Apparantly, a lot of people say it captures mostly what Marines feel like during bootcamp, then combat. Other works for the reading list are Sun Tzu's Art of War, the Lord of the Rings, the Bible, and a few others. Or at least that's what I saw on their shelves.

You also forget quiiiite a few others. Hanz Zimmer and John Williams are the two most well known. John Powell, and Howard Shore are two others that are really good. And even Harry Gregson Williams, though I think his only notable work was the soundtrack for Narnia (Which still was a banger, ngl)

+john devoy I think they can't do Speaker For The Dead, Xenocide, and Children Of The Mind, because a major charactor, Jane, started as a computer program evolved from the Fantasy Game/Mind Game, but in the movie, Graff gave the command to Anderson to erase the game. Also, There was absolutely nothing about Peter and Valentine, and how Peter got to be Hegemon or Earth. There are fairly easy solutions to both of those problems, but they will still screw up the plot by a lot.
