I like how you tweak the settings over a target Gary to see what might improve the signal. I do that all the time. Another good video.
Sometimes using this method gives you more information about the target.
Despite of the stormy windy sound, what you say about the ORX is very interesting and gives some precious advises.
And even if I just "play" with a Deus, it's good to learn .

Hey gary, awesome skill school with lil cut hammy. Im in NC usa have been swinging my orx for almost a yr since covid lockdown. I true love this machine w 9in round hf coil have pulled buttons at depth on deep mode rec set on 2.5 which I run often, now learning the machine and your skill school switching over to fast rec 2.5 and pulling silver. My hope is cut coin on plantions here in the south, small bits of eight. Any more orx advice would be fantastic, but I honestly can say thanks for your time and effort on the skill schools. Awaiting the d2 here in states should be a game changer, cheers mate.

Gary, excellent video as usual, regardless of what you find! I have both the DEUS and ORX, I hunt with them both here in New England and find marvelous things too! No hammered coins though... I’d like to see a comparison of both the DEUS & ORX using the X35 coil in the lower frequencies, especially 4, and the potential advantages of the lower frequencies (with whatever tweaks you think up) for a different approach to hunted out sites. I know that higher frequencies can unmask better sometimes but could lower frequencies with a higher reactivity get the deeper overlooked treasure? Thanks so very much for all the inspiring videos!

another informative video Gary, I have on average found a Hammy in 1 in 10 digs. I have a Deus lite and use 3 fast only but would love to find more coins. all the best on your next hunt. Mac.

Gary great vid man. I've been using the deus for about 6 yrs. I always base all my custom programming from deus fast. Have had the best luck using deus fast and adjusting to site conditions from there. Deus fast and full tones in the heavy, heavy iron and trash has been a killer program for me. The question people seem to have most is how to effectively ID iron. Can be tuff for new users. I would love to see ya do a vid explaining how to ID iron or coke in some of the worst sites.
Thanks my friend, yes the full tone audio sets the Deus apart from all the others. There is so much you can do with it.

Thanks for the ORX videos Gary. As a beginner with my new ORX I'd like to see a video about best practice on where to dog my hole when I find a target. The target never seems to be in my first hole and I always need to expand the excavation before I find it. Due to that inaccuracy I fear I'm likely to nick the target with my digging tool.

The XP has the best pinpointing on the market, I never use the pin point button, just wiggle the coil back, when the sound disappears the target is on the front edge of my coil.
You will see this method on all my videos.

I’d like more ORX videos, Gary. I’d like you to tell users how to identify flat iron like strapping, that can often give a high steady TID. Very frustrating when it happens a lot

Hi Gary, I have been using the orx for a week now, very fun machine to use, I like your demonstrations with the xp line of machines and coils, on the orx to determine the depth of the target I take it that you go by the intensity of the sound with the combination of the vdi? When I am not quite sure I bend over with the pin pointer to determine if it is shallow near the surface.

The feeling you described and the depressing 20 minute time frame describes every site I have permission to. Now you can get signals and lots of them in areas, but guaranteed they are all junk like pulltabs, foil pieces, pencil eraser tops, and aluminum can fragments. Mix in a little zipper from a coat from time to time and hot rocks.. Bingo you have my sites. I feel your pain Sir.
That's real life detecting brother, so many videos out there make it look like the land is filled with treasure.
So far I've not found it.

Will you please do a video on gold 1 on in a field? I've been using this program alot and I've found some nice things. I just want to make sure I'm using it right or if I can get even more out of it. Can you do another XP Deus video on how to tweak the 9 Hot program while in heavily iron infested areas? Any tips on going over old home sites that can help identify or rule out certain bits of iron.

@@The-skillschool I use the X35 coil mostly and have the 9" Elliptical HF coil. I tend to use the X35 first to do a better (quicker) scan of the area and then go to the HF for signal separation after I feel I have been over the area many times. Is this the most accurate way of finding good targets?
I’d like to see a video on how to set up the Deus with Round HF to stop it giving false signals every time you hit a bit if longer stubble of grass. I’ve tried all sorts but haven’t had much success 🙁
Keep the ground balance at 88 and don't use tracking.
That should solve it.
Hi Gary, I'm considering ordering an XP ORX and will choose just one coil option so which coil should I choose between the HF Elliptical or the HF 9" Round if hammereds or other coins in varied soils are my intended targets ?.

There's no big difference between the 2 coils apart from the X35 is more stable and has the 4khz boost feature.
Deus Vs ORX may be Interesting.
You should use the gold settings.....They work also good on relics and coins ...
Your 100% right my friend I think the ORX Gold programs are better than the Deus Goldfield program.

Hi I'm new to the orx , is it better to run the HF coil on the highest frequency , in coin deep and coin fast, or is it best to keep it on a low frequency,
It's up to you, as a beginner perhaps try 14khz coin fast 👍

I think you have shown all there is. Let people go out and try. I would like xp to do a HF coil 11 from 4 till 60 khz multi. Or they can use 3 khz 7,18,60 simultaneously or your own wish. That I would love to see Gary 😁

I have owned 2 different XP Deus detectors and I have been very happy with the way they unmask deep coins, however because I hunt primarily in parks I have had a lot of trouble with digging deep bits of foil and aluminum cans. We have no hammered coins here in the USA unfortunately. Is there any way to alleviate this problem or is the Deus and Orx designed for European detecting. Thankyou. I really P.S. I really love the skill school video's. : )
Thanks for your thoughts. They are designed to detect metal, and not just for European soils. It sounds like you gave difficult sites.
The Deus may be your better choice as it has a notch feature, perhaps that will help combined with the Xy screen.
Question, with the stock Xpdeus with a black coil, what setting will help reduce EMI induced noises. Power lines and wifi boosters are causing sparky signals.
Frequency shift is your best answer, also lower your TX power to 1.
Don't run your sensitivity to hot.
@@The-skillschool I did watch your video on EMI settings, followed your tutorial and ended up at 50 for sensitivity with TX at 1.
Wow that sounds like you have really bad EMI, what coil are you using. PM me your e mail pls we need to try some more adjustments.
Deus video to help with depth please I use your ultimate program but on a the last day out couldn’t get deeper the 4 inch with standard 11 inch black coil
Soil conditions very often determine depth.
Sometimes it's out if our control.
How about a video Describing the different updates. Pris cons etc
