This man is grateful and you can see it in his physique despite getting to 78 years old he is still looking agile and strong.
No one is infallible except God. KSA's era was exceptional and trail blazing, and we would only hope that there will even be more brilliant eras worth examining and celebrating.
Even God is infallible.Doesnt God make mistakes?
I love this baba, he have spirit of appreciation, which others don't have.
Haji Timmy is a great man. Appreciation is a relative word though. I.e. where you sit, not only indicate where you stand; but also what you see.
God will continue to bless Alhaji Tiamiyu and also give you long life in good health and happiness to enjoy the fruits of your labour 🙏.
May God continue to bless you Alhaji Tiamiyu for always saying your truth on KSA magnanimity towards you and his band members .
It pays to show appreciation to whom it is due.God bless you and your family.
Make what you want from his revelation. He's consistent with everything he said. Make hay while the sun shines. He's reaping the benefits of his decision which he made early in life.
Though, Alhaji Tiamiyu may not have realised but he has confirmed all the issues that has always been raised time and again by former band members, not only of KSA but other musicians as well.
They are obviously not well compensated. Alhaji mentioned a benefactor that has placed him on salary for over 30 years, he got his land in Lagos where he built his house as a gift as well as building blocks.
He also mentioned he was involved in a number of businesses. It could well have been that most of these benefactors were his fans or KSA fans but it does not negate the fact that the band boys were not well compensated to be able to improve their own living standards.
Seems Alhaji has the social skills and business acumen not relating to his talent as a drummer and he has made something out of it.
That doesn't take away the argument of other drummers and band members (not only of KSA) who have narrated their experiences pertaining to poor compensation.
Kudos to Agbaletu, a very professional interview.
I agreed with you. Alhaji confirmed all but he is hypocrite. He didn't want to offend KSA
Please kindly include life performance of the artist you are interviewing.
I've once told him that.
It's just for memory purposes
And old pictures from the albums
Im fast becoming a fan of your show. Your meticulouse scrutiny and relentless attempts and get points across without losing focus my respect . Without trying to distract you and listeners by throwing you off topic . Find Israeli Adesanya world famous MMA FIghter. I like to hear the dept of his yoruba what town is his name from. Pardo my curiosity. Sometimes ulters short phraces. Bless you. I trust you can go there and make it fit on you show.
I think Alh. Timmy is the most streetwise and loyal band member.
He isn't showing loyalty but gratitude.
Agbaletu what Baba Tiamiyu is telling is simple …. All of them who were once drummers with KSA and currently residing outside the country were able to move coz they already had travel history thanks to KSA
Secondly he used the goodwill of KSA to venture into personal business
Bi a ko ri eni ba la Olaa kin yaaa boro
Sir, Timmy fully loyal to King SUNNY ADE.
Mr. Adeyanju is good to be a detective under law enforcement because he can detect a lot of crimes from criminals.
😂
I have to change my earlier perception of Alhaji Tiamiyu. It's good to hear from someone before judging him. I heard / read so much about how he betrayed KSA. But with what I heard from him today, he's not what I thought he was.
Nobody is perfect, KSA has tried his best for his band boys. Those who planned their lives are enjoying today. Alhaji Timmy really appreciates what he gained from or through KSA. He's not like others who portrayed KSA in bad light.
Haji Timmy NEVER betrayed KSA. If anything, KSA betrayed him with his many antics but Haji Timmy took things with maturity, gratitude and grace. Whatever version you heard before was 100% wrong. KSA like other band leaders, promoters and politicians of the time (same till today for the latter) operated on the principle of "use and dump" for their own self preservation and to keep their tight grip on things. One can't blame them entirely though even though they in many ways did many wrongs.
@@ultimateone
I can't agree with you that KSA betrayed Alh. Timmy. There are many things my brother. And mind you, I haven't said my perception is 💯% wrong.
Keep doing what you are doing Mr. Dele, you are one in a million, i knew people will want to start using that rhetoric of you using the programme to run big stars down, a lot of our people are highly subjective in their reasoning, i see your work as a double edged sword and a balance of justice and equity, especially more favorable to the less privileged of the parties involved. God bless. This Alhaji is one of your most analytical thinking interviewee.
Agbaletu big kudos to you...
Alh. Timi really hit the points but what baba rasaq aladokun and baba simoni Ayelabowo said is call youthful lust or youthful exuberance.
Please our Baba's let bygones be bygones. We all have our differences.
