From the early 80's. up into the 90's, I was involved with HRE Performance Wheels, and the short lived HRE Suspensions. In all those years, I was never involved with SEMA except for setup and/or tear down and got to loathe SEMA week. Nowadays knowing how the sausage is made has left me less than excited to attend. Awesome to see you having fun though.
Right there with you on the Camaro! Dream car since I was a little kid is a 69’ Camaro SS/RS with the hideaway headlights, blue with the white stripes.
I'm only 50 and thought "nice Pontiac". I second guessed myself when he said Buick. And by the way, it's not a Nomad if it's not a Chevy. I have a little Pontiac knowledge so without google I'll say it's a Safari of some sort.
It is a very cool build, and I have enjoyed watching the videos on Clay's channel. But Hydrogen? Nah I have to leave it off the list because of that. There is literally nowhere within 800 miles of me that has a hydrogen filling station. And the closest one is in Canada.
Great video! Love the full size RC-10. I was 33 when i got mine for Christmas. I spent the next 2 months carefully putting it together. My favorite part was being able to dye the nylon parts the color of your choice.
So a pink drift build is the next project I take it? Nice list guys! SEMA gets so much hate, much of it warranted - but there's still PLENTY of legitimately incredible builds, and most of them don't get enough attention.
The Dodge Charger Daytona and the Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird street cars and race cars had those fender mounted scoop things. It was for tire clearance on the racetrack.
Hey thanks for the show, I really enjoyed this... Feel free to invite me to go next time .. I try to get in every year but I never make it in, I been hanging with the wrong people...
I couldn't agree more with your number one pick. I love those old Yotas. I had that same yr. But I 20r 5speed swap and raced circle dirt track with her. I didn't really know later on how mad at myself for doing it,but I had a Fn blast.
10:43 im not much of a 57 cheveolet guy but i admit to having a weakness for these cars done in this color or like the one done in Hot Rod years ago in that orange/red color. I think its the red dash and the red/black seats that really make me think someday...if i hit the lottery. And it wouldn't be even in the first 50 cars i buy/build with those millions. But id eventually make room for one.
I absolutely love 61 Impalas, but that hood!... It's so uttbugly and unnecessary that it actually makes the window in the C6 ZR1 hood seem like a good idea!
I’m not a huge fan of brodozers-mostly because of the way they’re driven. Done right, there’s a huge amount of engineering going into them, and I can appreciate that. If only they weren’t always driven to intimidate people in small cars like me. A gearhead is a gearhead, but dick drivers can bite one.
I see you have good taste. That convertible beetle got a lot of attention. Which is weird for SEMA. Vdubs don't get a lot of love, so I'm glad that blue vert got some respect. I actually own a 1965 convertible beetle. It's a heap right now, but maybe one day it will be SEMA worthy? jaaa probably not, I don't think I would want to own something that nice. I would be too scared to drive it.
Love the Volkswagen bug at the beginning of the video I would totally drive that suburban with Dooleys loved it also seem practical those jacks that guy was demonstrating. I am interested and that’s how far I’ve gotten the video so far. I’m glad one of those videos where you actually comments, I cannot watch those videos where people just show stuff doesn’t make sense to me
Gonna go w/ Joe's pick on the Olive Green '69 Trans-Am style Camaro ~ as for Traditional Hot Rod, the '34 California Kid 'Pete & Jakes' pickup. I loved the Black Buick Grand National(?) and the next shown, 90s Red Toyota 4x Truck - all Awesome clean builds. And though not shown - the Gas Monkey Pano roof OBS Chevy truck- not surprised to see a Pano Roof on factory Chevy trucks next few years
I saw that slammed C10 out front also. Beautiful. My favorite era of GM trucks and their best ones imo. Glad ya found that crazy Impala out front with the engraved blower, fuel injection, etc. That thing is crazy sick! Sharks with freakin laser beams 😆 Loved the California Kid booth. I couldnt believe they were there. I actually asked the guy - Are these the real California Kids? 😆I remember when they did these. Super iconic for sure! Cant ever go wrong with a C2 Vette. Would absolutely love to own one of these. Will never happen though, six figure cars easily 🙁The Buick Grand National is one of my dream cars along with a LS6 Chevelle and of course a Vette. The 2 GNs they had here were both sick and very well done for sure. Little bit more than 245 HP in both of em 😆Yup, the C4 was great other than the Mercedes motor. 😡Travesty! 😁Probably my favorite one of the show was the red Impala inside right by the main aisle. The one that was fully painted, detailed top to botom front to back on the mirror display. That one was just stunning, beautiful, amazing. Soooo much time, effort, work, paint. I was at this one for a while just trying to take it all in. 🤯😳👍🤘🤘🤘
We rode the plane out from Atlanta with Joe and even met your video editor and discussed using davinci resolve for videos. But somehow in all that we still missed seeing you 😂😂😂😂
Those jacks!!!! I've got two cars in my garage and when I need to jack one-up, I have to angle the jack so I can swing the handle and not hit the other car, or the wall. Great idea! Hate to know the price though.
