@@arthurlauth1380 it looks like he has triggers so he can just change the samples quickly so he doesn't need to tune to the song, and mostly tuning to specific note for drumset is a older practice, you will mostly find tuning drums to specific pitch or note will be used more in orchestras, wind assembles etc...
No triggers on the toms. I don't tune the toms to the key of the song ever, I find that at the end of the day toms in a pop/rock setting aren't pitched enough to matter. Better to tune the drum to where it resonates the most naturally rather than risk choking it to get it to a certain pitch.
sooo good I've been in love with ur drumming and I just found out about this channel, hopefully when the shows are back in u can get a recording of you should see me in a crown🙌🙌
Oh yesss, I didn't know you had a channel. I always wanted to know why there's a glass (or plastic, idk) barrier for you? Does it helps with the sound or it has another motive?
really love your videos! looking forward to see the happier than ever drum cams. the cymbals sound beautiful. what are they? and also, when billie creates a new song, do you record the drums with her?
I took a master class with a similar tour drummer that used to play with a major popstar, he told us that tour pay ranged from $7000-$10,000 per week. He also pointed out the fact that although it seems like a lot of money you may only be on one three month tour for the whole entire year.
@@andrew_marshall That makes sense, you wouldn't want extra pieces that you don't really need as those could get in the way of your playing. Thanks for the response!
A lot of people don’t realize how much the drummer contributes to the show. They could have just ran the tapes for the drums but not this band. It appears this drummer runs the whole tempo of the show. It just amazes me how a person can do 6 things at once. Question what does your in ear monitors play during the show. That would be neat to hear how you guys do it.
Just curious, is there a reason for the plastic like box around the front of the drums? I didn’t know if there was a specific reason like something about sound, or if it was just part of the stage design, so I’d figured ask if anyone knew :)
can we just talk about how loud the crowd is, it’s beautiful.
This show runs like a well oiled machine! You, Finneas, and Billie have put on one of the best shows I have ever seen.
And Andrew

The best drummer❤
thank you andrew. we appreciate this
thank You Andrew for being the best drummer ever!
Wow, that drum sound... The notes on the toms are perfect. Awesome job !
Are the toms tuned to a specific note to match the tonality of the song ?

FINALLY!!!😍💕
Oh yesss, I didn't know you had a channel. I always wanted to know why there's a glass (or plastic, idk) barrier for you? Does it helps with the sound or it has another motive?
It's plastic, and it keeps the sound of the drums out of the vocal mic.
@@andrew_marshall oh wow, thank you for the answer!
I missed these so much 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
love your playing man

Andrew Marshall ohh 😮 cool

If you could add one piece to your kit that isn't there already what would it be and why would you add it?
I really don't need anything else. Every piece on the kit serves a purpose and all my purposes are served.

Why do you have this "wall" in front of you? Is it for the sound or for the look
It keeps the drums out of the vocal mic.

The "plastic box" keeps in sounds and doesn't let outside sound in because the drums have mics on them so you don't want outside sound.
@@mikey2287 ohh that makes a lot of sense. Thank you for explaining!
Weird you have a shield on such a large stage. Sounds great though!
What kind of wood that side snare is . It sounds amazing🔥🔥
USA custom shell...maple/gum.
