Wanna know whats crazy? If things keep going like this or get worse, Cade is probably gonna get fed up and try to get outta detroit. But the issue with that is that people will call him a traitor for ditching the team that drafted him. But if he stays, he will go down as a part of one of the worst performances by an nba team in history. Its a lose-lose for Cade.
I actually watched the game they lost to Brooklyn yesterday. They actually showed a lot of fight in that game. They did not seem like a team that was on a record-breaking losing streak. The reason they lost was probably because of James Fool (not Wiseman). Having Jalen Duren back did help somewhat.
Pistons rebuild didn’t start until they decided to move on from Blake Griffin and D-Rose during the 2020-2021 season. Sekou was under a whole different administration and the 3 picks in 2020 were brought in to do a two timeline thing with Griffin. Rather than trading their players for assets in the 2020 off season, they went out and got vets Grant, Plumlee and Wright to help Griffin make the playoffs. It’s on Gores. Not hiring a GM in 2019 after SVG, not allowing a full rebuild in 2020 before people knew Blake was shot, getting involved in the coaching search this summer. Going back even further, he didn’t fire Dumars in 2013 - instead he gave an ultimatum of making the playoffs or else. He whiffed on multiple drafts but won almost every trade until Gores stepped in and forced a trade for Griffin. If you’re going to tell a story, tell it in the proper context.
I don’t think Killian Hayes has a future here but his Defense is exactly why he’s on the court. He can’t shoot but his vision and defense is solid. He’s only 22 as well he can still develop but not in Today’s NBA unless he’s on the bench and develops a good consistent mid range. Forget about 3s

The reason this is the worst team in NBA history is because that Philly team that they took the record from essentially told everyone that they were trying to break the all time losing record. "trust the process" meant they were going to shamelessly try and lose every single game to stack up on as many high picks as possible. And with next years draft being seen as a massive dud I highly doubt the plan in Detroit this season was to lose. It was probably to win and they still knocked the biggest tank job in NBA history off the top spot.
Everything went wrong when we traded a decent wing player who can sometimes start for a 3rd string center who only touches the floor when there are injuries or fouls
The Detroit Pistons is now the new NBA Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the 70s. The worst losing streak in sports history, continues. The late HC Chuck Daly would be saddened today
Another example of why tanking does not work. The recent rebuilds from Brooklyn, Memphis, Minnesota, OKC, & Sacramento worked because they hired GM's that had a plan and knew what they wanted as far as building a roster. There's more talent in the league than ever, The defending champions best player was a 2nd Round Pick and the Heat made the Finals with 8 guys that went undrafted on the roster. So where are a guy is picked doesn't matter now. What makes the difference is scouting. And we know that not every team invests in that department as much as they should. Especially now with all the one and dones coming into the league.
It's not entirely draft luck though, there's a measure of GM bad decisions there. Even if the draft picks didn't end up in the top 4, why pick Ivey when you already had Hayes and Cade? Should have either picked the best big on the draft or traded that pick to someone who would have valued Ivey highly.
Hayes is not a non factor on defense, he’s a good on ball defender and a top player in steals the last few years. Gores is to blame, he forced Griffin trade, he forced Cade draft pick (I think Mobley would have fit better). And he forced the Monty hire (who doesn’t want to coach, but can’t turn down 80mil.) . First Thing Detroit Need To Do Is To Let Go Of Killian Hayes. Cause Dude Is Just In The Way Of Guards That Can Actually Play Marcus Sasser Is Showing Potential Of Being A Capable Scorer On and Off The ball So Trade Killian For Future 2nd Rounders. The Second Thing is They Floor Spacing Is Terrible Cause Big Man Rotation Jalen Duren is The Starting Center Without A Question But Pairing With Isaiah Stewart in The FrontCourt Is Just Bad Spacing Cause Stewart Is Not A Good Shooter To Pair With Duren On The Court. They Need A Forward That A League Average Shooter And Can Play Defense That Can Switch To Guards And Forward Someone Like OG Trading Away Bey Was A Terrible Mistake. Cause He shooting A League Average percentage and Could Play The 3 And The 4 Move On From Wiseman And Let Marvin Bagley Have Them Backup Minutes And Trade Bojan For Drafted Capital Best. Cade, Ausar, Ivey Are Untouchable Move Ivey As Six Man and Start Sassers.
The owner made a terrible judgment call and gave the coach a huge money contract for the next 5 years. So even if he sacks him he still has to pay what’s left on the contract, so at this point might as well keep him and hope to get something out of him.
