    LOVE my Owyhee! Got it this past summer on the pre-sale and have been very happy.

    The SilPoly was such a good move, SilNylon is great until it rains, but the sagging is a fatal flaw of the SilNylon tents. This is a really good looking shelter design!

    After you have had time to use your argali’s would you prefer them over an ultralight normal style tent ( big Agnes/nemo ) ? & would you rather have the Rincon for roominess ? Just found your channel, love your videos & normal person mentality. Thanks for taking the time for doing such great reviews & hunting info. Great work !!! 🤙🏼

      Man, thanks for that Ben! I really do prefer the Argali over the others. The weight to space ratio across the board is incredible. And if I had to run one tent the rest of my life it would be the Rincon. Lightweight backcountry palace for one person and can fit two when needed.

    Would you recommend running a tarp or tyvek sheet under the liner for use in AZ?

      Absolutely. I haven't punctured the floor, but AZ is brutal. If nothing else it would just be good for extra protection for your sleeping pad.

    Do you prefer this over the rincon ? Im debating hard between the two options . I like the thought of having a stove jack or possibly having a hunting partner in my ahelter . But if im running the stove in october /november which is rare as im solely a bowhunter . Id only have 1p capability anyway . Just curious your thoughts . Im a pretty minimalist hunter and ill probably end up finding a spot for both tents at some point in my arsenal especially for camping trips in the summer with the fiance . But for solely hunting . Im torn between the owyhee or the rincon.
    Also have you found it difficult to find places to pitch the rincon in the high country for mulies vs with the owyhee you would have had no problem ?
    Sorry for the long comment love the video keep up the content .

      If I had to pick one to use forever, it would be the Rincon. It does have a bit more versatility with the ability to use a stove. I haven't had any issues with finding a spot to pitch the Rincon in the places I personally hunt. I could understand where it might become one though. I love both of the shelters and they each have a place in my system.

    Great content!
    I’ve been trying to choose between the Owyhee and Rincon. How much of a weight and packed size difference is there between the 2 tents?
    Any experience with the new Rincon 1p insert?

      Thanks! The Owyhee is for sure smaller packed down, especially if you run it floorless. With the insert I'd say it's about half the size as the Rincon. If memory serves me correct, you are 2 pounds and change for the Rincon with insert. I haven't used the half insert for the Rincon yet. I LOVE the Rincon too.

    Is there any reason you couldn't leave the tent and insert attached to each other if you put them in a larger single
    bag?

    • @DialedinHunter
      @DialedinHunter  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can absolutely do that. You'll have to loosen the line-loc adjusters though still each time you pitch the tent in order to get the right pitch.

      @242brick I did that this past hunting season no problem.
