Like... I was scammed and lost $60, this dang old lady or someone claiming to be a company to help me get money is just poop! I try to get my refund and report but the service is not that helpful. And I was gon use tha money for foods. I agree with u, these people r just selfish.

i just got scammed on facebook and cashapp. cash app will not cancel or refund the $400 i scammed off. my bank tells me i have to wait until the transaction goes through. because right now its on pending in my bank account. which is stupid if it is pending cancel the transaction. in total i probably will lose $600. i think my bank will not issue a refund

Your description is exactly what I'm experiencing, sent money to wrong person cancelled transaction, cash app sent screen shot of transaction cancelled. Checked the next day and bank account showed that transaction had in fact still gone thru. I immediately contacted cash app and they swore that transaction was cancelled on there in. I provided my bank statement showing that it had went thru and still they refused to look further. yes I contacted my bank who provided me WITH a Dispute Resolution form to complete. I was advised to allow up to 90 days. after approx 86 days my bank found in my favor and refunded my money back. However like you said Cash app went back into my account and took it back out pitting me in the negative. I am now mailing all my paperwork to them and hopefully someone in that puzzle palace can figure this mistake out once and for All. If it were only pennies I wouldn't be pursuing this!

A bit old but I feel your pain I was hit with a facebook market place scam and I put the man on blast that was trying to sell my a xbox series x.I stupidly sent him $259.00 my bank hid behind the "Oh did you authorize it?" card and the "Since it was a third party app it's not their responsibility." Cash app needs to be sued for enabling scammers and schemers.
The power is in the hands of the bad people in life and not the good ones.There is next to no recourse.
I had a good run with finding trust worthy people on FB market but that is the last time I trust a old account with high ratings.
There is for California the right to receive all refunds due. It states this on the bottom of the page.

People need to learn how to send money it doesn't matter what I'm out I'm sending to a person though I see their name and I have them stored in my contacts I will usually send them a dollar first one stay confirmed to me by phone that they received the dollar then I proceed sending the rest of the money could be hundred a thousand or whatever the case might be think smart play safe

Everything you said is true but one there’s a little problem with cash app there’s no number to call because i already did my way to cancel the money and learn my mistake I also been using cash app years and years that my first problem I cancel it It disappeared and then the other day I went in again i saw it it said complete i press complete i can’t see anything anymore and i when online look for there’s number i call them nobody answer the phone anyway I’m saying that there’s not good, just didn’t help me with my mistake

If it's not giving an option to cancel, that means it's already gone through. Basically the only option is to request the money back from the other person.

It should just show up as a credit in your Cash App account (so your balance on Cash App will go up). It can take a few days to go through though.

Do you mean how do you get the money out of Cash App? You can get the cash app card and then use it at at ATM or spend it at a store. But to transfer it, you'll need a bank account.
Mine was a romance scam. I sent 500 to a girl because she said she was coming over to live with me or get married and she didn't show up. I filed a dispute with my bank.
