Really appreciate this series. This is a style of fishing that I’ve used a spinning or fly rod for. Biting the bullet and getting a centerpin combo. I want to be able to control my drifts and fight a steelhead! Going to learn casting on local streams for trout this April. Thanks for your videos.

Great tips on float set ups. The one advantage with slip floats is that it prevents line twist.

hahahaha unfortunately not! i will give you a piece of advice. basically every river connected to any great lake will have fish in it right now. Do some searching! go explore! its so much more rewarding finding your own fishing holes and just going on an adventure. it can be tough but the hard work is often rewarded and much more satisfying! as a tip, you can go on the ontario hydrometric data website and find just about any river in all of ontario as well as the water levels that they are at. it's a great resource. Just remember, prior to going out, make sure where you plan on going is a legal area and the area/species you are targeting is open and in season. respect private property, follow the laws and go have some fun!