Please interview Baba simoni Ayelabowo before he return to Uk pls, we need to hear from him been a while, and please let them play talking drum for us. My mentor🎉
He's so smart and that's what majority of them.should do instead of spending money anyhow. He invested his money wisely
Easier said than done. Remember, most of those men were young, semi illiterates that had very limited formal education or exposure at the time. They also had limited native intelligence or entreprenuerial skills. Hence the once that ended up being OK eventually, saw escape out of the country as their only way out and took to their heels in that direction. Thank goodness, America, britain etc saved their skins from ridicule. It would have been nice though for Dele to have raised the issue of Segun Osa' Ilori's recent death with Haji Timmy, to get more insight as to the events that led to it and what happened afterwards.
Gratitude, gratitude and gratitude. Alhaji Tiamiyu.
Very insightful interview, so many lessons will be learnt generally about life not only musicians. Love it❤.
Good to hear Haji Timmy again. It is however of concern that he had a support crutch walking stick in the background which means he currently isn't walking unaided. Hope nothing too serious. I wish him complete and speedy recovery. He is a lovely man with uncommon sense of gratitude, native intelligence of the highest order and humility; especially for someone previously in the music trade. He was spot-on though with all the things he said in this interview which included new revelations of his time with African Beats. Hat off too to Dele for his outstanding anchor and interviewing skills which gave Haji Timmy no room to duck and dive penetrating questions. I am proud of you.
Mr Dele Adeyanju......
I like all these your series.
Everything has been wonderful and fantastic.
This Baba Alhaji Timi is a very great, disciplined, and forthright man.
Kudos for this interview and the great work you are doing 👏
This Baba is making loads of sense..Ajeh
Alhaji Tiamiyu is a good man himself.
@Agbaletu: it is good to listen to every side of a story. I can begin to see the balance in the whole narrative. Baba Timi is a grateful man and gratitude is a good thing.
Mr adeyanju pls help me get Mr alaragbo old kollintin ayinla band boy pls
This man will enjoy his old age. He is not entitled. He will be blessed.
This is indeed, a grateful soul. God bless you sir
Tiamiyu mi ayan! O ba filu simi nibadi oo ma fijo ha fun e tori...... May you live long baba Tiamiyu 🙏. Weldon Dele Adeyanju JP Agbaletu 🙏
Kudos to this man
I said it in Alhaji tiamiyu first interview thatt he was been economical with the truth, of course i understand he didnt wana offend anyone , but Mr Adeyanju was smart enough to extract the truth out of him. Band Leaders are not saints , no doubts they are bosses in their own capacity and so are the band boys .
There can never be two or more bosses in a band. He who wants to be boss can leave and set up his own band
There could be a theory on this Baba's philosophy "Fame Vs Fortune'
baba had start planning his way out of drumming as a career since when he took himself to learn the trade of fashion designing.
Our teeming bunch of graduate youths who claim there are no jobs could learn so much from Haji Timmy's (who didn't have the educational privilege they have) Entreprenuerial spirit, which has done him so much good.
Rasaki Aladokun is ungrateful to king sunny Ade he was saying rubbish against KSA
Very very ungrateful and very rude towards his boss
We can't say that seriously, we don't see most things internally, I think what really pained baba rasaki was KSA not taking him to Steve wonder as he mentioned in nigbatiTv interview but all is past, it's high time they leave the past behind and reconcile now that they are still alive.
These men made our childhood melodies.
@@ayanseyi1536That shouldn't be an excuse for him to be rude and ungrateful to his boss. By now he should know that there are people that are better than him in the area of his expertise but God used KSA platform for his rising to stardom. Rasaki Aladokun has not done well at all. It's unfortunate
I get you all, we are all humans, and have a different approach to reacting to issues, there are some people that can't make points without insult while some will make points coolly , we are imperfect, I just hope our role model can settle their differences
That's not true and it is wrong, VERY WRONG of you to say that. Were you there in the band with him? NO! Did you experience what he experienced in the band? No! Did anything he said about his time in the band wrong? No! And he never attacked KSA. He only relayed his own personal experience which actually align with those of other former band members. So how dare you! It is both crass and wrong for you to take a couple of isolated examples given by Haji Timmy to judge things that Haji Rasaki experienced in the band over 20 long years. After all, Haji Raski remained in the band for over 10 years after Haji Timmy left. Did Haji Timmy witness what Rasaki went through in those subsequent years? No! Thus, if you have nothing good to say, based on limited information, say nothing.
Thank you so much our very own Baale. May goo God continue to bless you. Sir, one thing I will suggest you recognise keenly when you are talking with all this our great men is, their AGE when those events/histories were made. History is beautiful, but the age of the subject of the history is also very important factor when they are making those event.
