I only discovered LarkinPoe recently, and am utterly blown away. I love the reference to classical music. I love that Neil Young's lyrics made their dad cry. Comes A Time, with Nicolette Larson, is one of my favorite records of all time. These two are incandescent. Rebecca's vocals are a big booming bang to the back benches of the auditorium. Megan's slide makes the knees weak. The show at Le Trianon was punk powerful. I cannot wait to see LarkinPoe live. Oh, and they're both drop-dead gorgeous.

I just stumbled across these ladies on You Tube, like I have often done on other lesser known artists, and they blew me away. I am fascinated with their story, as with their talent. Amazingly talented young ladies who I feel are very under rated at this time. I am a new fan, for sure.

I was only turned on to Larkin Poe a few days ago by a Facebook post from a relative new "friend". It featured them, playing Phil Collin's, In the Air Tonight. It totally blew me away. Goggled Larkin Poe and found all kinds places to find their music. This is the best "new" musical find in such a long time - the last great one for me was Eva Cassidy...yeah, right...that was some time ago. Gutsy, earthy, down right talented, and a great mix - guitar and slide and the south....those southern roots cannot be shaken from these girls. And Megan is right...her slide is like her voice.

A minor point I know but the Doobie Bros came from San Francisco and Creedence came from around New Orleans. Minor distinctions but I get what you mean. When I listen to Larkin Poe I hear Heart blending with Little Feat or Atlanta Rythm Section. One way or another YEAH!
