    The stop light device can be used in a classroom to help make children aware of their noise levels. I taught for 40 years, and also used one in the cafeteria when I had lunchroom duty. If it got to red, the children knew they had to stop talking altogether. You could adjust the decibel levels according to your situation.

    After a locker like that, you wake up in the morning and instantly begin to psych yourself out, so you can go back and finish it. Sometimes you just want to load the trailer up and take it all to the dump. Yes, there’s money in there but it’s so much work and you always get the feeling that you’re not gonna find a gold mine. You can do it Jack be tough.

    Jack...The beauty of only paying $1 is it doesn't take long to get into the positive side of the ledger, even with all the garbage. Looking forward to the next one.

    Men's ties can be turned into great stitchery items, if you want to market them as such. I fell in love with a maxi skirt one year, but didn't have the figure for it. I do have a tote bag that a friend made for me from the collection of ties I gave her!

    10:59 The CED VideoDisc movies are a niche collectable. It was RCA's own format that's different from LaserDisc which is physically similar to a record. CED was only on the market for about 3 years in the early 80s as VHS took over for general movie watching / home recording and LaserDisc became the default for more discerning movie watchers. That set of movies is impressive so hopefully a collector shows up to De Anza.

    Great video! Loving the variety of items being picked out. Goes to show that it doesn't have to be an expensive locker to be an interesting one!

    Nice one n Jack deffo please I hoped you started from the top down on that broken unit near the end. Some good stuff there still. You made me giggle with the quill pens as we call them fountain pens in the uk n quill pens we associate with when the cut the quill on a feather n dipped it in ink in the olden days lol. Stay safe 👏👏👍🏻👍🏻😍

    When I was in jr. high in Santa Monica, I would walk to the military surplus store before going home and buy me some fatigue pants. Loved them! Wish originals were still around. I know several people that were chemistry majors in college that would love that old o-chem book. That locker is such a mess.

    The ball at the end looks like a Bocce ball {Pronounced "Bahchee ball"}. My Italian uncles would play when they visited our house. They would toss out a little white ball and everyone would try to get the closest to it or knock each other out.

    What you are calling laser discs are in fact CEDs (Capacitive Electronic Disk) which is a disk that pays on RCA machines. These are relatively rare and need a special player. -Dan

    Lets say I win a storage locker auction and I pay $2000 for the unit. The Storage business is owed $600 in back rent from the original renter who defaulted, so the business takes their $600 out of the $2000. That leaves $1400 left over, who gets that $1400? The auction company or the original renter who defaulted?

    • @LockerNuts
      @LockerNuts  ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The prior renter is supposed to get the money. It's all based on lien laws, so if you think about it in terms of a home with a delinquent mortgage, and the home is forced to sell at auction, the owner would get the proceeds after the mortgage is paid in full. Same goes with these units.

    • @sk8artz
      @sk8artz ปีที่แล้ว +1
