wait so 5 FULL SIZE KNIGHTS? for almost same price as one knight? where... does that go? like, when i check this box on sites, and cannis rex, its just 30-40 dollar difference what is going on? shouldnt it be like, extremely more expensive...? is buying a single knight a scam now since you can get literally 5 for almost same price?

All of the other reviews of this box have been negative and focused on the lack of troops and Crisis suits. Looking at it as a way to have a One Box Army, sure, it's not great. What they've failes to see is just how good this is for affordably expanding an existing army with the expensive units. From that perspective it's fantastic! The last time I saw a box aa good as this waa the Apocalypse Spearhead Detachment back in 2019.

i am starting warhammer, and in turn starting with IK. this info has helped me so much now i am just deciding if i want one or two sets (as i fiund a store that has 2, in January, and they are discounted a bit). 2000 pt IK army out the gate would be just over $400. yikes!

How did you get on mate?

Havent been able to find a review of this anywhere, but to me its a fantastic set. How would you compose a 1000 point army from it? Great video!

Go Deathwatch! if you only could find 20 more pts to swap out a Phobos Lieutenant for a Phobos Librarian to go with your Infiltrators.

Having to paint up a bunch of new models every time GW changes how the Deathwatch works is definitely a pain in the butt, but at least the Deathwatch can still have mixed units. The Grotmas index got me excited. Spectrus teams with an Instigator and a Phobos Lieutenant can move crazy distances on the board. Fortis Kill Teams seem greatly improved - there's so much mixing and matching potential now that Infernus and Desolators can be included and the Intercessor minimum is down to 3 - two of which can have Astartes Grenade Launchers! Talonstrikes are IMO better than including bikes/jumps in Fortis teams, that's a ton of mobile firepower. Now if GW would just make a new Upgrade Sprue so that we can all get some Gravis/Terminator shoulderpads, that would be great.

According to the player package, ANY adeptus Astartes in the Black Spear Task Force would benefit from the Mission Tactics... you might see some souped-up DW made out of Adeptus Astartes...

started playing chaos knights a few weeks ago and found myself winning around 80 percent of my games. I do use a knight lancer though because he gives my brigands assault

O I didn't know it's got minis in there I thought it was just terrain 😮

can i use the grenade throwing marine as a grenadier if i glue more grenades on the chest and chainsword on hip ? yes it dont have a heavy bolt pistol . but the original grenadier model from the assault box that is used for killteam and the datasheet also dont have pistol&chainsword just grenades in both hands .

Even if it's not set up for competitive chaos knights what could you realistically build with this box? (I play tyranids so i truly enjoy big ass models and dont really wanna play 13 mini knights tbh.) With no access to chaos knight bundles is this worth getting?

I have gone in and out of 40K and Fantasy for the last 20 years. I have had Dark Elves, 'Nids and Sisters. I have always wanted to try Tau out mainly for the Supremacy Armor, so I am seriously looking at this box as a start of an all mecha force. But getting back in to this game would mean ending a 2 year timeframe where I have been Warhammer free.

A lot of retailers got their allocation completely cut. Another failed delivery by GW.

I got mine for $120, sold everything but the orks for $75.

I use a well palette (actually one of those silicone fidget toys that you pop with your fingers) for all my washes and contrast/speedpaints, this seems to keep them working well for longer than putting them on a palette while not thinning them like a wet palette would. Good video, will check out more of yours. :)

When you consider the previous sisters battle forces this contains the units they never had in them

It's not a bad box set, but I would have liked it more if it had some battle sisters in it. I'm sure the people who already have a decent army could use these units. I wouldn't buy it if I were to start a new army. Thanks for sharing!
