214: The Oldest Truck Stop On I-80 (In Pennsylvania)

I visit the Kwik Fill Truck Stop in Kylertown, Pennsylvania. The very first truck stop to be constructed along I-80.

My intent was just to show the amenities. Finding out it was the oldest truckstop on I-80 in Pennsylvania was an unintentional bonus. I almost didn't stop, but at the last second decided to grab a couple of things at the Mountain View.

Wow, you brought back some memories for me. About 25 years ago I had a dedicated run where I had to spend every other night there. The food was always amazing. Doesn’t look like the place has changed one bit. Which is a good thing.

As truck stops go they don't get much handier. It was such a learning experience this time. I never fueled there and was surprised to see that the fuel island was full service. That's West coast stuff.
