One of the Top 5 most influential female artists of her generation as far as I can tell (other 4 being Esperanza Spalding, Brandi Carlile, Lizz Wright, and Valerie June in my honest opinion). Asa's music just transcends boundaries like those of the great ones that came before her have done and I'm STILL kicking myself for not discovering her from the start, shame on me and me alone (lol)! 😅
