Bro, you choose the smartest path, waiting until every last feature was implemented and fixed. I wish I had done this. I believe the very last thing they did to the game was to increase the difficulty of the final boss to bring him more in line with his lore. I wish I had waited for this because even after the total game overhaul, he was still a little too easy.
@aperson4640 well, there's still promised FSR3 that was promised by both CDPR and AMD (I think it still shows Cyberpunk on AMD's website about FSR3) that's not implemented, and possibly won't be implemented at all
Their comeback execution was flawless. They started cooking and I'm not sure if the anime was supposed to be an ingredient in the whole thing but it took that dish to the next level.
This game still lacks A LOT of side quests, i mean real side quests not that police work or car theft, a story driven side quests and A LOT of random encounters on street, NC looks pretty safe as place to live, not what they promised us.
Oddly enough, the disastrous launch has in a way kind of helped the game. The bar has been set so low that the game simply being *competent* or *functional* after all the updates has made people go, "see??? It's finally the great game that it was meant to be!" Even though it's still a far cry from being the ground-breaking open world RPG experience that CDPR initially promised. I'm glad that the game is overall enjoyable now, but lets not pretend that its suddenly setting a new standard.
@@eddyram4932 since all the updates there’s literally so many side quest whether it’s cops gang stealing cars and then Dogtown just added a whole new level
I actually find myself thinking about V and the adventure I had with him from time to time. One particular moment i can’t shake is saying goodbye to Judy as she decides to move to Portland. She was The love of Vs life but he could never have her. Beautiful moment.
While it wasn't super smooth and polished, I was able to play with only a few issues on an Xbox One. The PS4 (Pro) wouldn't play it at all, crashes each time I tried to load it. This game is great! So many ways to play, in fact, I'm about to start yet another walk through. Orion should be just as cool, I can't wait.
I got it on steam sale. Its been nice. I do have a problem with the false illusion of choice impact. I rather they just play out the cut scene without pretending like what i say matters lol
I'd say about 80% of the time it matters what you say and that can change certain situations, relationships, missions and the ending. So you are wrong bro.
Same I was lucky 1% that didn't see any glitches on PC. Unless you count running next to a vehicle's bumper an unoptimized script. In the first month I found 7 roof tops the dev didn't think people would reach, reached and I fell to the underworld and had to reload from a check point. The inventory limit was reached fast.
well, it really wasnt in a horrible state or anything, tons of people played it with no issues. its just the people who played it on old gen who had problems.
@Jacket50Blessings I played it and the experience was horrible. I could see the potential but it was filled with bugs. Still has some bugs, like the overwatch rifle for example. Can't complete my wail because it's stuck in my character inventory.
I only played the game for the first time in June on a fresh PC build, and I am glad that both the base game and its expansion in its present state were my introduction.
I still remember playing it on PC at launch and wondering how everyone was having so many issues. My game crashed twice. That's it. That's the only problem I had at all with the game during that launch time frame. No bugs, no glitches, no game breaking issues besides those two crashes. Guess I just lucked out. Been playing it off and on since. On my 4th playthrough and this time is for the "secret" ending.
@@pastormosesmaloney1604 100% should give it a try. I get bored of most games fast. But, I completed every piece of content in this and have 100+ hours
The fact it was first person is what kept me from playing it until last month...I was bored and gave it a shot, now I have 200 hours and starting my 3rd playthrough, I did male V/nomad first, then male V again but different choices. Now I am doing female V/streetkid and I will probably do another play again after. We will never know what third person would of been but I feel first person was the right choice. The mechanics they were able to do with first person just wouldnt work in 3rd, and wouldnt be as impactful. 20 out of 10 game, love the world, love the story and god I wish we got another expansion. Instead they are making Cyberpunk 2 with an american dev team meaning itll be a lump of garbage. The story will be awful and I can guarentee they will ruin the aesthetic of the game. Luckily we will always have Cyberpunk 2077 with mods
yup. It'll be full of "diversity" and woke culture especially since it's being made in Boston. Unless the directors can reign them in and ensure that any "DEI requirements" get put in tastefully and not some bullshit integral part of the story. I'm hopeful but I will not be pre-ordering this game for the sole reason that it's developed in the U.S.... Lord willing we will get a cyberpunk making a name for themselves story and not a lets fight systemic oppression steaming lump of shit.
