I really find this video very useful. I watched this over and over before I got to Florence last month. I had beaten the crowd and really enjoyed the Galleria D' Academia, the Uffici and the Palazzo Vecchio. With three days and three nights in Florence were not enough for this magnificent city of arts. There are more that I promise myself to visit for the second time.
You need a minimum of EIGHT days solely in Florence! If you're going to do a museums-art gallery-churches marathon, consider getting the 72-hour Firenze Card for one-time entry to each location.
Really enjoyed Venice, Florence and Rome this past week. Many thanks to Rick Steves for his advice on how to avoid the crowds. It was a masterful adventure.
Yes. Florence is now very pedestrian friendly, but if you're going there solo or in a small group (3-4), the taxi option is still available even to various hotels/lodgings located near the Duomo.
I think the food, people, and daily life in Florence impressed me as much as the art and architecture. Loved it. Hope to go back soon.
Absolutely agree 😊
Lovely presentation. I'm craving to visit Florence one day.
