In this video I will show you how I solve a problem with the slipper clutch that is always getting loose.
It is also explained its function and possible causes for this problem & how to repair it.

Sehr schönes Video 👍 habe das gleiche Problem aktuell mit meinem Granite 4x4 BLX. Zusätzlich ist hier aber noch ein Lager am hinteren Diff Ausgang fest. Leider habe ich den Fehler gemacht trotz merklich geringerer Beschleunigung noch ca. 30min zu fahren. Ergebnis sind mehrere Verschmelzungen im Bereich der Kupplung und ein total abgeschrupptes Kunststoff Hauptzahnrad

Wow, das ist recht heftig mit den Verschmelzungen. Aber da merkt man wieviel Power so ein "Spielzeug" hat.

Wie zieht man die Kupplung denn straffer? Welche Schraube ist das?
*Edit OK du hast es ja gezeigt.
Kann man dafür nicht einfach etwas lock tight schaubensicherung auftragen?

Hey "by gun". Danke für dein Kommentar. Ich freue mich sehr, dass mein Gequatsche zumindest einem eine Lösung geboten hat. Aber bitte sei nicht so voreilig mit dem Wiedereinbauen, nachdem du mit Loctite gearbeitet hast. Sonst wirst du mich noch lange verfluchen! Es muss wirklich austrocknen. Lass da ruhig lieber 2 Tage vergehen. Wenn du Zeit findest, lass mich wissen, wie dein Ergebnis war. Viel Spaß mit dem Kraton, das ist auch ein Super RC- Car!

Mir ist zum zweiten mal der Center driveshaft und das hintere diff abgeraucht obwohl ich alles nach Arrma Anleitung zusammengebaut habe ich verstehe das problem nicht

Hi. My apology. I don't understand German language. May I know what is the main cause of this problem? Is it the slipper clutch maintenance set or the slipper plate & hub set? Can you reply as I want to order the right part for repair. Thanks.

Hello, in my case the main issue was the spring. So maybe you do not need to buy anything. Definately not the slipper plate & hub set. I cannot image what needs to happen to damage those. Try to make sure that the "spring" does not jam inside of the front slipper plate. You see it at 12:45 in my video: I could not get this spring out and it needs to move freely. Try to reduce the outer diameter of the spring (by squeezing or grinding material off). You can check if the sping is right by mounting the slipper clutch together and open it again: If the spring falls out then it is correct.
Then also get sure that you use some blue loctite and put some on from the other side (that part with the thread - I hold it at 15:35). Than let it rest for at least 24 hours and only after that put it all back together in your truck.
If your spring is already moving freely than you have some other issue, so I would recommend to go with the maintenance set.

@@w.k.6010 Hi there. I did the repair but I'm not sure whether I did it right. After I tighten the slipper screw & applied the loctite, the spur gear/clutch pad still rotate or moving. Is it suppose to be like this? Or it should not be moving at all? Appreciate if you could give an advice. Thks

@tara mizzi. Hi again. This is strange. Normally if you tight the scrwew all the way and open it just a bid (rotate back the screw 360°) you should not ne able to rotated it with your hands. Al least I couldn't do it. It sounds that something else is going on with your slipper clutch. And be careful with the loctite. Don't put it all back in the rc car directly. Wait for 2 days otherwise you will be not able to dismount it again.
Any chance you could share some vids or Fotos from your slipper clutch?
