Awesome specimen and your improvements are equally awesome ! This tree should inspire all of us to go collect one and start on a journey like this

That's the nicest eastern white pine I've ever seen in bonsai form hands down 🙏🙌

You have done a wonderful job on such a dense and vigorous strobus. I am a big fan of this species.

I'd like to know how to find a white pine that is so fully branched and covered with needles in this size. All the white pine videos show amazing trees of small stature full of foliage. The saplings or seedlings I find are always very spare. The one here is so beautiful. I'm afraid to prune back my little white pine for fear it will not produce more branches.

Honestly Richard, that is a whole video blog in itself. One way to get bigger trees is to buy 5, 7, 10 gallon trees. However one who needs the knowledge on how to care for that tree in each stage of development. Each pine White, Black, Mugo, Ponderosa etc is taken care of differently. I too once owned lots of sticks in bonsai pots ...and wondered how long it would take to grow up. The answer was 15 to 25 years to get to this size of material. Hope that helps 🙂👍

@@dirtylocustgardencenter7200 It does, but it's sad. I live among eastern white pines and there are so many saplings around. I have one in a pot, and it has a nice trunk with an interesting bend, but the branches are far apart and just tipped with needles. I have no idea what to do with it, and as I said, I don't know how to or if to prune it.. Thank you for your detailed reply.

@@dirtylocustgardencenter7200 May I send you a picture of what I have and see if I should bother with it or give up? I'm not young, so I probably won't see a really mature "bonsai," but I wouldn't mind playing with it to learn and give it a try if it's worth it.

Dear Sir thanks for The Video, Sir will you be Reporting this Bonsai Tree since you reshape it? Would you put this Bonsai Tree on the Femininity side? And would that Play on what Color and Size of the Bonsai Pot ? Will you be Showing the Repotting?

For now I'll probably put back in the same pot. I may show the repotting of this tree. Finding the right pot is going to be a great study in pots as this is a massive tree. Thank you for your comment 🙂

Thought Eastern White pines were not worth working on....is this a special variety or cultivar?

Good Day, as I mentioned in the video, this was a clients tree that I was asked to style. When they decided to have it leave their collection I was happy to bring it home. 🙂
