    I was intrigued by the idea of journals, but I didn't care for the cluttered style that I saw in most videos. I like your clean and simplistic style.

    Amazing! What a fabulous way to use fabric. I would imagine you can do paper napkins as well. What a great tip. Imagine taking a baby onesie or baby’s clothing and making a memory book, or part of a wedding dress or colored fabric to match the colors of the wedding theme… so many possibilities.

    Oh. My. Goodness! When you mentioned using fabric from your Father-In-Law who had passed a light bulb went off !!! My mom passed away in 2008 and a year or two ago my dad gave my sister (who lives close to him - I’m on the opposite coast) my mom’s wedding gown to “create” with. She sent me large pieces but I didn’t know what to do with it yet but now … I’ll laminate it and create a Travelers Notebook and/or journals for myself and my three daughters. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    Lolly, this is ingenious! I would never have thought of laminating fabric, and now I'm going to pull out my box o' scrap fabric and give it a try! I just love this idea! Also, I was today years old when I found out that my Crop-A-Dile has a locking feature! Thanks so much for your very informative video. I really appreciate the detail that you put into all your videos. I've laminated paper and had the deep "air" pocket but I didn't think it could be fixed, so now I "need" a flat iron. LOL! Again, Lolly, thank you for sharing your genius with us and for making sure you cover every detail.

    This is great! Such an informative video, as usual. I will give this a try sometime. I would like to say that I really didn't know the hand held crop a dile had a lock, so good to know. Also, my youngest son heard me expressing how lovely your crop a dile was so he made sure it showed up for my Christmas gift. I love it. I already had the big mouth but there are times I don't really need that one and the hand held has been perfect. Thanks for sharing this, *Debbie*

  • @ImGinaMarie
    @ImGinaMarie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you want to try something a slight bit different and maybe save some laminate try putting 2 pieces of fabric the exact same size taking care to match up wrong sides together and place in pouch put all pieces you want laminated in the pouch using the same method. After running through the laminator cutting pieces out only 1 side will be laminated instead. It still gives the facing surface protection and the wrong side is not but you can also glue a pocket to the wrong side or embellish however you want... Its nice to make card stock this way to for journal covers or notebooks. You get the front and back done with 1 sheet of laminate on 1 side..just an idea

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do that with card stock. My only concern with fabric is that it will make it much thicker of a laminate, making it slightly harder to get a good seal. Also, I'm not sure how well it will continue sticking to the fabric once separated. With paper it works most of the time, but not all -- it can still separate. I suppose fabric type makes a huge difference.

    • @ImGinaMarie
      @ImGinaMarie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LollyPalooza yes, that possibly could happen but with a scrap of fabric it might be worth a try...I think maybe the sizing could be a hinderance in this case as well...

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main problem with thick fabric is that if it feeds through the machine (which it might not), it's too hard to get a good seal around the fabric. You could try with a piece of denim of the same thickness before risking your treasured fabric.