Cade is being the one at the for front of all the media but it is not his fault. The man is doing everything he can. If anyone should be the blame it should be coaches and the front office. Cade is very young and missed basically the whole season last year. I would never expect for a player to come back and carry their team to wins like they are expecting him. Solid players on the Pistons as well so not sure how they are this bad. Once again I would point to the coaching.
A lot of people who aren't fans needed to stop speaking on why the Pistons are bad. It's more than bad picks. Team like OKC, Magic, Rockets had assets to trade Pistons got nothing for BG or Dre. They also have a crackhead owner, it's a lot of bad going on besides the lottery. There also not the worst team, this streak is just real ugly, but look at the standing they are only a couple games below Spurs, Wiz and etc. 10:27 Also the owner is TOM not Tim Gores
Wow.. first, Sekou was rated higher than he was picked. They actually said he dropped in that draft. And Killian Hayes was rated higher than Haliburton and Maxey.... even by so-called nba expert Bill Simmons. Missed out on Keegan Murray? Omg.. Jaden Ivey was rated HIGHER THAN HIM, Mathurin and Sharpe ( who you failed to mention..NOBODY knew what he was as a player outside of being hyper athletic), and once again you failed to mention Jalen Duren( all Nba rookie second team with Jaden Ivey) and didn't they draft Saddiq Bey and Isiah Stewart( who also made All Nba Rookie teams)? Also, the players they signed, Joe Harris and Monte Morris( who hasn't played all season becuz of injury but was slotted as a big part of the rotation) were 3pt shooters expected to help with spacing. SAME with Burks, Isiah Livers and Bojan( who had been hurt for the first part of the season). It's really funny that when Detroit made a bunch of these moves, they were praised by the same ppl questioning the moves now. The Pistons' biggest mistakes were not addressing getting veterans to help mentor the young players at the wing and four spot in free agency. Also Weaver came in to a team he didn't know and he's more of a veterans coach than Rookie developmental coach and the owner should've let Weaver higher the coach HE WANTED for the team he was trying to construct hence the weird rotations. The Pistons aren't bad. They are young without leadership. Put a 2-way wing or a real power forward in, and they don't have a 27 game losing streak.

I just don’t like how the media put Cade in the thumbnails like bro he is playing his ass off for that team and putting the great numbers. He should request a trade because they ruing his images like dude is not a loser he is a great player
As a soccer fan from Europe i dont understand why they don’t sack the Coach.
They dumped a bunch of money into him to start this season and over the next 5 years
The owner made a terrible judgment call and gave the coach a huge money contract for the next 5 years. So even if he sacks him he still has to pay what’s left on the contract, so at this point might as well keep him and hope to get something out of him.
FYI: we don't sack coaches over here. They get fired.
How is it the owners fault? They have a GM and coach.
BADanovic is not even bad... I feel bad for him.
This is what happens when you lose the draft lottery
A lot of people who aren't fans needed to stop speaking on why the Pistons are bad. It's more than bad picks. Team like OKC, Magic, Rockets had assets to trade Pistons got nothing for BG or Dre. They also have a crackhead owner, it's a lot of bad going on besides the lottery. There also not the worst team, this streak is just real ugly, but look at the standing they are only a couple games below Spurs, Wiz and etc. 10:27 Also the owner is TOM not Tim Gores
Pistons have a lot of talented guys that dont fit together
Wow.. first, Sekou was rated higher than he was picked.
Killian Hayes has got to have the worst IQ in the league watching him play last night pissed me tf off and I’m not even a pistons fan
I like them to beat the 28 than the total for losses in a season
Killian Hayes is not a non factor on defense that’s one of the two things he’s actually good st
I'd rather have Cade on other team so he can explore himself more
Can you imagine if they got rid of the lottery and make it like NFL?
Weaver keeping his job is idiotic he’s been subpar to say the least
They should hire Dan Campbell.
dam the pistons getting flamed all over the tube
Definitely should trade everyone at this point
Bojan was traded for. Not a free agent. They've had no success in free agency since arguably tre lyles
It read, Cade, Biggest Loser Ever. You can not call someone in the NBA the biggest loser ever.
At least the Lions going hard 🩵🩶🩵🩶
How many 1st round pick do they need they just suck
The best worst team ever
They should go for a losing record that’s impossible to beat , who cares about them at this point.
Need kd for sure or beal
No proper defense
