Happy New Year!!! Well Brian I have been following you since 2016. There are no words to express how grateful I am for you. You have been one of the most inspirational people I have ever met( not in person yet😁). I hope 2022 brings you continued happiness. The change in you over the years has been amazing to witness. I would love to see more of your wood carving, guitar playing and of course your cooking skills!! I still hope our paths will cross one day as I owe you a big Thank You ! Safe journeys to you and Kelly!
I enjoy your cooking videos. It inspires me that should I ever live a van life, I can eat real meals and not just canned soup and sandwiches. Plus I love seeing your builds and projects. A video showing how you find the spots to camp, especially the ones off of service roads, in the middle of nowhere, would be awesome! Happy New Year!
“Wherever you go, there you are” is a comment I shared in most all my exit interviews with employees moving on to their next opportunity. My bit of advice was to have learned from, and to be proud of their success, but to also do a bit of personal soul searching as they take themselves into their next piece of life’s journey.
That saying was on a poster I won at the county Fair in the 70s. It was probably psychedelic colors. To the other repliers, if you aren't there, where are you?
Happy New Year, Brian!! I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed SEVERAL Years of traveling vicariously thru your videos - your kind and gentle spirit SOoo welcoming.. The ONLY suggestion that comes to mind for ME is HOPING that you’ll incorporate MORE of your MUSICAL Talents into your videos here and there.. You are So talented and your music incredibly ethereal .. Much love and continued blessings
Long term viewer here. Brian you have matured over the years. You may feel socially awkward but you now express yourself well. And Kelly is a god sent. You two seem to gel well as a van dwelling couple.
I would LOVE to watch a series on the day-by-day camping in an area. In addition to the utilities you mentioned, can you please give daily information on your solar input/electricity usage, what it was used for, what the weather was, etc.? Thanks so much!!
Brian, you are like the best friend I have never met in person. :). Thanks for sharing your wonderful channel, Love your plans for the future and I'll look forward to seeing your new videos. Happy New Year and Best of Everything to you in 2022.
My favorite parts are the cooking vids, followed by scenic day hikes. I also like that you explore places the other rv'ers hadn't. I also liked the build-outs...but when you're done I say to myself, "If I attempted that, my rig would look like the Beverly Hillbillies ride."
I've been watching you for many years and I never noticed your social anxiety seem like a very conscientious dude into nomadic adventure, also after 6 years of watching I learned that you would rather work in Alaska and the plains as seasonal labor than do film work I was so surprised because your Drone work and nature photography is excellent! Happy New Year you've come a long ways from pushin" grass!
Hi Brian! It's Terri from Caravan 2. I've watched your videos since 2018 and now I realize that having you watching over our caravan group must've been a big step outside your comfort zone, since many people constantly looked to you for guidance and solutions to problems. I'm so happy you were the one to watch over us in Caravan 2. Your gentle energy and kindness set the tone, especially for us who were learning the nomad lifestyle in 2018. Thank you Brian!! Glad to know you! Keep your fingers crossed because some friends and myself are hoping to buy some land in 2022. You and Kelly must come visit. Hoping the land will include residents such as JR and other friends!!
Happy New Year Brian. I like the idea of the daily uploads to see what it looks like on a daily bases. I enjoy all parts of you videos, as a stay at home dad who cooks meals daily for the family I can relate on how much time just that alone can occupy. Stay safe and happy travels, Cheers
What an adventurous journey it has been, I imagine you couldn't envision living any other way. Also I would camp with you and Kelly anyday because y'all are wholehearted indeed. God bless you more.
Thanks, Brian, for all the hard work you do to inform and inspire us. I’ve been watching your videos for years and always look forward to the new ones. A few thoughts about some of the things you said: - Being a few years older, I believe that being able to fully stand up in your home is going to be much better for your back and your health in the long run. When I saw you checking out the box van, and standing up inside, I thought yes, I hope he gets this one! - I love your plan of showing us how you spend 14 days boondocking. I kind of wonder myself what that would be like. - I really appreciate your honesty about social anxiety and not wanting to film others. I guess I would add that I’ve always found you to be incredibly respectful of others, and as someone who can be socially anxious himself, I appreciate that you really give people their space. All the best for a Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Brian!!! I have followed you from the beginning when you were living in San Diego moving around to parking lots and beaches. I enjoy your channel because you are the “real deal” and do not put on a false/fake show, but rather document your challenges/struggles and show such beautiful scenery of this great country! There are a lot of people that can’t get out and see nature due to health issues or being stuck in a job where they get very little time off and if they do, they don’t have the money to travel. Keep up the great work and remember, you are an encourager to so many people that watch your channel!!!
I really love watching the food prep! I’d like to hear about your water system you have with the Berke water storage container. The space on your box truck looks so livable! Your very blessed to be living so free also! ✌🏻 👍🏻🇺🇸 🍜🥩
Out of all the nomad channels I have been following on TH-cam over the years, this channel has lasted the longest. All the other channels fell off for one reason or another. Brian is still out here doing his thing.
