My grandchildren (4 of them) want me to make my chicken tenders and fries once a week! Three of them are teenagers! I fry in a large cast iron pan and it’s a 5 lb bag of potatoes!! With the tenders, it takes me about 2 1/2 hrs to do the meal from start to finish! I do the fries first then the tenders so I have to put the fries in the oven to keep them hot. It works pretty good! God bless you and your website. I’ve tried many of your recipes!!! Yummy!!

You know that’s the Biggest compliment from young tastebuds-Not wanting you to take them to McDonalds once a week for Nasty Nuggets & fries!!! Plus! I can already hear them, loooong after you’ve “retired”, laughing about how they got you to make them chicken tenders & homemade fries, while they’re cooking’ ‘em up,& telling Their teens & Grands!!! They might even make that a family gathering tradition, when they meet up, bc of all the Joy you spread in their hearts, minds,& bellies!!! We Grannies get to smile while cooking, bc it’s Not a complicated request, like fried green tomatoes, or some other expensive dishes!!!

A little friendly tip you can use a little bit of baking soda or salt on the water you're rinsing or soaking them in. It helps to draw out the starch and the end result is a more firmer fry. You only need a little like 1/4 tsp and rinse thoroughly, dry and fry 😋 remain blessed

Hello from Texas. Former fry cook here. We would blanch the potatoes at 350 degrees let drain well and spread out to dry. When cool and dry they can be bagged and placed in the freezer. Fry normally.

Thank You for sharing this. Brings me back to growing up. My Mum never double fried fries like they do now all greasey. Wondered recently how to do it even after cooking for 35 yrs. Loved the crispy wedge end pieces and small crispy bits back then. She never used thermometer back then till about early 90's and they changed . I grew up 70's and 80's and born in 72. So they didn't have the fryers they have now to cook things. It was either in Shortening or in oven loved the Shortening ones. Thank You again for sharing and bringing back great memories like homemade bread and Pizza Friday's from the bread dough she made for the weekend. She would pinch off some and we would have homemade pizza on Friday nights. Memories!!

I wanted to make something as simple as homemade French fries for a change.
I saw a couple other videos that were overly involved with the process. Once again, yours is clear, concise and easy to understand.
I've been following you for awhile and have made several of your recipes.
I had to learn to cook more a few years back when my wife was really sick. Your recipes were easy to understand and follow for a guy that didn't know much.
I'm not sure if my wife ever got to watch any of your videos, but I know she would have enjoyed them.
You have a very pleasant, peaceful way about you that she would have taken to.

When I was a teen, my BFF and I would come home from school and cook fried potatoes. There is NO COMPARISON to the homemade fresh fried and the frozen packaged cardboard. They are also cheap cheap cheap! We would cut them very thin for real shoe string french fries. They cook faster bc we wanted soft, so that they bent when you picked them up. Yummy!

Hi Becky. 👋 I just love ❤️ you so much and been watching you for 3 years now. I feel like I know you personally. Thank you for your faith and just your one scripture reading each video, has such an impact on us viewers. 🙏 your humility and sweetness is so genuine. The verse you read on this video and your explanation of it ( which I love that you give life application for each one you read) was just what I needed to here today. I did have an encounter today with some miserable woman( I think) that was so rude and nasty and my flesh right away wanted to strike back and give it right back to her but obviously it's not what the holy spirit in me would react to. It's a constant min by min act of obedience to do the opposite of everything we " want" to do and say to someone ( like I really wanted to punch her in the face) lol ( I grew up with brothers lol its my natural reaction) BUTTTTTT LOL I KNOW I CANT! I HAVE TO PRAY FOR THIS PERSON!!! WHY SHOULD I LET SOMEONE ELSE ROB MY JOY! ITS CRAZY. JESUS JESUS JESUS! it's such the narrow road ! I seriously was quoting that scripture you read us in this video in my head as i was driving back home after this encounter with this person today. Then I come home , sit on my couch. Make something to eat( i love to just put you on while I'm eating alone.) It's like I'm hanging out with my sister in christ in my kitchen, and your making these great French fries! and then you quote this same scripture! It's these moments when the LORD really does speak to us ! Through other people ! It's so super natural. I just want to thank you Becky and let you know that for one min DONT you ever doubt if your making an impact or think your little 30 min videos are insignificant because YOU ARE TRULY A GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT FOR THE LORD ! this ministry you and Brett created ordained by GOD is for his kingdom here on earth to spread his word and to evangelize to the world. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. I also admire your strength in JESUS to press on after your precious husband passed ❤️. You are a tower of power. I hope maby one day I can get to meet you. Maby at a woman's convention in tennessee? If you ever do something like that. GOD is using you for his glory and is doing mighty things through you.

What an encouragement you are sweet lady and I’m so grateful that the LORD led me to you and your channel. You have no idea that God has used you to confirm to me about how I need to handle a situation at work. I work at a high school and the students are very challenging ( that’s being very nice) I’m frustrated in how to deal with them and I watched a teaching earlier today that talked about us being a light and how am I showing my love for God and Jesus to others when I’m angry at how they treat me? Your scripture choice only confirmed that I need to treat them like God has treated me! Even though I broke his commandments and His heart daily! Grace for grace 🙏🏽 thank you for your wisdom much love from Massachusetts ❤

I feel my boyfriend being mean to me- I live with him so I’ll take this as a sign to return kindness, cook him some French fries and hopefully it does something. Thank you ma’am, this is the first video I clicked for French fries and the Lord knows I needed to hear this message. God bless you

My mum used to make chips when I was a kid, I remember really disliking then, I was so happy when oven chips came out even though those aren't brilliant. I'm from the UK so chips to me are what you call fries

Straight to the point and recomend options that are legitimately more logicaI.also love how you're saying to make them however I like, because there's probably 100 different ways you could do it.
