America's biggest planes and other aircraft at Ramstein Air Base ✈️

- The Lockheed C-5 Super Galaxy and the Boeing 747 are among the largest planes regularly used by the US Air Force to transport equipment and personnel to places such as Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
The 747 belongs to Atlas Air, a contract company to the US Department of Defence. Also featured are C-17 Globemasters, C-130 Hercules and a Learjet C-21, one of the smallest.

My family lived on Ramstein Air Force Base from April 1971 until December 1976. From 6 to 12 years old for me. I consider that time the best childhood ever.
I didn't live on Ramstein but we lived near it and we went to the Px right by the airport a lot. They had the Christmas markets there during December. And you could literally see the planes from the parking lot. Good times.
Got to be one of the coolest feelings in the world seeing a c-5 fly a couple hundred feet over you…

Good stuff. Ramstein gets lots of interesting aircraft every day due to its size. Its probably one of the most important bases outside of the USA and I believe has in excess of 50,000 US nationals working there and its satellite bases. Thanks.
great video loved all the different planes landing and taking off looks a great place to film did u get stopped or the police come and see u i was told there was alot of police about because of plane spotters

my grandpappy was a flight engineer before r they didn't need anymore and helped write the logistic software for tracking c5 cargo during desert storm its great to see these aircraft and their operators get the recognition they deserve! The c17 is not bigger that a c5 and i hope this clears that up
It sure is. Was a Flight Dispatcher at MDC in KLGB and dispatched a few of them C17s.
Sure wish the Antonov Mriya had been evacuated to Leipzig as had been planned. She would have been a game changer in transporting materiel in support of Ukraine.

Try driving NW out of Tyndrum ,Highlands rounding the left turn at the top of the hill just when one of these giants is heading directly at you through the valley at virtually zero height. Now that is quite an experience to increase the blood pressure .
Even better is sitting fishing on loch fyne and having five euro fighters fly over you and him ,one off them acnologing you’re strange grap ,saying wow you must have brass ,,,,,,, and he wiggles back n fourth ,was an amazing feeling communicating with him ,lol ,