Happy 2022 ! Love all your ideas for the new year, and looking forward to enjoying your videos. Happy to see what’s in store for all of us lucky viewers who have been fortunate to have found you.
Happy New Year Brian. I always knew there was "more" to why I felt connected to you and your videos about living the van lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your fight with social anxiety, it's one that I share.
Congratulations Brian. I’ve enjoyed hanging out with you since January 2018 and can think of several of your videos that still stick with me. I enjoyed learning about the beet harvest, for example. I liked seeing you wrestle salmon. I like the way you drive into a new spot and share your process of picking a camping spot with us. It will be great to see a daily vlog from you in one spot. You have a talent for going into detail in a calm inviting manner. I’d like to be in Quartsite with you, but the Omicron variant is keeping me closer to home. Be well, see you down the road.
If you filmed for 2 weeks primitive camping you could wait till you get back to civilization and use Wi-Fi there to upload 14 days one day at a time and then have two weeks off. I'd be willing to wait that long. And then you don't have to worry about upgrading and the expense of an extra data plan. Just a thought.
I like the food prep, documenting the geology, flora and fauna, museums, carving, playing a musical instrument, and it is a nice touch when you are making coffee in the morning.
Keep in mind 80% of Canada is public land you can camp on for free, 21 days same spot, you can have an entire lake to yourself - you dont need to stay at the $40/night campgrounds. Exploring that would make for great content (you will need a permit as a US citizen but they're cheap, $20 or something for the summer)
Wow Brian time flys, I remember when you were still living in San Diego and just starting on the nomad life. Yours has been one of the few channels I have fallowed all this time. Thank you for being a good human. ✌️.
I really enjoy your work and appreciate all that you put into it. A 14 day video diary could really be cool. It would also be fun to see you with other folks & I love seeing your adventures with Kelly. She is fantastic. Happy New Year.
Documenting a full 14 day camp would be neat! Personally, I don't care if it is "real time" or not. Maybe just film the videos when camping and upload them one day at a time when you leave camp and have wi-fi? That works for me.
I dont understand the comments on if this is a cooking show . I love to see people living the van life and cooking. Its an integral part of living in a van. One gets a sense of completeness, a sense of home , a sense of comfort when one sees the cooking aspect. Actually, i find you show too little of cooking, grocery shopping and eating. I have been looking at all your past videos lately, and really enjoying them. i enjoy seeing the grocery shopping esp in different states and groceries/marts etc. Of course the sceneries are what i look forward too the most. Please continue doing what you are doing.
Really look forward to your updates, Brian, and so grateful you take time to make them. Wishing you a great year ahead. All the best. Anna and Andrew xx
Having watched videos by a variety of nomads such as yourself for the last five years (at least), let me say your videos are some of the most interesting, informative, and entertaining.
I really love the idea of “documenting” your daily adventures and activities!! I wish it was possible for me to travel, as well, but my husband isn’t interested in the idea of traveling the country for several weeks at a time, even as short-term nomads. I dream of traveling solo, but I know, even that, isn’t in my future!! Thank you so much for your videos. I’ve enjoyed them for a very long time.
I had been hoping for more video when you did your build out but now that you mentioned the social anxiety it makes more sense, continue to work on that, can't wait for your quartzite videos, love your cooking videos, you have great recipes, love your channel, glad you saw family at Christmas.
Happy New Year Brian & Kelly! I enjoy the cooking portions of the vids...camping doesn't mean crappy food...you have good ideas. Be safe & as always well traveled.
I like your idea about documenting daily life in a primitive camp. How about some vids every so often on how to be a nomad? Such as how to dispose of trash, dealing with mice, avoiding dangerous situations, talking about how important it is to watch the weather, and so forth.
It's been lovely following your journey all these many years! I've not only enjoyed the information, practical applications, & seeing the landscapes you've traveled through, but have felt that your thoughtfulness and kindness are always apparent. I hope that the new year brings more wonderful explorations for you & Kelly 💖
Glad you're thinking of making more detail. Seems you arrive at a campsite and pulling out at the end and say you've been there for 5 days and we don't see any of the time there.
I have been following from near the beginning and you have been an inspiration to me. I could be a nomad but have always had a home base. I look forward to your adventures in 2022. Thank you for bringing us along on your travels. How about a meetup in Tennessee in 2022.
Thanks for sharing your journey and yourself with us. Since you are one of my “imaginary friends” I really appreciate who you are and what you do and where you take me. Peace.
Congratulations on the 8 years. Have always enjoyed your videos and they/you were very helpful in my start of fulltime van life; now 5 1/2 years. Have a great 2022; Happy New Year 🎆🎊
Happy New Year! An idea; when you do the daily videos around camp, include showing the clock (start/end time of everything) to really show how long things take. Collecting firewood, meal prep, 2-mile walks, etc.. all those things take more time than people imagine. I'll be leaving Quartzsite on the 16th... I'll look to see where you are and see if I can stop by to meet you before heading home to Phoenix. Cheers! Pete - KI7LIL
I really hope you find a way of uploading, I miss the 2 videos plus the Saturday talks you used to do. Will enjoy the daily grind. Happy new year sir. Tell Kelly the same. Hope all is well with the family and glad you ran out to see them.
