I understand that you have explained the bottom bars of slab has to be lapped within L/3 or L/4 and must not go any further towards the centre. But I have a question that remaining within that L/4 can we make lapping through the beam reinforcement? I'm not a civil engineer so the doubt, and in my sense I feel if that is done the bottom bars at the lap will also be able to rest and get support from the beam. Please answer.

For the slab in the bottom portion you can lap bar near support , avoid lapping at the center of the slab for the bottom bar . Within l / 3 you can lap in the bottom bar