They just hired an activist writer from Ubisoft I think. She said that they have to put all the efforts for diversity and inclusion. So there, as much as I love the game, I won’t be getting the next Cyberpunk day one. I will have a a wait and see approach, but I have no hopes for that next fame being good.
@@BurnerShiro yep, she wants 3% of the population to be 50% in game. She wants to see every character gay so she feels represented and special...forget good storytelling, gotta check those boxes

anyone can create a game and update it once in a while and be done with it, but there is no dev team like CDRP to have this much passion and give this much continuous love to a single game. mad respect.
As someone who kinda forgot about this game due to its crappy launch, and being reminded that it existed after watching Edge Runners, I can say that the show alone basically saved this game's life
@@dmnd7nope I agree it was the show the show got a lot more people playing that didn't bother trying it say 1 who buys a whole game for a DLC when the game has non stop drama the show got so many people playing and into the genre

The world they created is just that good and the fixes and improvements only made it better. Look forward to their next take on this universe.
I've been playing since launch and I can confirm it's been flawless since launch. I've never seen anything people were complaining about. The game is phenomenal. Makes you want to live in this fun and gritty reality of the cyberpunk world.
1st and 3rd person shouldve been an oprion. ive played since launch, love the game, always come back to it. cdpr should not stop adding to it until orion, imo. new game plus, and more additional stories will always be wanted.
Other gaming companies-and those in other industries as well-should study how CDPR responded following Cyberpunk’s release. No redirection or pointing fingers; just admitting their mistakes, putting their nose to the grindstone, and working steadily over years to improve the product. That’s how you rebuild consumers’ trust.
@@yaratv2000 So they hired *one* person who departed from SBI, in a yet unknown capacity but certainly no executive role since those will go to Cyberpunk Veteran developers. Which effectively means SBI is in no capacity involved with Cyberpunk Orion, which is reflected on their Wiki Page that lists every Project, even those whose release is potentially years away, and Orion isn't on that list. God, imagine a World where people like you don't exist, who cry "woke" at mere shadows on the Wall. Would be one step closer to Utopia.
They do not have any Sweet Baby Inc writers. I'm seeing a lot of you say this because Mary Kelley was hired (who was an advocate for SBI on her personal Twitter). So I get the confusion. But lets not say they're actually working with Sweet Baby Inc consultants, because they're not. She also made it clear that she cannot self insert any activist material if the devs don't want it. She has no power over it, she assured everyone. She's simply a writer on the team. Sweet Baby Inc themselves, have 0% connection to CDPR right now. If that is to change in the future, then we can cry wolf.
I play on a PC and am a recent player. I am on the 2.01 version. I wholeheartedly agree that Cyberpunk is an amazing game! I love everything about it. I wonder if the pandemic had anything to do with the slow start.
The game is as vast as the Pacific Ocean, but it's only ever as deep as a puddle. I hope the sequel is more along the lines of what they originally wanted to deliver.
I delayed getting the game because of the initial issues. I also went out of my way to know nothing before going into it. I hate having the ending spoiled before I can play a game. In this case, I wish I had. Once I started playing it was an ok game, but as soon as it became clear that V was going to die, I lost all interest and quit playing.
I joined the Cyberpunk community late on, I think around when patch 1.5 was live. I did experience the odd bug here and there, but overall I was so gripped by the game. But then when 2.0 and Phantom Liberty came out, my god. It was the game that CDPR promised it to be. I really hope the next installment in the Cyberpunk world carries on the good work the chooms at CDPR have done with Cyberpunk 2077
I'd still prefer 3rd cause what's the char creator for? Still doesn't make any sense. Different outfits. Just ridiclulous we have this features but can only see them in mirror or photomode. Just lazy, imo.