Happy New Year Brian, may the next year bring lots of adventures & great times I have been enjoying your work for years before the 'vanlife' movement became a popular trend & over exposed on social media, but you are one of the true originals...so thanks for your efforts & hope the box van is cozy. I just ordered a cubic mini stove, can't wait as we have many power outages all the time!
Thank you for sharing your goals.👍 It sounds like it would be interesting to see 👀 you document your two week stays.😃 May 2022 open many doors of opportunity for you. Stay safe and happy. 😊
It would be helpful to show how you plan your next location. How much research you do and how you find activities in that area. Followed you for the past four years, I now have a setup to travel. Won’t be able to make your meetup but hopefully someday I will meet you. Thanks for all you do Brian.
Brian my love, your box van looks very comfy. I love how you have equipped the inside. I’m glad you have freezer and refrigerator now. Your cooking area small kitchen looks nice. You have everything setup in organized manner. I envy your nomad life. I’m happy for you. Take care and stay safe and beware of false prophets 🙏🙏🌹🌹❤️❤️🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸🌞🌞🕊🕊👍👍😇😇
man i kinda like your introverted style of videos. focused on nature and environment its a nice break from the people who do the small talk with everyone and stuff
HNY! Yeah, maybe an episode or two of what you do in your everyday life. Still scratching my head on how you can do 2 weeks at a site and still put out a vid every week from the same site. : - )
Thanks for the update-I think a video/day for a 2 week camping would be very cool. Another thing I may have missed-but I do try and watch all your videos-is how you go about finding all the places you stay. And your travel route planning, I feel I find myself on interstates too much of the time, and you seem to be on the 2 lane roads which is where I'd rather be. Thanks for the way you present your life and yourself, I really appreciate it!
Brian, I've been watching your channel for many years. Your Travels and your outlook on things have been quite an influence on me. Very much looking forward to you documenting your long term stays. Go well today. Josh
Sitting on a beach in Mexico where Herself made asparagus soup in the Instapot. 75 degrees and sunny, a cold seawater swim and a 55 degree night ahead. Perfect. Your inspired videos worked. Here we are free camping in the wilderness.
Wishing you the best in the new year Brian. One of my favorite AVM videos is an oldie. I think it is called "West Coast Van Life." What made it stand out is when you were playing your guitar at the end. Maybe you can mix in more AVM Jamz if that is something you are still into.
Happy New Year!!! Well Brian I have been following you since 2016. There are no words to express how grateful I am for you. That’s…inappropriate. I would punch my boss in the face if they said that to me on my way out.
That saying was on a poster I won at the county Fair in the 70s.

Been watching for awhile. I love the cooking portions of your videos. I like the hour by hour realities of vanlife.
RIP CAMO DAVE!!
I hope you have some stickers at the meet up. Seeya then
I love the idea of documenting your full primitive camping trips but I think you should just make 1 long video of the 14 days
Happy 2022 !
Love all your ideas for the new year, and looking forward to enjoying your videos.

How you coordinate showers and how often I think is always a concern of those semi boondocking
Thanks for sharing your journey and yourself with us. Since you are one of my “imaginary friends” I really appreciate who you are and what you do and where you take me. Peace.

You have everything setup in organized manner. I envy your nomad life. I’m happy for you. Take care and stay safe and beware of false prophets 🙏🙏🌹🌹❤️❤️🍺🍺🇺🇸🇺🇸🌞🌞🕊🕊👍👍😇😇
man i kinda like your introverted style of videos. focused on nature and environment
its a nice break from the people who do the small talk with everyone and stuff
HNY! Yeah, maybe an episode or two of what you do in your everyday life. Still scratching my head on how you can do 2 weeks at a site and still put out a vid every week from the same site. : - )
Thank you for all the great content. Really enjoy your channel and your Chill personality.
I've been following you for 4yrs now. You're a blast. Keep doin what you're doin. Peace
Happy Holidays to you and Kelly. Enjoy and stay safe.
Happy New Year Brian and Kelly I like to watch your videos ...Have another happy year of van life
Thanks for the update-I think a video/day for a 2 week camping would be very cool.
The adventure continues into 2022
Thank you, Brian.
It's been a joy to watch your videos over the years.
Wish you all the best.
Happy New Year. I have really enjoyed your travels and visits with Kelly. She is so sweet. Enjoy your gatherings.
Good idea two week stay would be nice to see how you do it . I will be looking forward to your book about your experience's Hint Hint !!!
I enjoy the cooking and like to get ideas for myself.
Wishing you the best in the new year Brian. One of my favorite AVM videos is an oldie. I think it is called "West Coast Van Life." What made it stand out is when you were playing your guitar at the end. Maybe you can mix in more AVM Jamz if that is something you are still into.
