- A bone cyst is a harmless lesion inside the bone. It mainly occurs in skeletons of young children,
potentially harming growth. Traditional treatment requires a large incision to access the cyst, causing
long recovery times and complications. We propose a robotic system to treat bone cysts requiring only
two small incisions. It includes a drilling robot, an endoscopic robot, and two controllers. The entire
lesion can be reached using the flexible drill of the robot, while the endoscope provides visual
feedback. The controller enables surgeons intuitive control of the robots. Additionally, the system
meets clinical requirements for sterilisability, biocompatibility, and electrical stability.
