    The debate between Magneto and Professor X is a serious debate at issue against humans who wish to capture mutants such as Emma Frost, Banshee, Azazel, Angel Salvadore and others.
    Magneto, who was at the pentagon prison at that time because of the murder of JFK, who had been released by Quicksilver, while Professor X, who was disheartened because his student was being conscripted because of the Vietnam war, was finally encouraged by Wolverine to stop Mystique.
    but at the heart of this story begins at the end of the Cuban incident.

    Their duality and "humanity" is truly fascinating!
    What saddens me is that if they actually worked togheter more instead of wasting time fighting each other they would probably have accomplished so much more !
    If only Charles was actually willing to act using his gifts for the greater good (like conditionning powerfull figures into accepting the mutants) instead of being so nausetingly ethic ... and if only life hadn't been so miserable to Erik, they could actually manage to create an actual society were mutants and some humans might cooperate !

      You can't force people to be "peaceful", if you do then you become the bad guy.
      You could say Magneto is the good guy because he forces people to be peaceful using his powers. Thing is if you don't do what Magneto says he kills you.
      If Charles "forced" someone to accept mutants they wouldn't even have the option to say no.
      You cant force someone to be good. When you do, you become the bad guy.

      Exactly! And to add to you point, if people found out that Charles was doing that, it would end up being worse for mutants. A mutant controls everything type scenario. That's the perfect way to target mutants.

    • @JobVanDam
      @JobVanDam ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joshfish2 Because first off, who decides whose the bad guys and whose the good guys? The guy with the power. Now you have consolidated power and thats dangerous cause the only people who want such power are people who want to "mold the world in their image" by forcing people to be "good".
      In the X-Men world Xavier would constantly have to be controlling the thoughts of the powerful people, then hope they are doing the "right" thing to control the people beneath them.
      In the real world humans would have to possess a powerful tool to control people like the government. Dangerous part is that anyone can claim that too or at some point they are going to die and someone else will have to assume that mantle. Consolidated power only attracts people with ambition to mold the world in their image.
      Its messy and its slow but you have to take the Xavier route. Convince people.

    I don't blame magneto for hating humans. He has suffered a lot from childhood to adulthood..he lost his mother, his people get slaughtered, even in that last when he tried to be like humans, working for his family, humans interfere their peaceful life & he again lost his family. His fate makes him believe that humans are real villians on earth..though charles can read minds but he didn't go through that pain. But yeah then also i support charles because he believes in love & peace. Revenge always make situations more harder & happiness will never come on that path...

    Double post but one thing came to my mind : Why Charles wouldn't use Cerebro to make humans accept mutants!!
    It was shown that he has the power to reach and kill telepathically all humans with it in Xm2 !
    Why can't he at least modify the thoughts by giving leaders and powerfull people of each country altered memories and perception of the mutants ? It's definetly within his reach and that would actually guarantee a better society for mutants then his stuck up idealism !
    If we take this into consideration Magneto is right : Charles is hiding and is ultimately afraid to abuse his power for the greater good!

    • @ActiveNative13
      @ActiveNative13 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Ah, a morality debate
      Indeed if the life of Eric was not as sad, then he could have worked better with Charles. If we reversed the situation, a telepath like Charles wouldn’t hesitate to use Cerebro in such a way, but with the moral belief, the ends justifies the mean.
      Now if we consider this very movie, Charles could have had Raven walk away without the choice to shoot towards Trask, next to the president, to help his belief for humans to accept mutants. Unfortunately he’ll know that Raven didn’t make that choice, and she lives either despising Charles more, or her memories are manipulated to help his cause.
      Of course you are not saying he should control humans, but manipulating them. If he does that, then do they actually accept mutants. This reminds me of the toxic relationship, gaslighting. It’s not the same but similar. For a partner to manipulate their significant other that the things going wrong in their relationship is their partner’s fault and not theirs. Maybe that’s what Charles actually wants, a healthy relationship between human and mutant kind where they can live together instead of just coexisting.
      There’s a lot of examples of why don’t these powerful characters don’t take the necessary actions to make a better world for their cause. Why doesn’t Batman just kill Joker?, why doesn’t Superman stop holding back?, why does Black Bolt have the Inhumans live on the moon?, why didn’t Thanos just double the universe’s resources?, etc. I don’t have a unified answer, but I hope it means they’re showing towards a better way then just the simple one. Well that’s my 2 cents

    Charles was the coward spineless thug in X-Men universe. He should've been used his powers to erase the memory of the entire humans about mutants existence. But still he preferred to be a coward and in the end every mutant died ruthlessly because of his insecurities.

    • @JobVanDam
      @JobVanDam ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Judging by the comments, if the people nowadays had super powers alot more would be super villains than heroes. But they would consider themselves heroes.
      You can't manipulate people into being "good". Once you force someone to be "good" you become the bad guy.
      Think of every single evil person in history and think of it from their perspective: They thought they were "good" people who doing the "right" thing and forcing people to act and think is such a way they thought was "good" so everything would be better. If you didn't do what the evil person said there would be consequences.
      If Charles forced everyone to like mutants he would be the bad guy because you can't even resist.
