Monument Jang-i-Malandrai 1586 near Sar Malang
A Great War fought between Mughal Empire and Yousafzai tribe at Malandrai in 1586. In which Mughal Empire been defeated by the brave tribesmen. In this war great Generals of Mughal Empire lost their lives including Raja Berbal which was very near and dear to Jalaluddin Akbar. This war was led by Kalu Khan Baba from Yousafzai Pukhtun side. Last year a Monument built at the top of Berbal pass near Sar Malang which is the border point of two districts Mardan and Buner. Prof. Dr. Farhad Ali Khawar did great efforts for this and with the help of other pukhtun lovers built a beautiful monument where war were fought in 1586. All credit goes to Dr Farhad Ali Khawar. A lot of people visit this monument every day and become a tourist spot.
