I love to see how quickly last years equipment is thrown under the bus, driven over and backed up for another run. Makes you want to spend a $1000 on a fitting and new driver and shoot the same scores when we should be practicing the short game and putting.
Love the video guys. I was fitted with the Qì10 today. Liked the look of this driver, clean and elegant. Not too big and a lot like the Titeist TSR 3 looking down at the clubhead. The Max was way too big for me and the LS was not as forgiving. My swing speed was Avg 100 mph and I picked up 20 yards (250 to 270 total) over the course of the fitting. What was most impressive was the launch was higher but the spin was down . Tensei blue S shaft 65g. Best fitting I've ever had in terms of distance and more importantly accuracy. My low left hook was eliminated. Thanks again 😉
Exactly. We should have been able to see him hit his current driver to gauge whether or not the new model is a real improvement but I’d wager the difference would be negligible.
As always a great video from you guys…this one especially resonates as I have the same issues. Linking the technical conversations you guys are having to the ball flight/results is exactly what I needed. Now off to the range! 👍👍
I can’t believe that they are that much better or improved than the stealth 2 ? Don’t get me wrong. I’m like every other golf guy. Love new stuff especially a new taylormade driver.
Its funny though. Did the free fitting today at golf galaxy. My sim2 vs the QI. Fitter told me to go home, I wasnt getting anything out of the QI. Now.... It wasnt the LS head, think it was just the middle of the road one? No the max. I will say though off the face it felt great. Is it the super special boy for forgiveness? lol no. It was ok. Is it worth a new chunk of 600 vs my current? Nope. Think you can do better? Will say though... that Ventus TR shaft? Damn I did like that Lets face it... we are seeing the quest for "inertia" from every manufacturer, because they just flat out cant market we are X yards longer this year. Thats shits capped. i know it, you know it, everyone's lawyers knows it. So this is just the new marketing wank. Costs for clubs have gone up, and yet... somehow the % return on the investment has not. Something is going to break sooner or later.
I've always liked low spin Taylormade drivers but this one will definitely be out of the question for me. The big thing with Taylormade this year will be the Max which also means lots of spin and loss of distance and with the roll back on the golf ball there's no way I'd be willing to give up half a yard on distance. Somewhat disappointed to see.
Unless the launch is over 14 or ball speed is over 175ish, I don’t see how a player can be in the LS. It’s for a very small portion of players this year.
Doesn't seem like the LS version is the right fit for Piers... Not a great look when he's spraying the ball and hasn't tour swing speed, so why try so hard to promote the LS?? The standard version maybe is the better choice as mentioned by others.
Disappointing video here guys, you were just trying waay to hard to talk all the marketing hype, yet ignored all the ball flight, and spin (lack of) issues pierce was experiencing. If your going to show a fitting video, At least let it be accurate to the swing being presented. Pierce should 100% of been in the standard head, 10.5 lofted down. That would of helped with adding some spin whilst leaving the blade open with a flatter lie angle to bring the ball back on line. Even trottie ran out of ideas with that LS model. Fit what's right, not what's 'cool'.
Hi Ryan. Thanks for the comment. We didn't talk about the marketing. Trottie was just explaining the tech and doing his thing. We wanted to showcase a true fitting and this wouldn't have been very different if there were no cameras.
Getting fit for proper equipment can definitely help your game, but the typical amateur is not going to see much difference by buying new clubs every year if they don't fix the issues in their swing in the first place. It all starts with good fundamentals and playing equipment that is right for YOU, not your favorite tour player.
Do not buy any clubs if youre set is less than 3 years old. Spend that money on lessons. Dont let shills like this fool you. You wont see significant improvement if you spend $600 every year.
Don't fall for these marketing videos. Just go and fit yourself by testing several brands and clubs and create your own picture. Every year the same empty words like most forgiving, better distance, lower spin rates and so on. In the reality nothing really improved due to physical borders. For example the Qi10 isnt any better than Stealth 2 for example but somehow people go and spend 600 bucks for the newest stuff and wondering why they dont improve their game. Meanwhile its an industry playing with people psychology. If you have a great swing you can even play with a woodstock to get good results. Dont believe the Qi10 solves all your swing faults. I am still happy with my TM 2017 M1 Driver, firing it 270 yards down the fairway. It is like buying a new TV although the old one is still working.
I don’t think TM has made a decent driver since the original SIM, ironically that’s when KPS purchased TM from Adidas, they kept it for 4 years and sold it on to a Korean investment firm Centroid for $1.7BN a massive profit. Common denominator between KPS and Centroid is they are profit incentivised and short term profit at that. So the annual release policy suits the short termism and asset stripping works by reducing quality R&D. Net result, you get the truly dreadful Stealth, Qi10 yet to be assessed, albeit that the LS version is Stealth in wolfs clothing. TM are now so bad that their playing staff struggle to use the equipment, if Rory can’t use the equipment with any consistency, what chance do we have