For instant, considering the age of both Alhaji and Rasak Aladokun when they were having clashes in KSA band in 80's or early 90's, were their very youthful arrogant stage of life, I know Alhaji is older but none of the two will be ready to bow for each other then.. They are both our baba now, and we appreciates them all.
or the case of Chief Commander and Segun Awe in 1978/79.
Bless you for outstanding words of wisdom.
I love your show , May the lord continue to bless your home
I can't just stop Laughing here, Dele Adeyanju actually used his Journalist tactics to keep Alhaji on his toes throughout, and I just enjoyed the suspense and the mood of the interview, everyone can feel the Ire & professionalism from beginning to end, very well loaded, Many of the points revealed here are very broad, (1) K1 de ultimate's false claim that Barrister is not the founder of Fuji is proven to be false. as Alh Tiamiyu confirmed the era of ''WERE'' and the time he started changing his pattern and finally name it fuji, with details (2) instances where KSA offended him by using Rsaki to ride him and also femi owomoyela (3) Alhaji Timi is very economical with the truth by not accepting that he was used to chase-out the Drummer that he met (4) Finally., I will advise Alh Timi to forgive Razaq Aladokun, the anger towards Razaq as a competitor by then is still very fresh in him and still gets him very upset, RazAQ to me has his own flaws, but was more creative than Alh Timi who just relied on popularity and influence from KSA Fans and was blessed so also Razaq......many band members are denied Today of all those priviledges and so, Alh Timi should Not be speaking for the disgruntled band members who did not have the same benefit that he enjoyed, my two cents
❤❤
This man is a straight forward man
Hes not if you listened to his first interview. Why do you think Mr Dele came back to get the truth from him
I could say this is the best interview I have seen so far.. he’s very factual
Sorry, Baba Timmy used to drink Big Stout o (Guiness) when he was with KSA. I personally witnessed this several times as I hardly miss the Friday jump at Ariya Night Club, Jibowu. He might have stopped at a later stage anyway.
Agbaletu, thank you for letting us know behind the scene.
God bless you alhaji Tiamiyu, . Taimiyu mi ayan.
O ba filu si mi nibadi o.. ki nfijo be.. tori Sunny ti de.. Alade ti de o oo. Ariya
Are you there when Feyi Akinrujomu was sunny Ade manager because you didn't mention him as manager
More wisdom sir
In conclusion, what really led to Alhaji Timi success was relationship management. He was able to know his position in the band, his wants, and actually planned well. From his words, he had good relationships with his boss fans and not presenting himself as "alatẹnujẹ" Importantly, he also shared business ideas with them. Which will be beneficial to them and himself. That was why they helped him.
This man has a very grateful mind and you can't helping someone like this. I listened to Rasaki Oladokun interview the guy is ungrateful guy he cannot never be grateful for anything even if God has to come down to help him.
Agbaletu, you omitted life preview of this man. Also, the divide n rules is a method bringing out a quality, not a bad idea.
A legend you are Baba, ę ku iwaju, ę ku agba baba mi
We thank and do things differently
I respect Agbaletu, he's very intelligent, baba was trying to dogged some questions.
Agbaletu, God bless you. This guys could afford 2K to purchase a land that time. 2k was alot back then. This man confirmed that they shop-life like their oga. KSA IS BABA FOR LIVE.!
This is why a society will degenerate when it’s pivot on social injustice. If baba wrong ọmọ baba should own up and apologize accordingly.
and you are yoruba right its well...bowo fun baba pelu mama o kojo ale koledun....
Alhaji Tiamiyu really frustrates Agbaletu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What did they do with the money then. That is a lot of money then
Pls which state Alha, Tiamiyu came from
Dean of old skool. Always on the move. The hardest working journalist as we speak
This nickname that you gave Dele 😂😂😂
He's right. Guys should understand he's no longer a young man. Age could make him say different things multiple times or make some mistakes while talking .
46:38 is Alhaji Basiru Omo West still around?
Alhaji is a great full man
I LOVE THIS BABA TIMI, IS NOT AN INGRATE PERSON.
Hmmmm... Ilu gangan
Dele, you're too smart
All of them are reaping all the good and bad they did behind KSA.
Thanks to Baba KSA for his patients, tolerance, loving and his generosity.
In no distant future, I am sure we will begin to beam serious searchlight on the band KSA led. That he survived remains a MIRACLE. KSA will never dignify the disgruntled former band members a reply to all their shenanigans. KSA was first among equals, and he was very furm and fair.
