One thing about this artist Asa (Asha) is that she never disappoints. Keep singing, my dear. I'm following you from the Ivory Coast 🇨🇮. God bless and protect you and everybody reading this comment now.
From what I understand, Odo means “Baby” in Yoruba (Southwest Nigeria). “Odo yewu” is a casual endearment phrase. Ofcourse there are language similarities found in the Southwest of Nigeria and Ghana so no surprise that it actually means something in TWI. But she isn’t singing in TWI, she’s singing Yoruba.
@@stormieblaze510 in this case I actually think she’s singing the twi “odo “. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the videographer is Ghanaian and the video is filled with beaches and locations im Accra. I think it’s a nod to the Akan/ twi expression of love which is “ odo.”
@@Sue_AA You could be right actually. Being an artist and just seeing the similarity in both languages, she could have intentionally blended both and it worked. Makes it even more beautiful to think she’s woven two cultures and languages together to create such beautiful music. ♥️
Cheers, to the days that grammies start doing the right thing and recognizing the right people... Until then, our glasses are raised to the awesomeness of my love, B. Elemide. The living legend, Asa
I discovered her CD Beautiful imperfection at the library 3 months AgO and rechecked it out again this week. And listened so much think I need to buy it. Beautiful inside & out. Love her smooth yet complex voice! This song 2, So good!

If you’ve listened to no one knows tomorrow and u will realize this has the same spirit uplifting vibe. This woman’s songs are spiritual and to have sung in Twi awww my goodness what more can Ghana 🇬🇭 ask for
No matter what My beautiful daughter’s going to perform covers of your songs soon… she’s just 1 year and 7 months old… but she loves your songs… and the strings is a wisdom packed instrument
I love how love is represented in every form here. It's pure, kind, romantic, soulful and rich in this video. Both in the family, romance and friendships, this is how it should be.

Odo means Love in the Akan language of Ghana
🇧🇴 in the house y'all. So, Odo means love in the most commonly spoken language "Twi" (Akan) here in Ghana.

You should care. In music, communication is key and spelling is part of them.
