Wow, your tips were all in point. I'm currently remodeling both my bathrooms and the white classic look has always been my favorite, as far back as childhood. You can always accessories with color towels and soap dispenser or a vase with flowers.

A home decorating pro told me to match my vanity color and countertop to the ones in my kitchen for better resale value. Is this really necessary? I want to keep my kitchen cabinets but do something different in the bath for shower tile, grout color, flooring, and wall color. Also, do my two bathrooms have to match?
Hi Tom, I’m so sorry, I missed seeing your comment! You’ve probably moved on but no, they don’t need to match the kitchen. Ideally kitchen and bathroom cabinets are the the same style (eg all shaker or all raised panel cabinet doors). The bathrooms do not have to match each other. Again, you want continuity so the same style is preferred but colors can vary.
I found this video to be very helpful. However, I don't like the look of the subway style. I love the "marble" or "marble look". What do you think about Zellige tile? Would that be considered a timeless or a trendy tile?
Subway tile is the ugliest tile ever invented. Reminds people of a public restroom or the bathroom scene from the movie Saw. How in hell did it comeback in fashion. I disagree about the oak/maple cabinet look. That white look on the cabs is great until it goes out of style and that wooden look makes a comeback.
These 'timeless' looks came across as tacky and old fashioned. Like some horror show from the 80s. I'm not sure Americans are really qualified to advise on style, Europeans do it so much better.

Yes, you would have a pallet to decorate with whatever colors you enjoy, and depending on the season, you can do many, many things.

It's a trend but the look will hold up if you do Zellige in white, off white or cream. It's a good alternative to subway tile if the budget allows
