Sam Fowler Awesome to hear Mr.Fowler! Thanks very much for chiming in. Glad to know it. 👍🏻
I hope you guys continue to work together from time to time and I also hope Will plugs his own channel once they move on. Please continue to do collaborations and Steele vs Stelter.
NOOOOOO!! I'm going to miss Will and the jokes that the two make. Best wishes Will!!
Solve machine resto episodes. Love forging episodes. Machine resto with forging episodes are max fab. Sad to see Will lining up for take off, but congratulations on the imminent new venture.
By my calculations, that gives us 89 days between now and when he leaves. So I'm thinking that you should be able to do a final 178 part series building a Damascus pen knife or something and it'll only require you to push out 2 videos a day. Deal? 👌😜 Also, we need some more ultimate mixed-nut trick shots.
And who could forget the Blue Dykem song?
Very cool of Alec to help will with getting the hammer ready to go out on his own. Hope to see y'all collab on projects
Aaaahh Willl!!!!! Nooooo! Going to miss ya brotha...but definitely will follow you!
You Will be missed Mr. Stelter!! You’ve been a great addition to the shop and to the channel! Alec is very lucky to have a friend and partner like you!
Just when you think this year can’t get worse my 2 favourite forges are parting ways Nooooooo....... just have to watch both channel now
Did they say Will will have a channel? I must have missed that part of the video.
@@tazhienunurbusinezz1703 nope they didn't say that
Come on they will definitely and I am sure they will still have joint ventures in the future. To much great chemistry to let that go
@@christopherjones4177 Unless Will is more like Alec's wife & just doesn't love the idea of fame. It's one thing to do it if it's your job. It's different, though, when you are working for yourself.
Maybe he'll have a channel but not everyone wants fame so idk if I'd count on that if they didn't say that's the direction. He seems more low key & reserved than Alec is. Idk if that's true or not but 🤷♀️.
You guys have made a great team. Wishing Will the best and hoping he comes around often.
"we're going to completely remake all of these?"
"Yes, but better."
So... Damascus? :)
Damascus power hammer, yes! Added benefit is that such a project would keep Will on the hook for like... three more years?
@@jeremyciesla5798 years? with damascus... this is a good view for the resistance of this material. I bet more on a handfull of month for a power hammer x)
@@jeremyciesla5798 just imagine all of the hand sanding of a damascus power hammer...
I suppose this isn't over just yet but having enjoyed watching the Steele and Stelter empire grow from humble beginnings, all I can say is, "all the best" to you both...or both or you.
I’m sad that will is moving on but good for him and it’s good we’ll have someone new around d the shop
Good luck with your next venture Will. It's been great watching you make the incredible things you make. Best of luck to you.
Not like 2020 could get any worse... and then I hear Will will be “moving on” and then they insist he is “going to a better place.” No. I don’t accept it and will (hehe) be ignoring that this was every said and I shall live in my manufactured, ignorant bubble of bliss.
Alec is such an inspiration of success and wholesome work ethics. Love the channel!
Will: *uses blow torch to get pitman and cross head taken apart*
“Can’t be stuck if it’s almost liquid”
*still stuck*
While in the military we used to put things like this in the freezer overnight and they would come right out. Works great taking a race out of a wheel.
You should look into getting a sandblasting box. Depending on what kind of sand/abrasive you use it's amazing on cleaning/descalling metal.
I tend to forget alec is in his early twenties, I had no idea will had barely even broken the teens
I need some kind of what have you done with your life yet quote
they both are 21 yo i think. and yeah i want some too lol
No they are both 12
@@joelpugsley3697 even more impressive
@@braiansingh9730 If I heard it right, Will said he bought this power hammer when he was 17, in 2017. Which means he is only 2-3 years older than me, I sure did not buy a power hammer last year.
Braian Singh, I think Will is 21 and Alec is 22 btw,
I've absolutly loved Will on the channel and I hope he does do regular features and whatnot when he moves on. Very excited to see what he'll do with his own space! Alec you can't hand sand though I'm unsure whos going to do that when Will leaves
Congratulations on creating your own business Will!
Alec in all seriousness. People my not see it but it's fantastic of you and shows how good of a dude you are that you let Will (who is leaving and gonna be competing) use your shop to fix his hammer. Good on you.
