The exhaust on that Abarth sounds awesome!!! Makes me want to test one for fun. Lol
And I see he's gonna break the red vehicle tradition. 😋
Thank Nigel for the birthday wishes!!!!
Lol, hope it was a bit of a surprise Ryan!! Happy birthday my friend!
At 24:25.. right after you mention the lady bug on your tree.. you look at the camera, and it looks like there is another lady bug on the corner of your glasses, nearest to the tree 👀😂 haha.
Always love your videos. I've learned alot from you! Thanks!
oh true there is one!
The pruning on the Fir looks way better, thanks
Wow, That Douglas Fir is already a looker. Nice trunk, great branches. Very nice! I see a few of those little cars here once in a while! Julian look so huge in there! Glad he is able to get a vehicle he really likes! You're a good Dad, Nigel! Great way to spend time together as well!
Thank You, Nigel! And Thank You, Mary and Jerome! 💚
Wow, what a great first car for Julian!
I'm so jealous!! I think he'll love it!!
Congratulations to Julian on the abarth. Is a fun car! I have worked and driven a few of them i Norway. Really did like it. Feels special when you drive it. Yes I remember I sent you some money a very long time ago for the 50 dollar challenge. Wanted to give a tree. And that was the solutions. Thank you again nigel! So nice to have you in my life!
Thanks!
Finally after few days.. Very relaxing see your videos sir
Nice work pruning this DF. Should have some nice growth come spring. Cool ladybug. Eating any bugs it catches for you.
Mari & Jerome have a nice way with words!
Lol my Lady got me a repotting mat for Xmas as well!
Great pruning job! 👍🐦💙
Thanks Jay!!
Good video...I have a couple yamadori doug firs that I can apply your instructions to...Thanks for sharing...
Oh wow what a beautifully written note.
Thanks
Crunch, crunch, crunch....64 days until spring Nigel. Nice trim to the young fir. Nice update, and weather about to warm up. 😀
That abarth reminds me of the one I had . Upgraded the turbo, waste gate , intercooler and hoses . Loved that little beast
Thank you so much for being so consistent with your videos Nigel! Your'e a gift to the community. I just started in 2020. Would it be possible in these videos in the winter time to talk about how often you water these trees or maybe what you do just prior and after you work on these trees in the winter? Thank you again so much for sharing your expertise!
Nigel, you're lucky with this beautiful gift...thans for your jobs and videos...
Hey Nigel. I'm watching from Chattanooga Tn. I always enjoy your videos.
Great gift!!!
Nice presents. Those should come in handy!
The Douglas Fir looks great. Spring can't come soon enough.
Cool choice of car as well! Sounds good, too!
I use those little baskets
Glad Julian has found his dream car. An Arbarth has a good name but here in the UK, close to the English Channel & the salty atmosphere, FIAT stands for 'Fix It Again Tomorrow'. There are very few Fiats in Bognor! I love your channel as you show your trees right from the start and how you make them progress into, hopefully, magnificent bonsai. I owe an awful lot to yourself Nigel. Many thanks.
Looking forward to getting it!
👍👌👌
The Abarth is beautiful ! And your trees are amazing !
i started Douglas Fir from seeds last year. and got 2 small trees. each one is about 10 cm long, and i hope they will grow bigger this year!
thank you for your videos!
Cold here also. Make sure your pipes are wrapped to keep them from being frozen or the electric tape to keep them warm. Glad your trees are doing good with the cold. At least they are dormant.
Hello! 🎉
Great progress on the Doug Fir. Looking forward to the re-pot.
Glad you both found the car that was in good shape.
Nice trim! Looking forward to seeing this grow in the spring! The new car looks sharp as well, I’m glad you guys were able to nail down the one that hit all the marks! Enjoy!
Thanks 👍
A 500 Abarth, sheesh. I had to make do with a 127 mk3 "Comfort" with a piddly 900cc engine in it.
I don't know what you just said, but my first car was a '75 Dodge Dart. It wouldn't start in wet weather without squirting ether into the carburetor.
Hi Nigel. I’m new to the art of Bonsai. I live in Michigan, and it seems like you are focused on winter pruning in our climate…do you do most of your pruning in the winter and root pruning in the spring? Just trying to get a rough sense of the process.
한국에서 잘 보고 있어요😊
시청해 주셔서 정말 감사합니다. 빨리 냄비에 불을 붙이고 유약을 바르고 싶습니다!!!
Hi Nigel, I'm a very new student of Bonsai, and managed tto get a free Thuja Christmas tree this year that I want to make into a Bonsai, but I have a question about conifers in general--how young can you dig up a conifer in the wild? I want to make miniature trees.
We have many white pines, thujas, cedars, and spruces I can collect in my area.
What happened to Ficus Friday? Somehow I missed it.
