I just bought one today and i absolutely love it. I almost didnt buy it because i didnt realize they changed the name of the barlett to the utility jacket. So im glad i did some research and found out that the utility jacket is formerly known as the barlett. I would've missed out on finally owning the barlett. Ive wanted one for a few years now. I now own 6 Carhartt Jackets.
I have the same jacket but in carhartt brown and I got the big an tall in a 2X, best winter jacket on the market, I also live on a farm and it keeps me warm when im out doing chores🐴🐄🌽🐷🐓
@@assassin7250I just bought one as I plan on driving my Jeep without the doors on all fall/winter/spring. The jacket is VERY substantial. Should work very well in most areas of the country for those seasons. Only warmer coat I own is my military level VI ECWCS coat.
I have a bunch of carhartt jackets including 2 of these. This is rated a level 2 warmth but seriously it should be 3 maybe a 4. It's warmer than their artic insulated traditional coats rated at 3. That Sherpa-Lined makes a huge difference. Only things I don't like about these Bartlett is no neck coverage, sleeves are unnecessarily long and it's a bit short in the front. I hope they make an actual coat out of these.
That’s a great review. When I bought the jacket it wasn’t stated as being one of their warmest jackets and I wasn’t expecting much because of that. Just like you, I was shocked, at not only the warmth, but the actual weight of the thing. It’s heavy. It’s a substantial jacket. It’s so warm that my legs feel cold in comparison (if that makes sense). And I agree on the neck coverage, it is a bit off in that category.
@Doublebase yes exactly it's a heavy jacket for its size. It actually feel like its a protective shell . I can see an improvement in another iteration but they should level up the warmth on their site. I have the yukon extreme active jacket which is rated at 4 and similar. Without layering both jackets the Bartlett is warmer... has to be the sherpa inside.
Thanks for posting this video. I am very tempted to buy this jacket. I like the large pockets and the warmth of sherpa lining. The only thing I don't like is the zipper. I have another Carhartt that have a double pull zipper. It allows easy access to your waist belt area, especially when driving. Again, thank you.
@ 6’2” 250 at the time I bought the jacket. Jacket is X-Large and it’s very roomy. I feel like at my size I’m almost between sizes on this particular jacket. Carhartt runs large in just about everything. If I were 220, which I am now I’d probably just go large.
This is a great Carhartt jacket. I ordered mine and it's very well designed and bulletproof. I have jackets from Filson and Ironheart and this is right there. Only difference is $$$. Absolutely badass, I'm 6'1" and thin and the medium fits perfectly. Don't sleep on this jacket. It's a steal from Carhartt.
I swear to god, this jacket is actually warmer than their extreme warmth coats. I just spent two days in my Super Dux Extreme Warmth Rain Defender and I was wishing I had worn my Bartlett. I can’t get over the warmth and comfort of the Bartlett!
I was shopping for a Carhartt jacket recently and for me it was a toss up between the bartlett and the active. Both are really nice jackets but what pipped it for me was the zipper on the active jacket. It is so much more robust feeling than the zipper on the bartlett. I think I may still buy a bartlett because I like the fleece lining and I like the pockets but the active is a tiny bit better for me.
Hi Doublebase, just subscribed to you! I saw you are wearing size XXL, I am personally 196cm tall and interested to order one. LMK how tall you are and if it fits you well.
Well put it this way, yesterday it was -10 where I am...my dog took off into the night (couldn’t believe it), and the only thing on my body that wasn’t cold was the parts that this jacket was covering. Found the dog after 20 minutes. Another ten minutes and she probably would have died. Close call. Great jacket.
So far, I’m a year in on it and it’s great. I feel like it’s just starting to break in. They do run large, so I think it’d be best to try it on rather than ordering it online.
Not much, honestly I’ve been wearing my Super Dux jacket this winter more than this thing. Which really surprised me because initially I wasn’t a huge fan of that Super Dux, but I now might even like it better than my Bartlett. It’s warmer, it covers my neck better and the material has held up great.
You’ve got a point there. Some people really like that faded look with these things, they’ll actually pay for it. I personally am trying to keep it looking good as long as I can.
I have a Volcom jacket that is warm but makes me sweat cause it doesn't breath. What do you think about this one? (I have an old Carhart jacket from a farmer's thrift shop in Arkansas. Rocks. ) Subbed.
The zipper is lame, I’m really disappointed by it. Also, I know it’s a work jacket… but it catches lint so easily, especially when you have a dog. Other than those two drawbacks, it’s a great jacket. I used it when it rained, and nothing came through, so that’s awesome.
I love the zipper. Although I only use it when it’s really cold out, otherwise the jacket gets too hot. Doesn’t matter now, this thing is in my closet and I won’t use it again till next November.
I did. I stood there tugging and pulling on my love handles and jacket for about five minutes, petrifying people walking by. I should have went with the XL, over the double X. I screw up when I’m under pressure.
Hi, I'm 5'8" , 155 lbs.. I wear size medium. When it comes to Carhartt jackets. I always size down. This Bartlett in "SMALL" fits me perfectly well. Hope that helps. ☕️
I am 5'11, 165 pounds, slim waist, long arms. I have it in medium and it fits well. Sleeves cover half my hands, so quite long. Could be a bit longer in the back.

I love mine too!
Mine should come in the mail tomorrow I can’t wait to wear it
I was searching for a warm winter jacket that keeps a nice silhouette. Got so much more than that. This jacket is awesome!
Such a durable and functional jacket. Warm as hell too!
That intro was top tier. I completely deemed you a psychopath until I saw the other comments & hefty views 😂😂😂
Haha, well at the time of this video I think I had like 50 subscribers or something. Honestly, I don’t have too many now either. 🤣🤣

I've been looking for a heavy work jacket but was skeptical about whether the Carhartt was worth the money. Thanks for the video 👍
so was it worth it? I'm looking for something that is long term and keep me warm.
@@assassin7250definitely worth it you won’t even feel that cold wind when it hits you

Just got one in the mail, order a size down that you normally would.
XL is a little too big but a L is a little too small.
I have to order a size up (XL)
Im In between sizes.

Use the snaps instead of the zipper and you can leave a few buttons undone at the bottom
Good points, you’re not the first to mention the zipper, but the buttons are pretty darn durable and functional too.

You’re definitely not the first one turned off by the zipper on the Bartlett. I personally like but I do think a double zipper would be better.

I’m not sure, I usually don’t use the zipper if I’m worried about being too hot. I’ll just button it and let some airflow in.
Did this model replace model 103371 ??
Don’t know.
I have a tag Made in Indonesia fake or real ?
Good question, I’m out right now but when I get home I’ll check.
Just checked, mine is made in India. I doubt yours is fake, they probably have several contracts with different factories around the world.

if I'm 6ft3 (1.91m) and 80 kg, what size should I get?
Tough to say but at 176 pounds, despite your height, I think an extra large would be too big for you. I’d go with the large. Just my opinion.

That’s tough to call. I think a large might be too big for you, maybe a medium.
How warm it is 1-10 mate?
What’s the product number on website
103826 but make sure to use the actual workwear site, not the WIP site
I’m 5/7 skinny do u think a medium ?
Honestly I don’t know. There’s places that carry these things in stock. I’d seriously suggest trying multiple sizes on because these things run BIG.
