In a teaser, we see Martin chasing a weird worm-like creature as it burrows its way across campus. He’s finally able to catch it and put it into a small containment unit. Meanwhile, back at school, Principal Pebbleton tells Martin that his failing grades are becoming an issue. Martin is about to laugh off the problem like he normally does, until he realizes his father (Gerard) has been called in to discuss. Martin tries to convince his father that he’s a serious student, and that the failing grades are just a minor setback… but when Gerard goes back to Martin’s room and discovers Martin’s secret lab, he’s had it! Thinking the paranormal is complete hogwash, Gerard sends Martin to a military school on the other side of the country where he’ll be “far away from distractions.” Back in Martin’s room, as Gerard starts to gather up Martin’s personal items, he finds the containment unit with the weird worm in it. He opens the container… and is promptly swallowed whole! Diana watches in horror as the worm burrows into the ground and disappears. Martin must save his Dad and save his career as a paranormal investigator. In a b-story, Martin deals with his academic woes... and the fact that his father has discovered his secret!