Doesn’t look like this was a huge improvement over last years driver. Which is also good to see
In my opinion the feel, shape, and color is a big improvement from last year.
Always good seeing the new products however hard to trust vs the last model when everyone involved is paid by TM.
Exactly. We should have been able to see him hit his current driver to gauge whether or not the new model is a real improvement but I’d wager the difference would be negligible.
consensus seems that the LS is a true low spin beast this year, excited for the core model personally
Yeh I'm excited to see how it performs on course.
Love his comment at 0.55. You have to learn to lose one side of the fairway. That makes so much sense if you want to be a good player.
Such a key part of fitting and the game.
As always a great video from you guys…this one especially resonates as I have the same issues. Linking the technical conversations you guys are having to the ball flight/results is exactly what I needed. Now off to the range! 👍👍
Well done guys I'm a taylormade nut but not sure on the blue mmm but if it performs then that's what counts 😊
ooh.. liking the new TM staff bag with Qi10 livery 👍🏼
Friggin love the sound of it.

Taylormade's marketing team sure are doing the company proud
It looks better than the Stealth drivers :) love the equipment video with Trottie
Glad you enjoyed this.
QI Core model looks great, but this seems like an odd fit here. The guy clearly needs a different QI model or a shaft change, or both.
Its funny though. Did the free fitting today at golf galaxy. My sim2 vs the QI. Fitter told me to go home, I wasnt getting anything out of the QI. Now.... It wasnt the LS head, think it was just the middle of the road one? No the max.

If every shot was "toey" maybe stand closer to the ball? But I know nothing about anything.
The Marketing driver..
This guy sounds like a used car salesman selling 1988 Buicks
5:16 Trottie is debating if peirs shops at the same places his wife does looking at those Capri pants,,
He's thinking they might be his wife's trousers
Trottie is the best
did Trottie mis-spell Neutral (at 4:47) or is that a British thing? :)
Did he nick a hobos' clothes for the fitting ? 😂
Unless the launch is over 14 or ball speed is over 175ish, I don’t see how a player can be in the LS. It’s for a very small portion of players this year.
Rory isn’t even using it
To be honesty, i don't understand most of what Trottie is saying. he talks very fast and use word i don't understand.
Full swing not trackman anymore for TM?
yes we have been using the Full Swing for a few weeks now and really like it. It's great for our students.
@@meandmygolf. Is this a m&mg thing or a larger TM relationship?
It’s tigers company , so Tm will have to use it
How come not 10.5 head and cranked open???
Would spin a little too much on my off centre strikes.
Sure followed by the Qi10 ,1/2 in 3 months 😂
Load of old bollocks, just a 600 quid paint job like every year
Poor Trottie. I’m halfway through and every one of Piers’s shots has failed to go to plan.
Doesn't seem like the LS version is the right fit for Piers... Not a great look when he's spraying the ball and hasn't tour swing speed, so why try so hard to promote the LS?? The standard version maybe is the better choice as mentioned by others.
I think you could do with a lesson from that Proudman fella 😀
Hi Piers, do they make those yoga pants for men, too?
😂😂
Interesting but very taylormade.

Promo video
Not a fan of the chavy trousers guys.
His shoulder alignment looks way off!
Ollie what is up with the color balance?? Looks so damn goofy god damn just pull out the iPhone we don’t need the extra shit.
these fittings are nothing more than marketing BS. watch any independent review and youll see the difference

Scheffler is having a real bad time with the equipment 😂
Too much banter - get to adjusting
Didn't enjoy this video lads.
He out grew his pants. Terrible pants. Can’t watch it because of the girls pants
