Promise, Texas is no place to raise a family. There's no rain, businesses are failing, and the kids can't wait to grow up and move away. Some folks say the town is cursed. But just when things are at their darkest, a mysterious boy wanders out of the wilderness with nothing but the clothes on his back and a strange mat tucked under his arm. He has a message for the people of Promise, but they're slow to listen. They are blind to the similarities between the slow death of the town and their own parched souls. Confronted by their spiritual shortcomings, the town's indignation turns to outrage. Still, the boy holds true to his message: there is no hope without Christ, and Promise can only be remade through earnest communion with the Father. In the end, with his back against the wall - surrounded by skeptics - the boy is forced to reveal his true identity.

I AM GABRIEL is a great story. He comes to promise to restore a community that seemed without hope, he tells the community that it isn't him that gives hope, but God himself. He tells them to pray to God, that he wants to hear from them. He tells them that God can help them. 😊
I just came to watch this movie after finding out that Gavin who plays Jeremiah fisher from the summer I turned pretty is actually in this movie
I remember that fateful day in 2017 when i walked into doctors room he said to me Mercy am sorry u will never be able to have children of ur own, you have two blocked fallopian tubes, no eggs ie premature menopause, and hormonal imbalance. In 2019 i got my baby boy without any medication but Gods miracle. He is turning 4 years this month. That a miracle i will never forget n will alway thank God for forever.

The sheriff in the movie made himself look like a fool... when good things happen don't question it...The people goes to church all the time & they didn't know that Gabriel was an angel of God... People that don't go to church knows that much...God is the only one that can perform miracles... Now the sheriff want to bow down after he was mean to this boy...The couple that picked the boy up on the highway was truly blessed to have an angel living in their house... Great Blessing...This town has lossed all hope...God send his angel to fix this town....We all r just here temporary... When ur time comes,,,u r going home...Time to go home means ,,,God is taking u home..God control ur life not u... God gives u a chance to choose him or Satan... It's ur choice...good goes to God & Bad goes to Satan(the devil...). u can't serve both.. one or the other... it's Ur choice...
When I was 19, I suffered self hate, I thought I was ugly, unloved, worthless empty shell. Why am I here? Who would ever want me? So I went into my Mom's bedroom, opened her dresser drawer and took out her sleeping pills. I poured them into my hand then looked at the wretched. pathetic image in the mirror. I stared and then something happened to me. I saw a light behind my head in the mirror. The light slowly worked it's way down my body calming me, soothing me, warming me. Then a voice whispered in my ear "You are worthy." I stood there for a long time. I put the pills back. Today I am 73 and I can say that was the most profound moment of my life. An angel saved me that day. And in this movie when Gabe says, "You are worthy" I thanked God and cried.
I have encountered many of Gods angels thru my life, and yes they gave a message to make me Stop and look at HIM.😊
God has away of turning the ugly into goodness you are blessed and highly favored.

After the Doctor told me that my Mom wasn't going to survive the night, I sat in the waiting room of the hospital and prayed. An old woman wrapped her arms around me and prayed with me. I felt her love flow through me and I was calmed. As we were praying my best friend came in and called my name. I opened my eyes and the old woman was gone. Across from me, a little girl stared at me with awe on her face. I heard her tell her Mommy that she just saw an Angel. I believe and nobody will ever convince me that God doesn't send us Angels when we need them. The Doctors by the way are amazed that Mom pulled through and is still with us!
Update: 5 - 16 - 23 My precious Mom went home to our Lord tonight. I want to thank those of you who have commented on the original post. Mom loved to read your comments. She went home peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones. Praise be to God.

You also need to read the Book of Acts. Angels played a prominent role, working with the saints of God.
I don't know which denomination or cult doctrine you're bound by, but you are 💯 missing the mark on this topic. Shoot, angels will be PREACHING THE GOSPEL to the ends of the earth in the Tribulation. Study up.
Here's another truth for you, from Hebrews 13:2, speaking to born again believers:
"Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."

@@WBNX If you believe angels are still bringing "Devine truth" to mankind AFTER the Bible has been completed ( and it has been completed), then you believe Gods word is still being written till this day. That would be adding to Gods word, which would violate the warning that if we add to his word, then he will add to us the plagues written in the book.( Revelation 22:18-19)That is a dire warning to us not to add anything to his word.
If you choose to risk salvation by adding to Gods word, then that is on you. As for me I believe in the written word and the written word only, and take that warning very seriously.

I was 5 years old and was in the hospital with an intestinal blockage.A nun came in my room to pray with me right before the surgery. She placed a catholic pendant in my hand and prayed.After prayer they came to do an X-ray so the surgeon would know where to cut…the blockage was GONE! God had healed me! I had “the faith of a child”…don’t ever lose faith in HIM. So many more miracles I have seen.Praise our Heavenly Father and our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ ❣️

We as Christian must not compromise with the Words of our FATHER in heaven. Yes God has His angels and they are used to help Him to help us. They can do whatever God commands them. But they are not the Savior, the Son of God. There is only One Way to God. There is Only One we can come to in order for us to be reconnected to God and to be in harmony, in peace with God so He can reveal to us His individual plans to all those who believe in and call on the name of His Son. That name is Jesus Christ the Nazarene, there is no other name given to mankind that will save us, heal us, take care of us. Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Amen...I truly believed we Always need Talked to Almighty Father, I know he Listen...🙏 I would like to share my personal expirience in 2021 September, when my sister got tested positive in Covid 19,...When I was assigned to look for her in hospital, everytime I, Talked and Prayed to Lord Jesus Christ and Our Almighty Father, I was crying and crying, becouse I know my sister tested positive in covid virus... 3 times a day, I prayed and prayed and I really want to talked and ask Help To Lord Our God...🙏 after 18days she survived and healthy again..Thanks Be To Our God,..🙏 I know Lord Jesus is Truly live and Almighty Father God, they answer all my Request and Prayers when I was Praying in the Hospital in September 2021...until now I can't forgot that year...I, always Prayed and Talked to Lord our God Almighty Father in Heaven...🙏 Thanks Be To Our Lord God...🙏

I've watched this movie several times over the past few years and it always inspires me and reminds me of how vast God's love for us all is and how He longs for us to come to Him and give ourselves to Him. This is a special movie. Very special. I'm so grateful it's here to see whenever I want to watch it. It gives me peace when my day has been especially difficult to navigate and I feel like I've totally missed God. I failed miserably today. I let someone cause me to become angry when all I want is to share the love and light of Jesus. As I go to The Throne of Grace again and again I'm always welcomed by my loving Father. I'm reminded of the incredible compassion Jesus has for us all. I'm reminded of His faithfulness even when I'm not faithful. He always is ready to forgive me when I ask Him to. But upon looking deeper God never leaves me even in my worst situation. I’m 64 and I teared up through out the movie and fought back the tears . I did love the movie. It does give you the sense of hope and prayer.
My mom had been in the hospital for a while. She had cancer. My dad got a phone call at 10pm to come to the hospital. I sat up to wait for him. The room got very bright. I heard a voice behind me. When I turned around Jesus was standing there smiling. He told me he had come to take mom home with him and that she was okay. My dad walked in about half an hour later and told me that she had died. I told him I knew, and that she was with Jesus.
So beautiful. Jesus is with us. He does send Angels to be with us.
