Initial styling of a Large old Japanese Black Pine episode # 47
มุมมอง 121หลายเดือนก่อน
Why is this video so long? This was a big, big tree with lots of work, clean out, branch removal and wiring. Plus it needs to be mentioned is how much time is required to study the tree. What is at old saying about something being built in a day. This tree presented many unique challenges, however i look forward to this tree future development. ronandersonbonsai.myshopify.com/ #bonsai #howtoost...

Cement... he said cement 😅 That bonsai looks beautiful.
@@michaelwoodward2264 thank you very much 🙏. This tree came into the garden 4 and a half or 5 years ago as a 8 foot tall nursery stock tree. It's coming along. Thank you for your comment.
How often do you water? I live in half moon bay. It rains a lot during the winter, specially lately, and it’s also foggy during the summer. Doesn’t get very hot. Im going to test your mix out for sure
@@sergiog3792 we base watering on the temperature and how much rain we get. Check out our oldest video it talks about watering Sergio 🙂

That’s a cool tree.
Thank you! It's on its way and I appreciate your comments 🙏
I am a bit south of you. I wasn't aware we could have maples due to heat. Now I need maples
@@stevevaughn2040 it's all about the shade Steve. We use 60 to 70 from March/April to about October based on the temperature 🙂
60 to 70 percent
@@dirtylocustgardencenter7200 Thank you. I am outside Merced. I have my cactus, succulents, and desert roses, under 40% shade, facing east. House shade is used to cover sensative plants after around six hours of sun, desert roses get the most. I am going to look for Maples in Spring since they can be okay. Glad to see a source of quality plants kinda locally, presently closest nursery is in Fresno
@@stevevaughn2040 you are very welcome. A great Saturday road trip 😀! Bring a friend and make it an event 🙏
Lime sulphur the wood apply a wood hardening agent the cover in a two part epoxy. Will end the rot that could spread down and up. Also epoxy stimulates a faster healing as it gives the cambium something clean to push against. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️. Maple wood digests so fast if your soil is healthy with microbial life. Beautiful tree❤
@@imcoolboi-tq6zb great insight 🙂
Looking forward to seeing the progression of this tree.