It's a real shame that for #2 we see them hiring more and more DEI pushers and someone that just said " Cyberpunk2077 was a great game but it didn't go nearly for enough in push social commentary or political agenda. "
I will never understand why people make comments like this. Historically, a lot of videogames have had political commentary. Just because YOU don't agree with the rhetoric doesn't make it odd. The very world of Cyberpunk is political commentary.
So i bought this game on sale, sometime within the first year of release, but i never got around to playing it. It sat uninstalled for over a year. A few weeks ago I finally downloaded it and started my first playthrough. Im so grateful to my past self for not playing it any sooner, its such a fantastic game, so great i immediately bought the DLC after about 30 hours in my first playthrough. Still on my first playthrough and already thinking about my next V build
I did the same thing; I started playing it in late 2021 and, while the ps4 version was still buggy, it was a relatively good experience; then when I upgraded to the PS5, it was a completely different experience (in a great way) I didn’t play it again until about three months ago and I am still playing the game and enjoying every moment of it
Forgot the inclusion of SBI also into the new team. Which is what can lead to Cyberpunk 2's downfall. It'll just be an agenda pushing game rather than an actual amazing story
I love the first person for Cyberpunk 2077, it adds so much to the immersion. But when it comes to traveling around NC an all, I'm on my bike in third person to enjoy how my character looks.

My son-in-law knew that I had opted for the refund and recently told me "they really did a good job with Cyberpunk" so I opted back in and WOW! totally the right game now.
Yup yup, it's hard to believe it's been 4 years since the game came out. I bought it maybe a week after it released. I knew there were some problems, but I really didn't pay much attention, and I played it on base PS4, and I only crashed 4-5 times in 100 hours of playing. I don't even remember many glitches.
If only CDPR had put as much time and energy into the actual game that they put into the gameplay demo... "We apologize for not showing gameplay on older gen systems because if we had we would not have gotten money from those players" - exact quote, probably
Those who expect it to be perfect on day one probably only ever played Witcher 3 after it was patched over a few times. CDpr games had always been jank since Witcher 1(it had to be fixed in Enhanced Edition), Witcher 3 had a lot of bugs early on as well that I got stuck unable to leave to Skellige on the ship as it keep crashing, not to mention sometimes Geralt's face morphed away from his head, the usual Roach hijinks, etc. The time I got my hands on Cyberpunk it atleast was playable from start to finish with some funny stuff happening. People's expectation almost killed it.
Getting to fight max tac and realizing that there is no escape was a great new experience and I highly recommend players seeing if they can survive a tango with the most elite enemies the game has to offer.
I pre-ordered this game and played it at launch. I loved the game from the start even with all the bugs and I might be biased because I played Cyberpunk 2020 with my friends back in the day. I just loved being immersed in that world and now that the game's been updated the way it has it's become one of my favorite games of all time.
This game is better in first person because it forces YOU the player to feel the moral weight of every decision V makes as if you were living their life through your eyes
The gangs definitely do play a role in the game. So many of the gigs and side stories to be uncovered in the world have to do with characters from the different games. Not to mention the several main story missions around maelstrom, voodoo boys, etc
masterpiece in my opinion, the world they create is incredibly immersive and how the quests are made is actually nutty, i played it through so many times and it was always a different experience
It's crazy cyberpunk 2077 is my first cdpr game and I was so addicted to the story. Even tho I played it on release I never quit the game because of the story I think I played story over more then 10 times and it's just so strong. And with the phantom liberty DLC the game is just breathtaking.
