My mind is completely blown! To see your chisels leave polished surfaces on their final pass is a thing of beauty! Thanks for showing next level layout and execution.
This is one of the most satisfying video I've ever seen in my life. The most complex joint with 100% precision. Such a talented craftsmanship you've displayed. Keep it up
I watch a lot of TH-cam. So much that I try and find other things to do to keep me from watching so much youtube. This series of videos is by far my favorite thing on TH-cam and I've never clicked so fast to watch a video
Precision is everything in this one, interesting to see that you cut one complete corner before adding the third leg, real clever way to do this joint. Bravo Sir
Dude. I love your vids but I need to keep my job so I’ll watch this later. Just here to show luv Edit: Back again, work over. Your video was cathartic. What a great way to wind down my day- thanks again!
This is the most amazing woodworking video I've ever seen. I would like to have the patience and skill to be able to make assemblies like this. I've gotten so used to power tools that I doubt I can use saws with that quality of finish again. Great job, my respects.
Judging by the dimensionality, the blind joint with the single tenon is meant for a compressive load, not a sheer. Probably intended to be used on the corner of a structure to hold some kind of roofing member in place, but when you also want to hide the mitered joint. And twisting or lateral motion would sheer that tenon clean off. It's always interesting to look at the engineering of the joint and try to guess the applications it would be useful for.
Your work is improving quite a bit, it’s always been impressive, I’m having a difficult time finding anything wrong with the craftsmanship this last couple of videos. It far exceeds my abilities, so I can only critique from the sidelines.
missed seeing your work. This looks like the hardest joint you've done and it's awesome. The soundtrack is also an unexpected delight. Also noticing those blood blisters and bandages. Hand tools are hard on the hands.
Great to see another video appear from you, just amazing joinery. Would love to utilise this in something one day. It's actually quite complicated even planning such a joint though.
Saw this from Andrew Hunter a few months ago. It looked super confusing then. After seeing it cut, I can honestly say, I feel more confused than I did before 😂 awesome work!
@@RickyHarline Still nowhere near as quick as a screw. All those methods you mentioned would take a long time. It's not a surgeon where you put a piece of wood into a CNC router, and it cuts it out. It would take many setups, many cutters, and a long time.
Excellent work (as usual). What's the name of the saw used at 13:02 ? It's not the ryoba you were using earlier on in the build and it looks like it has a nice wide blade.
Coole Verbindung!!!
The Master Craftsman demonstrated unprecedented standard in design, workmanship, and accuracy. Thanks

That final fitup is the most satisfying moment I've had in years.
Yea, every effort just for that moment
Thank you! That's a great compliment :)
I totally agree

So do I
Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that. I have the same reflex when Clickspring uploads a video :)
the accuracy and smoothness of the joint is just a beautiful thing. it gives me joy. everything just fits. youre a talented dude!!!!
Thanks!
I’m now addicted to your channel and videos! Thank you very much for sharing your incredible craftsmanship
There's really no way to understand how impressive the fit of that joint is without actually trying it yourself... Very nice
A project is never complete until it gets your blood on it. Thanks for the vids, they are inspiring
Hahaha, true!
Thank you!
That glossy look the work gets after being planed never gets old
A level of skill and patience I can only dream of. Thank you for the video
Thank you for watching!
Holy crap, it's so good that it hurts my feelings. It's just astounding work.
Hahaha, thank you :)

Thanks Tony, just trying to minimize inconsistencies :)

Wood: How can you make a more complex joint, going to the edge?
DB: Yes!
Greetings from Germany 🧡🧡🧡
I can only say WOWW, especially that final fitup!!

Thank you!
Yes, it was rather intricate.
The hands just look like that because i'm not paying attention 😂
Mind blowing ! Thanx for making it look effortless.
Amazing woodworking!!! Congratulations, Man.

Wowed my friend. Beautiful work
Well, that's one joint that I'll never attempt to build and would completely screw it up if I tried.
That’s a work of art
Thank you!

Amazing joint. Thanks for showing us.

Maintaining sharp blades is an implied message here.
An absolute necessity!

Thank you! Yes, laying it out is a bit of a headscratcher.
How genius from design concept perspective , amazing
Could you please make a video on how you sharpen your chisels. My never get that scharp.
Sure!
Amazing craftwork
Thank you
so good to see you back :)
Good to be back!
Oh, you are alive
Yes, very much so!
That's awesome! I struggle with 1/2 lap joints 😄
Thanks!
My dude, amazing as usual! And some router plane action!

Thank you! Maybe in the future.
Wauw, wat een vakman! 👍🏻🍀 Dit is kunst!!!

Thank you for waiting!
best joinery ever!

Spasibo!
những mảnh ghép thật tuyệt vời. I like it.
this would save me a ton of money on nails and screws
Yes, it would but how many hours would you spend instead!
@@jimmytwizzle7836 CNC, copy carver, pantarouter, traditional tool jigs, lots of options to make this joint quickly

Screws won't last long. Maybe 10 years tops. This one will last 100's of years if taken care of properly.
Such a difficult joint to make a so nearly perfect! Great job!
Great ! Best things I ever seen...
Thank you!
Just surreal!!
Master at work.
🙈
Wow, just wow!
Awesome work!! Who in the right mind could dislike this?!
wow, that was amazing.
Wow, that is some next-level shit right there. Looks like you used a CNC mill to do it. Thanks for a great vid.
Thanks!
Que é isso. Não sabe brincar não desce pro play. Fantastico !!!
Excellent work (as usual). What's the name of the saw used at 13:02 ? It's not the ryoba you were using earlier on in the build and it looks like it has a nice wide blade.
Never mind, I can see it's a Z Saw Kataba Universal Crosscut from the markings.
Cross blade not universal crosscut (doesn't have the leading III before the 8)!
I appreciate the fuck out of every single second of these.
That is awesome, thanks!
Those chisels you have are sick, are those custom?
Thank you! No, you can buy them from Dictum online. I have an affiliate link in the description if you are thinking about buying a set.
Exelente video muy instructivo
😱😱😱MASTER!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Coole Verbindung!!!
Can you do the Japanese 3-way Miter?
That is just awesome.
Thank you ;)
holy crap, that is amazing!!!

Meisterarbeit 👍