Wow! You showed a shot of a saltflat car built Rad Rides by Troy. I used to live 5 min from his shop Illinois. I remember reading about it in Hot Rod and seeing it on TLC's Rides.
Electric jack, for when your garage is so tight and you're taking the wheels off your project for the nteenth time and you smash the end of the jack handle into the paint on unfinished project right next to the one you're working on. Not a bad concept.
What’s up Passed you at SEMA Busy week The shop where I work brought eight full builds plus others Like 0:36 The blue pickup Built and owned by one of the metal fabricators at our shop I’ll tag them as I see them 👍👍
I’ll add something else about those electric jacks. Sometimes in a packed garage you’re worried about your jack handle hitting something else or even sometimes the handle hitting the car you’re working on. I’m not saying they’re on my wishlist, just something to think about.
Great point. In my 2 car garage, when lifting my Uplander work van (204") with my 3 ton jack, I have to open the door to the house for the jack handle to clear lol
@ I hear you, I’ve been in this spot many times too. 2.5 car garage with several projects going at a time cars, trucks, motorcycles, parts and trying to deal with a jack handle.😂
My first RC car was an RC10 at 12 yrs old. I worked (cough cough) at the local hobby shop at 12 so I could buy it. I became sponsored through the shop and raced locslly as i worked my way through so many rc cars and trucks until real cars and insurance took over. The Dominator was my last car I had that I raced.
Thank you so much for coming by and checking out my Toyota pickup! Really appreciate you including it 🙏🏻
Take a shot every time Joe says "stunning".
And I thot my thot wuz original...
Great minds and stuff.
😀
No worse than the many English who use Brilliant to describe everything lol
Nice picks, I did the interiors on that 51 Henry J Ute, 57 Pontiac Safari wagon & the blue 32 roadster behind the Dutch brothers gnx.
Thanks for taking us around the show Mike and Joe, some great vehicles for sure.
Hey Joe the “Buick” wagon was actually a Pontiac Safari wagon. ✌️
Joe! You have great taste! As a long time
Ford fan, welcome to the club! I loved everyone of you picks! Finn's picks were great too. 😉
1; Nomad 2; 69 Camaro 3; Baja Bug 4; 4x4 orange International 5; Ronin Datsun Worst; Camaro/Mustang thing That Nomad station-wagon was gorgeous
Love that you guys call out unfinished items.
LET THE GOOD TIES ROLL !! FINNEGAN IS ROCKIN' SEMA 2024 !!!
Yoooooo Jason Ferron and the BarraWagz are sick!
From the early 80's. up into the 90's, I was involved with HRE Performance Wheels, and the short lived HRE Suspensions. Mornin!
Thanks!
Sipping coffee just before the blower install, on a chilly Sunday. Yess!!
Nice view to the Sema 2024. Thanks for that. Greetings from Germany.
Speed academy has a good one too
I kinda like the cars that aren't finished, it's cool to see something mid build and I feel you can really appreciate the work being poured into it
Low profile tires on lifted trucks will never not look stupid.
I think huge rims and super low profile tyres looks dumb on most old cars
JOE that's a Pontiac Safari Wagon NOT a "Buick Nomad" 🤣
That grand national tho!! Wow. My #1 bucket list car
Right there with you on the Camaro! Dream car since I was a little kid is a 69’ Camaro SS/RS with the hideaway headlights, blue with the white stripes.
