I think what makes Jill so appealing in this game is how well animated she is. Her movements are so exaggerated, expressive, and fun to see. Even her idle, crouching, jumping, and dashing animations have a lot of personality to them. If they put an RE character in Smash, it should definitely be THIS version of Jill. Hell, they can even pull a Hero and bring Chris, Leon, and Clair along as alternate costumes.

Jill is my favorite MvC2 character just because of how much fun it was to sic zombies on my opponents! If you hold down the punch button with Grenade Launcher, the grenade will actually travel farther, not that it helps the move much. It was always a treat to catch someone off guard with Return Fire when it worked.
The editing in this video is pretty fantastic (from the comedic stuff like the 1 frame Steve joke at 12:34, to the informative stuff like zooming in on Jill's inability to hit low after zombie at 10:52). It came out great! Shine on and get well Max!

My idea for Jill specials are three different guns for the punch specials, and three different grenades for the kick ones. Handgun for light that you can mash for up to five hits, SMG for mid that hits for 3-5 while keeping them in place, and shotgun for heavy that pushes them back. Frag for light that just hits, incendiary for mid that burns, and stun for heavy that launches upward. Charge will be the EX for a combat dodge which will perform a counter if you do the perfect dodge. The summons stay, especially Tyrant.

Nice to c Max doing one of my combos. MvC2 minds think alike. U can use the fire zombie mid screen. After launching using Gambits assist calling the fire zombie, Lk into hyper charging stars after 1 to 3 hits DHC into Jin's Blodia Vulcan, fire zombie will still be walking, after the special they usually drop onto the fire zombie. U can either Hp with Jin into Blodia punch or just do it timed right, then OTG crouching Lk standing Hp tag back in Jill, crouching Hp combo into hyper charging stars DHC to Gambit royal flush the DHC into Jins Blodia Vulcan again. Its completely unlockable an unrollable, very hard to pull out in a match but I have a bunch if times and it is a TOD combo an very satisfying to do
Fun fact: I have a s.t.a.r.s. shirt and I have a high tendency to say "I'm a member of s.t.a.r.s.!" EVERY time I wear it, referencing this game and how I love this character in this game.
"JILL IS AWESOME!" "She's not super viable. She's an incredibly mid-tier character. She's a D-rank character compared to those who are actually useful." hmmm
I am pretty sure no one played Jill as much as I did. Even beat Justin Wong once way back during the heyday of this game at Chinatown Fair. So here are some tricks that you did not talk about: 1. The Tyrant super is a mix-up. At the end of the super, if you rush forward, you can pick up your opponent for another air combo. If the opponent rolls, he can roll right into Mr. Grabby, which sets you up for another Tyrant super. Most characters will die after 2 Tyrant supers. 2. The Tyrant super only works if the opponent is standing (eg, if the sprite is in the right spot but falling, it doesn't connect), but it does work with Storm's tornado assist or Cable's hyperbeam assist, or any other assist that doesn't knock the opponent off of their feet. So Jill can be teamed up with many high tier characters. 3. Psylocke is a great anti-air assist for her. The frame count is perfect for another mix-up. If you catch the opponent with Pyslocke's anti-air, you can pick him up off the ground for an air combo. If your opponent rolls, he rolls right into Mr. Grabby. Jill is a great character for some psychological mind games. 4. Lastly, her crow projectile is a guard breaker for incoming characters. If you time it right, the crow forces the character to block just as he is entering the field. You can then launch him with Jill after block animation is done. Not many people know this, so it is very useful. In fact, this is the move I used to beat Justin Wong.
The fun thing about Jill, is that her moves mostly involve RE mechanics like enemy juking and stop-start repositioning as if you had tank controls, in order to create windows to get your moves to go the way you want. Very well translated from how you'd play RE1/REmake or classic RE3--as if you're still in the process of trying to escape the Spencer Mansion mid-MvC2 fight. She may not be the most powerful character, but her MvC2 character definitely captured the essence of oldschool RE in her playstyle.
I use to main Jill in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 I love her combos and how quick she is Capcom was able to turn non fighting games characters into great fighting characters.

U can either Hp with Jin into Blodia punch or just do it timed right, then OTG crouching Lk standing Hp tag back in Jill, crouching Hp combo into hyper charging stars DHC to Gambit royal flush the DHC into Jins Blodia Vulcan again. Its completely unlockable an unrollable, very hard to pull out in a match but I have a bunch if times and it is a TOD combo an very satisfying to do

I am pretty sure no one played Jill as much as I did. Even beat Justin Wong once way back during the heyday of this game at Chinatown Fair. So here are some tricks that you did not talk about:
1. The Tyrant super is a mix-up. At the end of the super, if you rush forward, you can pick up your opponent for another air combo. If the opponent rolls, he can roll right into Mr. Grabby, which sets you up for another Tyrant super. Most characters will die after 2 Tyrant supers.
2. The Tyrant super only works if the opponent is standing (eg, if the sprite is in the right spot but falling, it doesn't connect), but it does work with Storm's tornado assist or Cable's hyperbeam assist, or any other assist that doesn't knock the opponent off of their feet. So Jill can be teamed up with many high tier characters.
3. Psylocke is a great anti-air assist for her. The frame count is perfect for another mix-up. If you catch the opponent with Pyslocke's anti-air, you can pick him up off the ground for an air combo. If your opponent rolls, he rolls right into Mr. Grabby. Jill is a great character for some psychological mind games.
4. Lastly, her crow projectile is a guard breaker for incoming characters. If you time it right, the crow forces the character to block just as he is entering the field. You can then launch him with Jill after block animation is done. Not many people know this, so it is very useful. In fact, this is the move I used to beat Justin Wong.
Resi 1 Jill is the character i'd love to see as a resi rep in Smash.

The fun thing about Jill, is that her moves mostly involve RE mechanics like enemy juking and stop-start repositioning as if you had tank controls, in order to create windows to get your moves to go the way you want. Very well translated from how you'd play RE1/REmake or classic RE3--as if you're still in the process of trying to escape the Spencer Mansion mid-MvC2 fight. She may not be the most powerful character, but her MvC2 character definitely captured the essence of oldschool RE in her playstyle.
I use to main Jill in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 I love her combos and how quick she is Capcom was able to turn non fighting games characters into great fighting characters.
Can this be a new mini-series? Why I LOVE [Character] in [Game]. I really enjoyed how in depth this was.
