Chuck imported spiders from Coventry to lay the egg sacs that adorn the undercarriage at the end of the video. Joking aside, I really appreciate the way you document your conservation efforts.
Gotta say I always look forward to your video's informative and well presented,, and the voice of a calm doctor :) Remember Sir William would use what was at hand and waste nothing hence the odd bolts.
The harsh realization that not everything can be saved; true conservation is impossible beyond static display. The master craftsman takes a stroke across mona lisa: it's as good as it gets, but still looks out of place.
makes sense on aftermarket exhaust brackets being incorrect due to shipping and handling in the warehouse , when we used to get bell exhaust systems we would re-package them as everything would be bent and dented
Hi Chuck, Another superb informative video ensuring all these small details are not lost in the passing of time. Can you help? Are the lugs in the sides of the middle silencer assembly at the same width appart, or are the rear pair closer together to allow for the converging floor rail box sections? I have just bought a supposedly 'as original' mild steel system from Jaguar Classic and these lugs are the same width? I feel sure they should be slightly closer together at the rear, unless the rubber mounts are different thicknesses to allow for the converging floor rails? Any help very much appreciated. All the best. Andy
Hi Chuck . As we all know , the're only original once but sometimes we have to compromise . Terrific work . Thanks Chuck
Panel beater extraordinaire, treasure hunter and now museum curator. So much enjoy watching you work.

I hope you’re doing a book as you go along. The blog always was a great read too.
