I just love these cats they are so impressive to take down animals 3 times their size ,pound per pound one of the most fierce animals in the world
I've always read that the reason cougars aren't classified as one of the "big cats" is that they can't roar. Honestly that "roar" in no way matched what I've heard lions and tigers doing in zoos. It sounded more like a deep-pitched purr.
Yes, apparently the Cougar/Mountain Lion/Puma of North America doesn't even have the vocal chords to roar. Which is why I thought this was so unusual.
