Great content showing the difference these parts are making without changing any other variables such as the tune. Definitely like seeing the data logs and info at the end of the video too 👍
Great fantastic video specially showing all the specs at the end can’t wait to get it right to the top then I’ll send you my car Keep up the good work you rock I really appreciate all the hard work you’re putting into that car
Ken, you do an awesome giving people an education. I have a massive library of books (+4TB) and this type information is very hard to find. I appreciate you taking the time to explain the 5 W's (who, what, why, when where) + how. When I meet car people, I always tell them about your channel and shop. Keep up the good work Ken.
I like the step process your taking.. the numbers are REALLY impressive with humidity and ambient temps.. just curious to what the IATs are post blower. Cooling mods will help make a difference... ice tanks only help for drag app.. but it would have huge gains!!!.. Also great info at the end for us nerds!! 8700+!!!!yikes 😓.. If it were only 55° 😁
They never get nearly as hot on the dyno as they would on the street because we are letting it cool down some between pulls and the pulls are short. On the 'cool' pulls it was around 115-120. And near 130 on the warmer ones.
I figured it would be about that.. for regular driving a fan set up on the HE would be nice.. I'm not familiar with the HE set up or placement so idk if that's possible,.. you guys know this car well now so I'm sure if there's a way for it to fit it's coming
From my understanding porting decreases the air restrictions in the supercharger and boost is a measure of restriction , shouldn’t this mean that with porting the boost decreases but the airflow increases resulting in more power with less boost ? I would love to know your thoughts
wow. ive never seen what a ported blower looks like before but i wonder why they dont do that from the factory. the stock one looks so bad. like the air just hits a wall once inside the blower.
Very informative , gain 3lbs of boost off TB/ported blower . Ken what did your car make stock 688 , just off those #'s that's a 269hp increase with a few bolt-ons ! Making that kind of power with the factory blower/ported and pulley's ....that's impressive !!!
Is it right that toruqe bend rods not horspower , for example if we compare the new gt500 to the 13 gt500 in same 900 whp the wtq deference will be close to 200+ wtq is that a advantage for the new gt500 in high power level ? Will the new gt500 last longer because of low wtq ? And Yes I would like to watch the datalog 🤓
True, but torque makes you go fast QUICKLY. The 2020 gt500 lacks the torque that is needed (especially at its weight) to compete with or defeat the upcoming ZO6 and Zr1 corvettes.
Top end torque needs to be dramatically improved to help pull through that awful aerodynamic wall from mid track and beyond. In addition, no one has unlocked the transmission tuning as of yet, so top end torque is extremely important when engaging high savages like built GTR'S and CORVETTES in Mexico or US autobahns.
So the car went from 770 crank to 876 wheel with just intake, full exhaust, E85 and a tune? Wow, Ford really bottled this thing up for emissions and NVH.
Ok two years later, what is the best package for a non racer who is not looking 1k hp.. I know you have a 900 package in the works for us street guys..
It’s a small engine and the new blowers don’t make the even hp/tq spit that the smaller blowers did. It’s a trade off the bigger blowers make more top end and can spin slower thus creating less heat. A 5.0 or 5.2 will not make the same tq as a push rod 6.2 or 427 and a a 6.2 or 7.0 427 will never rev as high as a dual over head smaller displacement 5.0 or 5.2. It’s a trade off
THIS IS HOW U TEST NEW PARTS on the dyno. Great job!
Thank you!
Whoever did the editing did a great job, enjoyed the video!
Insane numbers without changing the pulley!
The progression and data on this is awesome, keep it up!
Great content showing the difference these parts are making without changing any other variables such as the tune. Definitely like seeing the data logs and info at the end of the video too 👍
Great video. Looking forward to getting the final tune complete today on the twin turbo car you guys are tuning for us.
Best tuning and performance info on the 2020 500 that I can find. Thanks!
Thank you soooo much for going through the data after the dyno results. You are a great wealth of knowledge and I'm always looking to learn more.
Great video. I really enjoyed the whole thing.
I like the way you test, change one thing at a time.
Great fantastic video specially showing all the specs at the end can’t wait to get it right to the top then I’ll send you my car
Keep up the good work you rock I really appreciate all the hard work you’re putting into that car
Excellent video. Really good process control. Great stuff.
Nice great to see the true back to back keep up great work. Thx Ken for giving data. Awesome numbers.
Amazing. Love that you are still using stock pulley. Wondering how much stock internals can take. You are in uncharted territory.
Love the behind the scenes look at the logs, more please

Wow, thank you!
Amazing, great details and dedication to excellence
Great information not to many tuner take the time to explain , during dynoing . Excellent number Ken this Shelby is just screaming congrats.😎👏🔥💪
You Da Man Rob!!!!! That’s crazy numbers
Your data explanation is on point!
I'm impressed, nice work
Superb explanation, thanks for all the tech.
You guys are effin' awesome! Great video!
thank you sir for the time and the tech
10:55 I thought the boost would drop because it's more efficient same way if you open the exhaust up and the power goes up but the boost drops
Awesome comprehensive video
Love it Ken! Keep it up

Welcome to plam beach tuning school
How do you raise torque also, are there stroker kits etc?????????
From my understanding porting decreases the air restrictions in the supercharger and boost is a measure of restriction , shouldn’t this mean that with porting the boost decreases but the airflow increases resulting in more power with less boost ? I would love to know your thoughts

I've been wondering that same thing since the 2003 2004 cobra days.
Cost
All on stock internals? With the stock trans and rear-end? Those are crazy numbers.

Yes. That is why you saw so many 13-14 rods outside of the block when you turn the power up.

Yep, horsepower's nice, but torque wins races...
Great Video
8720 rpm, 17 lbs of boost on a stock engine that you can buy from a dealer. God bless America.
I’m officially changing Ken’s title to “Professor Ken”. FYI, this video counts as 1 college credit. The bar has definitely been raised a few pegs.
What sort of gains do you think you would see with just the ported blower, throttle body and tune?
So the car went from 770 crank to 876 wheel with just intake, full exhaust, E85 and a tune? Wow, Ford really bottled this thing up for emissions and NVH.
And E85
@@PalmBeachDyno Ha! You caught me as I was editing...
@@PalmBeachDyno Are you guys taking bets on what breaks first, engine or trans? ;)
That's insane to think its making almost 900 with minimal aftermarket parts 😳
thr gt500 transmission TR-9070 DCT is 18000$+
and there is no upgrade parts for it even a spare parts can't find
Why is Ford content with the cars existing charger porting? Reliability? Lower rpm power?
What's the cost of the all the components you have added to this point?
Who makes a full titanium exhaust system?
Is this there full tilt port or just the standard port
Ok two years later, what is the best package for a non racer who is not looking 1k hp.. I know you have a 900 package in the works for us street guys..
Awesome as always Ken! I shared this on the GT500 forum: www.fordgt500.com/threads/ported-blower-dyno-test-with-stock-pulleys.193382/
Hey why is torque so low
It's not low. Horsepower is high in comparison because we are spinning such a high RPM. I have a video that explains it if you search for it