Sad to see will go but it is probably best for him. Let him grow and establish his own business and grow it. Hopefully we will see ya every once and a while back in this shop.
These are some of your coolest videos. As a carpenter is fun to watch you work thru problem and problem solve on the fly.
Aw man. I was so excited I have been waiting 2 years for this project. Then you tell me Will is leaving. Conflicted feelings, sad and excited.
I enjoy these series. Buy what you can to make what you need. And don't be afraid to learn and maintain your own equipment.
Will leaving ??? im so sad :( loved this duo
I hope this means more Alec and more Will! More overall content from two separate channels would be great. And I’m sure there will be plenty of crossover appearances!
Will's gone, literally the best part of this channel. I am so sad. Best of luck to him, but I wish he was staying.
he's got his own chanel which he will probably use and also he streams a lot on instagram
Good Luck Will, hope you find everything you are looking for, just remember.......... Do what you Love and Love what you Do and you will never go wrong..
Real title:
"I use the power hammer to make the power hammer"
PowerHammerception
You guys are a great team. I don't know much about forging, but I know teams and team development. You guys work well together. Will, good luck with your next venture. Alec, good luck to you as you navigate change (again). Change management is hard, especially for a business that is growing like yours. I look forward to seeing bigger and better things from you both.
Waiting for the mymechanics parts washer and subsequent mirror-polish
One of the best ones you (and Will) have done Alec. Forging to spec could very well become your Superpower if you keep striving for precise measurements through artistically precise forge techniques. Imagine teach how to machine metal with a forge.....mmmm. All the best, Rob.
Raid shadow legends commercials haunt my dreams.
Built to last, how wonderful to restore such a grand old tool. Sad to see the Steele and Skelter era come to an end but I know both of you great blokes will continue to thrive!
“This episode is spons...”
me: *tap tap tap tap tap*
Sincerely hope Will continues to make videos on his own next year. It's been great to see him grow as a video host in his own right. Best of luck to both!
PLEASEEEEE TELL ME WILL WILL (Hehe) MAKE TH-cam CONTENT TOO!!!!
Omg this makes me so F*CKING sad. I love the chemistry you guys have. I really really really reallllllyyy hope you guys will keep making stuff together.
Moving to your own shop and focusing on your own work is obvious a very smart business choice, but I really hate not seeing you messing with Alec anymore :(
Much love from a Dutchy living in Switzerland
Alec, you've been a great mentor to Will and I hope he carries your mentorship skills with him when he leaves and branches off on his own. Will I hope you mentor your apprentice as good as Alec has with you, good luck and I'm sure you'll be successful.
Restoring an antique power hammer
Step 1: Know someone who has a plasma cutter and has technical know how to fix broken metal (Fireball tools)
Step 2: Have a full shop to remake any wonky parts, said shop should have a forge and ironically a power hammer, hydraulic press is also critical
Step 3: Wait until the next episode.
That said, going to be sad to see Will leave, that back and forth between the two was always so fun to watch.
PLEASE give us one more Steele vs Stelter before he goes! Congratulation Will, you have definitely gotten way better in your time with Alec. The things you can make now with what you've learned is amazing.
But who’s going to do all the hand sanding if Will leaves?
Maybe Mrs. Steele?
3:00 is it already 4years that I've been watching Alec createing such beautiful pieces of art?
Was wondering how long some one as talented as will was gonna be content working for someone else. Wonder if he's gonna start his own channel
He has his own channel. With 3 vids or so :P
I doubt he will become a TH-camr, he has never seemed to love the filming and taking part.
Massive props to Alec for not only graciously letting will leave but helping him set up his own gear to do so props to both of you and good luck will on the new venture.
"Where do we start?"
"First we call Doc Brown. Then we go back in time 100 years. Then we beat the crap out of the owners that were abusing this and get them right with Jesus."
WOW...Bomb shell announcement this episode. You guys make an excellent team. The channel won’t be the same. Sad to hear Will is leaving but congratulations and good luck to him.
My favorite thing about blacksmithing is when you don't have a tool or a part, you just make it
Unless it's a welder or something that cant be just forged out
