Brilliant Finds! Metal Detecting UK 2021 and XP Deus Settings for Pasture

- Another Brilliant Day's Metal Detecting UK 2021 finding silver coins, medieval jettons and early buckles amongst other things; the highlight being an Edward III groat in great condition, all found with the XP Deus metal detector (I use the XP Deus Lite). And I found some great XP Deus Settings for deep pasture.
It doesn't get much better than this! And It was good to get out and about in the Great British Countryside participating in one of the great outdoor hobbies, metal detecting for lost treasure! Sadly I had to leave Tasciovanus (my trusty Jack Russell Terrier) behind as I was quite near a main road and need to be very careful with him at the moment but brought him out a bit alter on the pasture
I haven’t given too many XP Deus tips or tips for metal detecting for beginners in this video but please feel free to leave a comment if you need to pick my brain over anything, especially if you are learning to use the XP Deus Lite.

Yes, so funny! Its so odd; when I am editing these things I don't notice what he is up to at all as I am concentrating on camera angles, colour, sound, etc I only see his capers when i watch the whole thing back usually after publishing! Hi Alexander. I tend not to follow to many videos, they can be a bit to predictable and just about finds. Yours my friend are easy watching and you can tell you get in the zone with your XP with a touch of technical information. Your two fields are very similar to 2 of mine. 👍👍

Alex, I too found Edward III hammered groat a couple of weeks back, quite heavy like yours as well!! Researching for date is a joy, almost as good as the actual detecting. There are so many variations to be had on these silver coins, so to pin down an accurate date takes some doing. ATB.

looks a great field and easy digging.
a good tip for the mic on your earphones is wrap a small bit of sponge around it to cut out the wind noises. I like the look of the woodland too.

@@HolzHammerSagas I use a cheap plug in mic I got off ebay which has one of those muffler sponge heads on it. I think they are called lapel mics like TV presenters use. nothing special. hopefully one day I can move onto wireless mics if I decide to use camera shots like you do.
if you check out South Coast detecting, Arron on there just uses a set of phone earphones and just wraps a sponge around it. it works a treat 🙂👍

Hi Julie and thanks for the comments - much appreciated! You've got to be a certain type of person to not mind knocking on farm doors - I can't do it either! I'm lucky with mine but well worded letters should do the trick - keep trying and try not be too shy there are loads of farms around you will get one soon - maybe take the letters round in person... you have 10 times more chance of being allowed on someone's land being a polite girl I promise!!!... you can come and have a go with me when I'm up one day ( near Henllan) but there's not much there! Hope all well

on a clean file like that i would go for the DEEP program..
Thanks Kurt I think you are right… I naturally rather avoid the deep programme with the lite set up as there is no way you can change the tone breaks without the remote so all low conductors including coke sound good and with no remote to help differentiate I find it a bit maddening! But in this field it would be a good option, as so little of that there, I will give it a go - hope all well!

Why don’t you lower reactivity to 1 ?
Have you tried reactivity of 1 Steve? I don't like going below 2.5 with the Deus 1 but thats probably personal... the lower the reactivity the slower the recovery speed between different targets that are close to each other... Hope all well

@@stevehickman6070 2.5 is the best and def gives a bit more audio punch which I like so I keep it that way even if it’s loads of targets on the surface!
