When Martin and Diana’s biology teacher is forced into “early retirement” because of the unorthodox/non-Torrington approved experiments he was performing in his lab, Martin is completely thrilled - maybe they’ll finally get some new blood (preferably of the female variety) to teach the class. Diana, however, is sad - she liked the gentle old guy, even if he was eccentric. Diana catches up with Mr. Black in the Torrington parking lot to say goodbye. However, when she talks to her teacher, she’s disturbed by what she finds - a very angry, very bitter Mr. Black. And when Torrington’s faculty and staff start to go missing, she starts to grow suspicious. Diana does a little investigating and discovers that Mr. Black has, through a bizarre lab experiment, turned himself into a half-man/half-spider! To get revenge against those who ended his career, he’s “gathering” people and trapping them in a giant web in his basement! In a b-story, Martin and Diana have to deal with their new substitute biology teacher - M.O.M.!
