    We have a nimbochromis polystigma and he changes colors/patterns. Sometimes, with the large spots and other times a beautiful blue green color.

    Great video, I have a venustus, a livinstoni and fusco, all of them are 2 inches each. Looking forward to see them grow.

    Great Video. I kept a breeding group: 1 male and 5 females of venustus along with a breeding group of Melanochromis Chipokae: 1 male and 5 females. These 2 species did great together in a 125 gallon for years. Even though venustus got bigger the Chipokae were tough enough and fast enough to do very well!

    I'm learning so much from your videos!! I've been trying to find more information on Redbreasted Acara but I haven't been able to find much information about them. I just think they're neat.

    If we don't consider the water parameters, Can i add the Venustus to my South American tank having green terror, Severums..?

    Alex what is the most aggressive hap and which haps are compatible in 150 gal tank

    • @CichlidBros
      @CichlidBros  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They’re all pretty much around the same aggression level. Maybe the eye biter or some of these Nimbochromis. Most would do well in a 150g

    Hi I have a question on African cichlids like Mbunas, Haps and the Peacocks. I tried to keep African cichlids before but kept on dying on me which is why they died on me. Like I know you suppose to have them in a high PH but can you use to raise the PH. Would crushed coral and sand work for them?

    • @CichlidBros
      @CichlidBros  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Without knowing everything about the tank, I would guess it is due to mixing types of Africans, tank size, or water quality that is the issue, and not ph/hardness. Using something like crushed coral can increase ph some but that is not likely the reason for some dying

    I used to have a yellow lab that was so aggressive with other yellow lab that I threw him in my peacock and hap tank thinking "there you go you want to be an a***hole so you’re going to be food"! Well the thing is he became the boss and even my fusco didnlt mess with him so they lived together until time passed and they eventually died of age

    How fast would a 3 inch venustus grow from now to about November?

    • @CichlidBros
      @CichlidBros  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably up to around 5-6 inches