The noise is much
Smile
It’s obvious baba is just been diplomatic. He’s just managing the truth
Mr Dele don't always try to put egin Ose in bad light,Timmy said it as it was.
It’s either the man is having Alzheimer or he is not too honest. Adeyaju is just fact-checking his narrative with probing questions.
Eeyan buruku gbaa ni,Rasaki yen
Alhaji Mutiu is an elderly man who needs not to be timid of saying a sorry when he makes a mistake or commits error. This is the standard golden rule of nature.
If I were him, I wouldn't find it difficult to tender an apology for mistakenly used the adage of "Ki eru mo ara re ni eru...." at an inappropriate time when the adage was used.
The context is right.
Adage is adage.....not that deep
NO NIGERIAN MUSICIAN PULL MORE CROWED THAN KSA.
Why are you not ever settling with a good compliment always digging for negativity
Arojinle ni baba yi ni
Abisola Awofodu
It's regrettable, Rasaki changes the story according to his moods. I had heard him criticize KSA and praise Ebenezer Obey and Ayinde Barrister. At the moment he was in financial difficulty. I then heard him say good things about KSA on another show. These financial problems have certainly disappeared.
It can not be otherwise. When a human being designates someone else as their boss, boss, etc. …he does not consider himself a responsible human being and he has no confidence in himself.
You need to go and listen to Rasaki's interviews again (I've heard them tens of times) as you must have missed the very many important points he made. He DID NOT criticise KSA.
@@ultimateone
Between you and me, someone must have missed out. I have nothing against a musician. And KSA was a great friend of my father.
Low self-esteem really affected this man. As a drummer you are a professional too. But he's acting too inferior. Anyways, agbayin a dale....eku iwaju
I think you missed it. That is Omoluabi ethos. Baba knew his worth that was why called it quit and refused to reapply. There is reward in humility.
@@olaafolabi2892 You don't understand my point. DonJazzy is a producer, Rihana is a great singer. If both had an opportunity to work together. They should both know their worth despite being an honour working together. Not that Don Jazzy will now be talking like he is a slave to Rihana. No! He is also a professional. Did Sunny teach baba how to play drum? He is also a professional not a slave
The low esteem that made him a prudent and successful man. What happened to his colleagues who haughty and high mindedness.
Agbaletu should be calming down and not putting words in peoples mouth. Let them speak and not be assuming what you think they meant. “Olorin l’oga onilu.”
Agbaletu you can see that most KSA band boys are so ungrateful they praise KSA for doing good to them
Arrant nonsense. Grateful for what? They were all partners in a musical band!
This is a little minded contented person that think he is ok, 1 out of millions
I think is good to be contented, count one's blessing, and give God all the glory as he is. Some may not like that though.
Alhaja Timi is a great Drummer but so sad that he indeed really belittle himself .I wonder why he idolized others excessively .its strange and quite distressing , Well Done Agbaletu for your patience and forensic interview .
@@yomishittu4007 Point of correction ‘not be little’ but ‘humble’
@@teejay6690 My friend your point of correction is way off the mark , Alhaji Timi a Great first class Drummer that gladdens the hearts of many then when Lagos was Lagos with his trademark beats did not humble himself here what he did was to throw his constituency under a Bus , a great disservice to Drummers , his frame of mind is Disturbing
I wish him well but its sad , terrible .is old age partly responsible for this car crash ?
This man is a talkative and he talks out of context
Old age is the cause
Iro lopa,he is saying what he knows.
I think you said that because what he said is not what you like to hear.
You forgot this man is close to 80 years
RASAkI RASAKI you are not a good man for you to say bad things about KSA and you never mention for once abt d car giving to you in all your interview and also this a man that accommodate u when you first came to lagos in his own house haba am not saying KSA is 100% perfect but atlist you see light of life via KSA just take a look back and see some of your frnds that still remain in village till today pls mr man give glory to God in your life with what you achieved and pls talk less about some1 you use his ladder to move up in life
Have you actually heard the interviews you gave? I doubt you have. I say this because, you won't post this untruth garbage if you had done.
You mean RASAKI ? av listened to all his interviews even the one he did with Nigbati am not saying KSA is perfect but you don’t come out and say bad thing about him and not saying d goods as well i remembered when they ask him about the car cos he never mentioned it he only said Motor kini elo ni motor nah
Hypocrite. Alhaji finds it difficult to say he did not make his wealth through drumming but through another source. Not everyone has the opportunity to know business men through Sunny Ade. Your connection is entirely different from other drummers.
But 2k is alot of money in the 80s and 90s. what did they do with such money.?
