As a farmer I can say I see the miracles of the Gods and Godesses firsthand. Hail to you Frey! May you bless this harvest!

Just discovered your channel and it is really refreshing. No overly mystical presentation, no stuffyness, no political over or undertones in either direction. Just a real relatable person presenting the practical and the mystical in a straight forward, heart felt way that ends up being the perfect balance of the mundane and the magical aspects of these things. Thank you so much for your content! 12 year practitioner here, and very much enjoy watching these. Glad these videos are out there for new comers as to watch without attaching any unnecessary bias to navigate for anyone who is just trying to explore Norse Paganism.

I've felt so lost until I found your channel which started my curiosity and learning of the old ways.
Call me crazy, but yesterday around the bon fire I asked the Gods to give me a sign if this was the right path. I shit you not, storm clouds moved in just a minute later out of the clear sky engulfing the sky above me and it lightly sprinkled. I sat there stunned but still skeptical. I said, ok that's enough, and they dispersed slowly and the sprinkling stopped... I still have a feeling it may have been a coincidence, but the moment felt so powerful.
I'll continue to learn more about the path you follow.

While I am not a farmer and have a full-time job working for my state of residence, I also maintain a small garden (a hobby endorsed by my therapist as a good self care practice). I believe this small garden helps me be more connected to nature, the seasons, and these ancestral celebrations. I would suggest that if all you have time for is a couple of containers (maybe cherry tomatoes and basil if you are new) to give it a try. I love watching the miracle of taking a small seed and seeing it turn into delicious food. It also forces you to keep track of and connect to the seasons which I also find helpful and grounding.

I've farmed a tinge in the past, but by far for me the most spiritual experience is by far hunting. There's just an energy in the wind, the crisp mornings speak to me in such an emotional way. Watching the animals do their thing. The concoction of emotions when you harvest something. Only a few other things have spoken to me on a spiritual level like hunting does. Getting my EGA, my wedding day, and when my kid was born. It's so hard to describe and I'm sure sounds crazy. I haven't found my path yet but I always make sure to say a pray to whoever is listening and make sure to thank the animal and it's spirit.

Agreed. I live in Louisiana, started driving truck again this week. I started in Louisiana on Monday and it was 100+ degrees in the day and 70’s at night. Now I’m in Illinois, and it’s 60’s in the day and 39 tonight. So glad for some cooler weather

If I get my car fixed, I wanna go out to the little towns in Southwest Kansas and give offerings to my ancestors buried there.

As I started my large garden 80x200 feet. I thought I bit off more than I can chew. I asked the gods Thor, Siff, Freyr and my ancestors to show me how I can produce a garden to feed my family. My garden exploded. I couldn’t keep up with harvesting. Everytime I went to the garden I would thank each god Thor for the rain Freyr and Siff for helping the seeds into plants and my ancestors for knowledge (my grandfather took me fishing as a young kid to gather fish for the fertilizer). At the end I plan on putting pig, honey bourbon and what ever I can make on a table in the garden to say thank you for showing me how to have a successful garden. Very good video and I’ll check out that book

I used to keep a garden, and now I celebrate in a very particular way. Who knows if it's the best, but I do believe in living off the land like our ancestors, however I live in a city now and I can't raise a great garden. I could keep a small one and have before but now I just hunt and I use EVERYTHING from the animal. Nothing is wasted. I save furs, bones, fat, I consume the marrow and organs. I have an old tree stump in the back yard that I keep nice and let some foliage grow up around it and it's gonna be decorated for the long term with skulls from my hunts which I've painted runes on and other viking-esque designs on them and then I'll smoke some of the meat and organs and feast upon them as part of my ceremony and celebration.

One must recognize two things about ancestors: They fertilize the present, literally. Either as nutrients for things that grow or the DNA in your own body. Second, every one will become an ancestor, either of blood or of place. I know for me while doing my genealogical lines, some names "reach out" to me more. And when I went to a pile of rubble that had been a house built by my G6x grandfather, I was saved from a life-threatening fall when some arms of the past went around me bearing me up.

Thank you for the content of meaningful sustenance Jacob, you're a gods-sent in these times 🙏

I think it's easy for people to forget that we are still an agricultural society in the West--that is, we are each heavily dependent on farming and crops every single day. The fact that farming is industrialized and capitalistic, unlike how it was for our ancestors, doesn't mean we don't depend on the earth, rain, rivers, and sun to provide our food every day.

I have been growing a garden for 22 years. If a veggie is on the ground I leave it there. That goes back to the Gods, Mother Nature or the animals. Never get greedy.
Around this time I will cook up a big feast. In the middle of my garden I have a table set out to leave food and glass of bourbon

We did recently have an informal camping trip in MO! If you're in the discord the Fellowship is working on doing more smaller informal meetups for those who can't make larger gatherings :)

Jacob lives in Kentucky so he's going to be able to find things far easier in Kentucky. Same as some of the fellowship leaders picking locations conveniently always in their own state. It's just easier.

I was raised in a Mexican household and my wife's family is super traditional and when I think of Hel and how she looks and her connections with the dead the sick and old I think of the day of the dead the half skull half human faces we paint on ourselves and on dolls how would I incorporate that to norse a lil better

While I don’t argue Hel has a place, I believe many of our Gods have been altered through Christian interference over the centuries. Hel being one of them.