Thats a Pontiac Joe, not a Buick
11:35 for reference
I'm only 50 and thought "nice Pontiac". I second guessed myself when he said Buick. And by the way, it's not a Nomad if it's not a Chevy. I have a little Pontiac knowledge so without google I'll say it's a Safari of some sort.
It's not a Buick, Joe...... It's a 57 Pontiac Safari wagon...
The lutz and millican 57 chevy has GOT to be one of my top 5.
It is a very cool build, and I have enjoyed watching the videos on Clay's channel. But Hydrogen? Nah I have to leave it off the list because of that. There is literally nowhere within 800 miles of me that has a hydrogen filling station. And the closest one is in Canada.
@@jdinnisyou what has hydrogen in it that's everywhere....... Water.. good old H2O

*Stunning*
33:35 That Porsche color is called Ruby Star.
Dog dick pink 🐕
also called Ruby Stone
Great video! Love the full size RC-10. I was 33 when i got mine for Christmas. I spent the next 2 months carefully putting it together. My favorite part was being able to dye the nylon parts the color of your choice.

Nice list guys! SEMA gets so much hate, much of it warranted - but there's still PLENTY of legitimately incredible builds, and most of them don't get enough attention.
Thanks for jumping in the wagon! Lets us know if you need help with the drift car :)
Hey Joe your narration was stunning!
The Dodge Charger Daytona and the Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird street cars and race cars had those fender mounted scoop things. It was for tire clearance on the racetrack.
Sorry Joe But that Buick wagon isn't Its a Pontiac Safari wagon
Without knowing exactly what it was it definitely wasn’t a Buick no ventiports
Buick made a wagon?
0:26 Hey that's us! Thanks for stopping by our crazy little Datsun.
The live comments and chuckles were fun.
Haven’t been to sema in a few years but we got to meet Ken Block and got his signature rest in peace my dude
Hey thanks for the show, I really enjoyed this... Feel free to invite me to go next time .. I try to get in every year but I never make it in, I been hanging with the wrong people...
Joe got to go drifting in the Barra Wags 😍 No way! That's crazy cool 👌
Here is a preview of the next group of "Sema show car" heading to the Barrett Jackson and mecum auctions
Well yes, most people with businesses build cars to sell them
I couldn't agree more with your number one pick. I love those old Yotas. I had that same yr. But I 20r 5speed swap and raced circle dirt track with her. I didn't really know later on how mad at myself for doing it,but I had a Fn blast.

Rutledge Wood's JZ Hilux is awesome!
I STILL have an RC10GT with the original box. nice throwback.
I absolutely love 61 Impalas, but that hood!... It's so uttbugly and unnecessary that it actually makes the window in the C6 ZR1 hood seem like a good idea!
Mike, it was great to speak with you in the hall of the MGM. Hope you had a good trip back home. - Morgan
Thanks for showing #TwinSnailMail some love!
Do you know it?
@indica_dogo868 yes I know it quite well. I built it!
Those huge trucks with a lot of chrome and colors everywhere are so unoriginal
I thought those were the unfavorable 2000s thing
I've never liked those things
I’m not a huge fan of brodozers-mostly because of the way they’re driven. Done right, there’s a huge amount of engineering going into them, and I can appreciate that. If only they weren’t always driven to intimidate people in small cars like me. A gearhead is a gearhead, but dick drivers can bite one.
Yes because no one is paying to have them built.
That's just Sema every year lately. Filled with useless lifted trucks and ATVs with loud train horns. It's their Sema recipe 😂😂😂😂😂
That electric jack looks sick!
Absolutely Stunning
New drinking game. Take a shot every time Joe says “Stunning “.
Sorry Joe. That was a Pontiac version of the Nomad.
My Jeep Comanche is at the beginning of the video next to the bubble top! I saw you guys but didn't wanna bug you. Big fan though. Cheers.
Hello cool video, not 100% sure but the multicoloured charger is the Joe dirt car from the movie, or at least a copy of it.
It is the real one
I enjoyed this video. When you were walking around the hall my son and his wife were in the video.. we had several builds there…
I wish I could hit the like button every time Mike and Joe made me laugh lol
I see you have good taste. That convertible beetle got a lot of attention. Which is weird for SEMA. Vdubs don't get a lot of love, so I'm glad that blue vert got some respect. Missed you at sema Finn. This was my second one. Great show!
