Qur'an 4:157 - Who Are the Doubters?

- One of the contentious issues of discussion between Christians and Muslims is the discourse on he crucifixion. While Christians on the one hand believe Jesus was crucified and that history attest to this, Muslims on the other hand affirmed that Jesus was not crucified.
This therefore lead to this Muslims often times lay claim that Christians are confused and uncertain about the fact of the crucifixion of Jesus, they often appeal to the latter part of Quran 4:157 to drive home their point thereby concluding that the crucifixion is nothing but a conjecture with no real and substantial evidence.
Are the claims of the Muslim solid? Who indeed are the doubters according to this verse of the Qur'an?