Cyberpunk was a major victim to over ambitiousness. This is the same thing that has plagued games like Assassins Creed Unity and No Mans Sky. I can understand how it happens and give respect to any game company that sticks with the game to repair the damage. True, like the other two games, a disasterous launch but by sticking with their game it has become one the better games out there. Good vid
I played and 100%'ed the game a month post-launch in January 2021 on a 5 years old CPU (at the time, i7 6700k, still rocking it right now), 16GB of RAM and a RTX 2080, and the game ran perfectly fine at high settings, with ZERO quest or visual bugs to report, and I remember no crash either. Cyberpunk was a clown fiesta on old gen consoles, and CDPR should be held accountable for choosing to release it at all. But the old gen debacle shouldn't hijack the entire narrative. On PC and next gen, even at launch Cyberpunk 2077 was still an amazing AAA FPS-RPG, was an amazing tech showcase for pushing graphics and urban level and visual design, had iconic memorable story and world building, and was my personal game of the year.
I’m 25, and I’ve been a avid gamer my whole life, Cyber punk and death stranding are my two all time favorite games, horizon forbidden west might be the trinity to my list.
Some people don’t understand that CDPR is known for this. Witcher 3 had a slightly rocky start and had a bunch of bugs but after some time they polished it to be the gem it is. I knew this was gonna be how Cyberpunk was gonna be so I never faulted the bugs it had
They were very optimistic with their tiny couple month delays. Little did they know, it needed delayed 3 years to reach its potential haha. Glad it came around though.
As a gamer myself, I hate those that complain and rush game developers and then complain about the game when it comes out . like in a kitchen, rush a dish and it won't taste as good 🤷🏾

@aperson4640 well, there's still promised FSR3 that was promised by both CDPR and AMD (I think it still shows Cyberpunk on AMD's website about FSR3) that's not implemented, and possibly won't be implemented at all
My favorite game since day one. I experienced no issues aside from some clipping my first go round.
The game is a bare bones hype job😂 I guess a lot of people are blinded by the shiny neon lights in it.
@@eddyram4932 Agree
@@infamos21 a couple sidequests and cops that barely do anything. Again, bare bones.
i love this game so much. i can’t count how many times i’ve played through it. i’m proud to say this is my favorite game of all time.
glad i always way a year before buying any games, i got cyberpunk for 5$, had no gameplay issues, and its now my fav game of all time
Yeah you definitely struck gold with that deal and a year after the debacle. 5 dollars? Where?
Never had any reel game breaking bugs or crashes since day 1 playing
I did
I actually find myself thinking about V and the adventure I had with him from time to time. One particular moment i can’t shake is saying goodbye to Judy as she decides to move to Portland. She was The love of Vs life but he could never have her. Beautiful moment.
Nah, it's Panam supremacy is the canon V storyline. 🗿
@@ivanaleksandartsanev1693Yeah, except he is completely right. We are talking about meaningful differences, not dialogue tree differences.
@@w4gn4o I'm not sure what you mean. What difference would you like to see that isn't in the game?
Most games with 'choices' are like this. Neat little differences here and there but nothing humongous.
It’s crazy to think of the state this game started in
well, it really wasnt in a horrible state or anything, tons of people played it with no issues. its just the people who played it on old gen who had problems.
Cmon now, where is the mention of patch 2.1, 2.11 and 2.12? Those brought some nice goodies too!
This is now one of the greatest games ever made
Yeah but only in your dreams.
Is it really?
Thinking about jumping into it.
@@pastormosesmaloney1604 100% should give it a try. I get bored of most games fast. But, I completed every piece of content in this and have 100+ hours
I'm so glad i was one of the fortunate few that didn't have any real issue day 1 on PC
It's like i hear myself talking about the game it's scary :D SAME!
Try female v corpo if you plan on doing another one. It fits more with a female character imo. Snarky corpo woman who lost everything resorts to taking on merc work in the dangerous streets of NC to scrape by.
anyone can create a game and update it once in a while and be done with it, but there is no dev team like CDRP to have this much passion and give this much continuous love to a single game.
mad respect.