Gonna go w/ Joe's pick on the Olive Green '69 Trans-Am style Camaro ~ as for Traditional Hot Rod, the '34 California Kid 'Pete & Jakes' pickup. The OBS looked great in person
Good show this year
Next year, HoverRound rental!

I live in Las Vegas but I haven’t been able to get to SEMA yet…….but at least I have a cool daily driver 😎
always one of the best shows to attend in vegas
SEMA looks amazing an mind blowing all wrapped in one!!! 😎
OMG that Datsun B-210 at 28 seconds. I learned to drive stick on a B-210. So want.
The Lutz/Millican 57 tops my list.
Sod the chevy wagon dude. GET THE CADDY Done guys..wow...✌️👍🇬🇧
Joe remember you’re a petrol head it doesn’t matter about a badge or what it is as long as you can appreciate and admire it
#STUNNING. Joes drinking game
The Optima Ultimate Street Cars at @33:03 are super rad. Wish Mike & Joe would have looked at those.
We rode the plane out from Atlanta with Joe and even met your video editor and discussed using davinci resolve for videos. But somehow in all that we still missed seeing you 😂😂😂😂
Lots of really cool cars , thanks for posting
Those jacks!!!!
I've got two cars in my garage and when I need to jack one-up, I have to angle the jack so I can swing the handle and not hit the other car, or the wall. Great idea!
Hate to know the price though.
Someone needs to do a detailed video interview of that Toyota pick up truck with no bed. I want to hear more about that truck.
I hope you're up for crazy ideas. Y'all should build a shortie bus gasser. Just a fun idea!!!
Amen, the hat tilt to the RC roots! Amen, salute
Wow! You showed a shot of a saltflat car built Rad Rides by Troy. I used to live 5 min from his shop Illinois. I remember reading about it in Hot Rod and seeing it on TLC's Rides.
Holy crap!! I had one of those. Had to work all summer to save up for it
Great video guys. If you look up the Joe dirt charger you’ll see they started with a beautifuly restored car and made it look like a beater!!🤘🏼🦅🇺🇸
Just watched that last night for the first time and thought what a waste of a car lol
@ around 12 min... that pair all flamed out would be in my top 3.❤❤
Man I'm jealous, you had a team associated and had the old turbo bandit! I still had fun with it though
You gotta paint the caddy that Blue colour that was on that Beetle 👀😧🔥👌. The body lines would look outrageous in that Blue
I rarely visit the channel these days, but 'Sarah-N-Tuned' complimented Mike's truck build in her SEMA walk through
Oh no way i wasn’t expecting to see the BARRAWAGZ!!
Joe, with all the things that were stunning you, I’m kinda worried about the long-term effects of CTE…😂
Electric jack, for when your garage is so tight and you're taking the wheels off your project for the nteenth time and you smash the end of the jack handle into the paint on unfinished project right next to the one you're working on. Not a bad concept.
I hope you guys build a drift wagon, that will be awesome!!
69 Camaros are the only car that it doesn’t matter how many times it’s been done, they always looks amazing and are badass
I love that DeLorean
I love that Porsche with the orange stripe the most
Noice !!! thanks Mike and Joe...🤙✌
loved joes and fins picks fun video
I totally agree with you on the rc 10 life size car being awesome
What’s up
Passed you at SEMA
Busy week
The shop where I work brought eight full builds plus others
Like

The blue pickup
Built and owned by one of the metal fabricators at our shop
I’ll tag them as I see them 👍👍
Bluetooth driveshafts 🥰 😅. And SEMA ready builds 😅😅😅😅. Made my day 🥰
Some beautiful cars cars some wtf were they thinking. Your caddy would steal the show.
69 camaro
Grand National
Pink toyota pickup
Are my picks...thank you for great coverage
I’ll add something else about those electric jacks. Sometimes in a packed garage you’re worried about your jack handle hitting something else or even sometimes the handle hitting the car you’re working on. I’m not saying they’re on my wishlist, just something to think about.

Electric jacks without handles have existed for a long time. That roadtek one is just another chinese gimmick IMO.
#1 car youve shown 14:39
Weld the power jack to a truck frame for insta lift
That pink 3rd gen yota is legit !!!!
There was a full green carbon fiber ford truck, mid engine conversion. It was amazing.
That is two funny of Joe two have two hats
STUNNING!!!!!😂
