Considering that the most popular AirPods model are the pros this seems like a move to destream the two products lines into one I think that the lack of AirPod pro 3s confirms this
apple refreshed airpods lineup every three year, so pro 3 will be coming next year. but yes i wished they merge the lineup(but thats unlikely soon)
Yeah my dumbass went to Best Buy to buy new pods given that I have 1st Gen pros. I ended up buying the 2nd Gen of those.

Me I’m the opposite if I use earphones with silicone tips I’ll get ear infections so I’m happy that we have 2 options to choose from
I’ve tried the wired headphones and they keep falling out of my ear. If I were to get a pair they would be the pro 2.
I have used the original AirPods and other earbuds with silicone tips, and found that I prefer an open design earbuds. Firstly, I have some small ears and I have no issue with open earbuds coming off. Secondly, cleaning and maintaining hygiene in open earbuds is way more easy than earbuds with silicons. It all comes down to comfortability and overall fit in your ear at the end of the day.
Exactly. My ears always get sore when I use regular airpods so I had to upgrade to the pros

Not really, airpods have better noise cancellation, transparency and adaptive mode aswell as a better seal in your ear so others can’t hear what your listening to like in the airpods 4

Best purschase i have ever made. I am on year 4 with my airpods Pro first gen. Got me through my studies and i work out with them 5x a week. Still good as new. I would happily pay 500 euro for them if i had to

Except the ANC on normal airpods is much worse compared to pro 2. The seal plays a HUGE roll in ANC and normal airpods dont seal
I agree, ANC without a seal is just useless. It’s just gonna drain the battery faster but people don’t understand that.🤦
@@athsaranenath4584I feel people are severely underestimating the potential of the ANC because of the “seal.” The way ANC works is by taking the sound waves coming through the microphone and then reversing the wave and playing through the speaker. This directly affects your ear and cancels out a majority of sound. The seal only helps block out extra sound, sound still bleeds through quite a lot with the AirPod 2s while noise cancelation is off, when it is on, it becomes practically silent, this will be roughly the same just less effective. While the noise cancelation will not be as good without the seal, it still we be tolerable for most common day scenarios, added with the more comfortable experience of the shape, and the AirPods are pretty solid. I guess you didn’t understand that that’s what happens.
Also the AirPods 4 won’t support the Hearing aid feature like the Pros 2. For these two reasons the pros are still a much better option

I have the AirPods 4 and while the ANC helps slightly, it is not even close to as good as the pros. I just need open earphones because closed ones like pros give me ear infections and headaches
The AirPods 4 basically has 90% of what the AirPods Pro 2’s have. There are still some differences that give the Pro’s the edge like the new hearing aid feature (more streamlined I believe from what it was before with it now being medically certified based on what Apple have said), ANC would be better since it seals off your ear canals with its rubber ear tips, a little better battery life when on a single charge while using ANC or any of the other listening modes, having swipe controls to adjust volume on the fly, having a skin-detect sensor as compared to the regular Optical in-ear sensor, and a few other things. Overall I find the new 179$ AirPods 4 to be the better deal for what you get and the certain edges the Pro’s have I find to not be something that would be a dealbreaker or necessity over the AirPods 4 179$

I love mine, I upgraded from the AirPod 2. I did get the Noise Cancellation model, and I’m completely blown away with how this technology works… I’ve never experienced Noice Cancellation before, it’s so effective!
Well, the reason is comfort, basic AirPods will end up hurting to wear after like 2 hours, on the pros you can have them on for a LONG time before it’s gonna hurt

The noise cancellation and features won’t be as good without the silicone ear tips so no, they aren’t the same. And apple knows this.

this is FALSE. most people say in terms of sound and noise cancellation quality the airpods 4 don’t even come close to the airpods pro 2. and it makes so much sense considering they don’t have the silicone tip

The only crucial thing that separates airpods 4 and airpods pro 2 is Fit and preferences. Kudos to apple for considering these. It doesn’t matter if the gadget is super nice cuz if it don’t fit then why even buy it.

AirPods 4 does not have a great capacity from what I will assume for sure. Because of it being a thinner design the battery will be smaller and less efficient.

This is a wrong comparison…there is a reason there are 2 separate products because these two are separate categories - Air Pods pro belong to the “in-ear” category and Air Pods are “wireless earphones” the technology is vastly different in the two and to be able to achieve ANC without having the ear buds is a HUGE accomplishment, lot of people don’t like having their earphones sit so deep inside their ears as the Air pods pro do hence the Air Pods 4

bro could not be more wrong, this is what i call engagement farming, liying, airpods pro 2 has 10 more features than the 4s, they have same chips so 4 isnt better at all, there is nothign the 4s are better at than the pro 2s, like quite literally, pro has pro features, silicone tips which doesnt fall out and has 2x better anc, has hearing aid, has longer battery life, u1 chip in the case for finding, touch control on the airpods, and better quality, all that for only 50 dollars extra i what i call good, airpods 4s are trash.

For those who want is with more information: Even though the AirPods 4 sound like a nice deal and a pro alternative, it’s not right saying that the pros are useless to buy, take the AirPodsPro2 for example since they have this little warhead they completely your ear for more noise cancellation, that’s a bother point the noice cancellation is better on the pros up to 2x better and the battery last you an entire 2h more also the bass is still better, and if u want features like advanced tracking via find my you’ll have to go with the pros

The AirPods Pro are gonna get better features tho. This is just to catch the standard models up. Typically, the standards are for people who just want something to play music. The pro’s are for people who want fancier features. Now since ANC is a standard in non pro earbuds people want AirPods with ANC that aren’t the pro’s. The pro’s will get some fancy dancy feature soon.