11 minutes of you saying a whole lot of nothing. We’re here to see if it’s good or not in 2024 not a life recap spanning 10 years
I came back to cyberpunk after like a year or more, and it changed a LOT. Now is fun, playable, and i know it has a lot to offer.
Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the few games that recovered from a very very disappointing launch and turned into greatness
Don't forget the Stadia launch...virtually no bugs, very playable from day one! Strange given how few people used it.
As someone who kinda forgot about this game due to its crappy launch, and being reminded that it existed after watching Edge Runners, I can say that the show alone basically saved this game's life
Edgerunners was phenomenal. I really hope they do another anime in the Cyberpunk universe.
no, 2.0 and phantom saved it.
@@dmnd7nope I agree it was the show the show got a lot more people playing that didn't bother trying it say 1 who buys a whole game for a DLC when the game has non stop drama the show got so many people playing and into the genre
@@lovetodrawstufff3644nope I agree that if 2.0 and liberty never released edgerunnners alone wouldn't of saved this game
Not true, the game still did pretty well despite the rocky start. If anything the anime only made it even more popular and more so "mainstream"
I had a decent experience at launch loved the DLC. They did so great with Witcher 3 I just kinda blindly trusted them and though the game had its problems I always loved it. The world they created is just that good and the fixes and improvements only made it better. Look forward to their next take on this universe.
I definitely would have preferred cyberpunk as a 3rd person with an optional 1st person for shooter builds.
I've been playing since launch and I can confirm it's been flawless since launch. I've never seen anything people were complaining about. The game is phenomenal. Makes you want to live in this fun and gritty reality of the cyberpunk world.
Then Cyberpunk 2077 is heading down to hell when CDPR recruits mary kenneys as senior writer.
Rest In Panic
I don't think this game is ready for attention yet. They can keep working.
1st and 3rd person shouldve been an oprion. ive played since launch, love the game, always come back to it. cdpr should not stop adding to it until orion, imo. new game plus, and more additional stories will always be wanted.
Add a 3rd person mode if only it is just non combat.
Other gaming companies-and those in other industries as well-should study how CDPR responded following Cyberpunk’s release. No redirection or pointing fingers; just admitting their mistakes, putting their nose to the grindstone, and working steadily over years to improve the product. That’s how you rebuild consumers’ trust.
i wouldve preferred it if the next game isnt made in America with DEI and all that bullshit
I remember the glitch I kept getting was the mantis blades would drag at my feet and stretch out
The biggest red flag for Cyberpunk Orion are the Sweet Baby Inc writers.
Yup......
I thought they said no?
@@yaratv2000 Please tell us you're joking? Here's hoping they are ignored and pushed out by their betters.
@@yaratv2000
So they hired *one* person who departed from SBI, in a yet unknown capacity but certainly no executive role since those will go to Cyberpunk Veteran developers.
Exactly. Cp2077 was vapid, this, lifeless, and has no soul.
I love the universe and cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite game of all time. Building my first pc just to play this game with better graphics and mods :D
Ayy lets go!
Was happy they didn't go 3rd person. Would not like Batman/Witcher style combat.
Game is 10/10. Incredible writing, so many ways to approach a job.
agreed
I'd still prefer 3rd cause what's the char creator for? Still doesn't make any sense. Different outfits. Just ridiclulous we have this features but can only see them in mirror or photomode.
Just lazy, imo.
I'm so glad I waited until last month to finally play Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time. It's an awesome game.
I did the same thing; I started playing it in late 2021 and, while the ps4 version was still buggy, it was a relatively good experience; then when I upgraded to the PS5, it was a completely different experience (in a great way) I didn’t play it again until about three months ago and I am still playing the game and enjoying every moment of it
Playing Cyberpunk 2077 in 2023 was an amazingly great experience, and the phantom liberty expansion was a masterpiece.
