    This girl is a remarkable performer for her age. I wonder how much time and effort went into the preparation for this performance.

    That’s lovely. I had the great good fortune of seeing both Sydney Lucas (the first young Alison) and her successor Gabriella Pizzolo on Broadway. Each girl had a slightly different take on this song, and they were both excellent. The young lady in this video does a great job putting forth her own interpretation. I wouldn’t want to try to rank any of these talented girls; they each brought something special to the role, but perhaps this one has the strongest voice. Extra kudos for really committing to the American accent.

    She was absolutely amazing in the production of this. Can't wait to see where she ends up in the future as she is an extremely talented performer already.

    I saw this At the Young Vic, and if memory serves the man introducing Harriet played her father, and he was utterly remarkable. They all were. Extraordinary piece of theatre.

      When the show was still brand new they were asked to perform Welcome to the Fun Home on tv but the shows producers thought it was an inaccurate representation of what the show is actually about. Hence why Ring Of Keys being performed at awards shows instead. ☺️

    She is good, but I prefer Sydney Lucas in the role of Allison. This performance feels too pushed. As an American, I can also hear her trying to get the American accent and it just doesn't quite work for me. But she is a lovely singer.

  • @tinkerhell-kj3mv
    @tinkerhell-kj3mv หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Making them put on the American accent is a bit silly. Isn't it better if they can speak/sing naturally? I get that for some shows the accent makes sense, if the setting is a specific and integral part of the story (In the Heights for example), but a show like this, where Beech Creek PA could really be anywhere, I don't get the reasoning. That said, this little girl is remarkable (and she's doing a perfectly fine job with the accent; she just looks like the hard rs are causing her physical pain). I wish I could've seen this production, if everyone was this good. And I hope she's gone on to even greater things in her career, if it's something she's continued to pursue. I'm surprised she was never a Matilda; she has a ton of personality and passion as well as talent, and I assume every little girl trying to break into musical theatre has auditioned for that show! Too tall, maybe.