Forgot the inclusion of SBI also into the new team. Which is what can lead to Cyberpunk 2's downfall. It'll just be an agenda pushing game rather than an actual amazing story
I waited years for the game. I saw the opening day mess and waited another few years for bug fixes >.
Cyberpunk lore is some of the best dystopian work ever since the TT/ books.
Day 1 ps4 player loved the game then and still love it!
Orion is going to have more dei. Won’t buy the game
I love the first person for Cyberpunk 2077, it adds so much to the immersion. But when it comes to traveling around NC an all, I'm on my bike in third person to enjoy how my character looks.
I was on ps4 pro since day 1, every single crash was worth it, this game has always been amazing to play, blew my mind and they only improved on it
Driving physics is still a dumpster fire
It really isn't, you just don't understand how it works. It's better than GTA 5 and it's very similar to the realistic driving in GTA 4.
Nah, get good fam. The driving is good. Just a ton of traffic but its realistic so…
Yall seem to think I struggle just cuz I think it's trash thats incredibly Naive , it's like you all just impulsively responded like children, doesn't mean I struggle I garentee I'm racing around those streets way better than yall lmao been playing racing games since I was ten over 20 years lmao get out of here with those silly assumptions but no being good has nothing to do it the physics no matter what you say is trash I don't need to hear your opinion to have evidence of that lmao common sense Bois think before you open your mouths.
Yall need to be sat down and explained "common sense".
@@ivanaleksandartsanev1693Not better than GTA 5 and not similar to 4. Feels like you’re driving on ice most times. I will say motorcycles feel great in the game tho
My son-in-law knew that I had opted for the refund and recently told me "they really did a good job with Cyberpunk" so I opted back in and WOW!
totally the right game now.
My only problem with this games is that we don’t have badass takedowns yet
To be fair it’s was do to them trying to optimize it for old gen consoles
yeah
The game feels empty and hollow. I expected the depth to be similar to RDR2
After several years, it has become my favorite game.
Still lacks a dynamic world
Define dynamic world.
Phantom Liberty is my favorite expansion ever. That is the reason my thumb changed from a BG3 to this. Amazing writting and characters.

Hint: if you defeat a max tax squad another, stronger squad appears.
I still say that the effort they put into PL shouldve been put into fixing and expanding the game into what they promised.
I pre-ordered this game and played it at launch. I loved the game from the start even with all the bugs and I might be biased because I played Cyberpunk 2020 with my friends back in the day. I just loved being immersed in that world and now that the game's been updated the way it has it's become one of my favorite games of all time.
When you said they ADDED the toggle to walk on PC I was so surprised. 300 hours in and I gotta say that this is my most used key.
1:48 this game would have been amazing in third person perspective!
I bought the game and then a 4090 this year. This is literally the most fleshed out world in gaming! Incredible!
Some people don’t understand that CDPR is known for this. Witcher 3 had a slightly rocky start and had a bunch of bugs but after some time they polished it to be the gem it is. I knew this was gonna be how Cyberpunk was gonna be so I never faulted the bugs it had
that one mod in chat saying "too early for cyber punk" was right... they rushed it out.
project Orion shifts production to the USA and touch on many cultural points... time to go woke i guess !
Litteraly finsihed edgerunner yesterday and went ahead to buy the ultimate edition of the game today
Am looking at it downloading
They were very optimistic with their tiny couple month delays. Little did they know, it needed delayed 3 years to reach its potential haha. Glad it came around though.
How the devs managed to get cyberpunk to the state it is today is absolutely incredible.
As a gamer myself, I hate those that complain and rush game developers and then complain about the game when it comes out . like in a kitchen, rush a dish and it won't taste as good 🤷🏾
so nostalgic..😢 I remember how they promised that game will be polished at launch.. good back days
The game is so good that You never get bored. No game came near gta like cyberpunk.
I played the game from day 1 on Xbox, and I still loved it. The attention to detail and the amount of lore from the TTRPG is just fantastic.
