When I was in my early 20s I was getting debilitating UTIs on a monthly basis for 9 months. My mother heard somewhere that UTIs can be caused by a pathogen in the bowel. So I did a bowel cleanse: 2 rounded tsp psyllium, 1 tablespoon chlorophyll and 2 tablespoons aloe Vera juice in a glass of water every morning for 2 weeks. After that, no more UTIs for more than 20 years
That's what appointments are for. We are NOT an interruption in their day. We are their job 9to5. People with worse problems also get appointments. CHILL Doc!
No doctor should ever make a patient feel like their pain means nothing. Thank you for pointing this out! People experience this kind of treatment far too much. Thank you for this video! ❤
Many years ago i went out with a guy who had LONG HAIR long story short ,i kept getting irritation down there ,went to clinic for months ,drs could not find anything wrong ,until the day a new dr examined me the dr say have you got COIL ? i said i was on the pill at that time ,he pulled out a strand of LONG HAIR on the cotton swab ???? it was CUTTING INTO MY CERVIX LIKE A CHEESE WIRE the dr said / ,i believe i have scarring from it ? and i get UTIS more frequently now i am now menopausal its a nightmare ,i was told the more UTIS you get the scarring leaves little groves where the bacteria can stick to the bladder wall etc always drinking water and cranberry Mannose etc its like God played a joke on us women with a short urethera smh / i used to tell the joke i have had a hair up there but not a rabbit ??? got to keep your sense of humor with this otherwise you would cry , i believe the hair was on the sheets and my man delivered it up into me during intercourse's /yep this is 100 per cent true ,make sure your bed is always HAIR FREE XXXps very rare this happens but drs were starting to think i was a nut job till they found it x your body knows when something is wrong x
It is becoming more and more clear to me that women’s health is sadly not prioritized as it should be. This is just one example of many. Thank you for using your platform to share your story. 💗
It's not just womens' health; it's all health. Today's doctors are 9-5 workers owned by hospitals. I'm older and in faily good health except hiblood pressure and arthritis that is slowly stealing my life because of relentless pain. Chronic Hypertension; my doctor has NEVER TAKEN MY B/P- EVER! She never questions her incompetent staff who take my B/P with a machine and cuffs that don't fit. We are no longer patients; we are "product lines."
As a man who has had 5 UTI’s, I can sadly say this is true. Because such few men get them and it is mostly a woman’s problem, there is little research on it and my doctors are just puzzled about the whole nature of them.
Your comment got to me because I was so excited searching for an ancient book that belongs to my religion and culture about the pregnant and postpatrum health. It was wholesome and cohesive and focused on us. I looked for it everywhere and only found summaries left of it even though I wanted the full thing. So I asked the publishing houses why did they summarize. They said we ommitted the parts that are not important. I was thinking that they are nothing in comparison to the original writer but I took what I got. Guess what? The only parts eliminated were about us the women and the only parts kept was about baby health.
Everybody who is feeling like this now, please check on your Gut health, frequent UTIs mostly occur due to disrupted gut microbiome, working on your gut health is most important, hope you get well soon!
@@suzy7773 stopping chronic antibiotic use is part of it. You can replace with herbal antimicrobials and anti fungals. I would find a doctor to guide, esp if you have kidney infection- don't mess w that. You can also eat probiotic and prebiotic foods, cut out refined sugars, take gut healing herbs.
These are great tips! Thanks. I came for the D-mannose info, and wanted to add to your list: not only should we (female) take a shower prior to s*x, our partner should also shower prior to the act. The bacteria present on our partner's genitals can easily rub off onto our urethra opening during s*x. My gyno told me this years ago, and it was a lifesaver!
Your story has helped the UTI community more than any doctor or book by uniting all of us via this video. My relief: always have AZO pain meds with me (even when traveling). Until it kicks in, I use a warm sits-bath, LaMaze breathing, counting and distraction (like reading all 1,800 comments for this video). My doc has antibiotic refills for me. I've had 50 UTI's, since I was 7. I'm learning to stay hydrated, shower, avoid perfumes, avoid the No-No drinks (wine, soda water, caffeine drinks), avoid tight pants and make sure my husband showers daily. Best of luck and healing to all UTI survivors. Thank you to everyone for all your comments. p.s. Susan, I knew your video would be a good when you made the joke about the yellow shirt. Laughter is a great medicine.
D-Mannose saved my life. I would get reoccurring UTI's all the time and it was such an annoying process to constantly go to the Urgent care to be prescribed antibiotics which never worked. D-mannose is natural and helps maintain urinary tract health.
I am a RN, & I am telling you that you did an EXCELLENT job on this video! I have struggled with UTIs, & have been made to feel by doctors that my problem did not really matter. When you find someone who truly cares, stick with that doctor! I will mention that, while going through menopause, my UTIs increased until my GYN put me on vaginal estrogen which I use once a week. (I did not want to take oral estrogen.) This estrogen has been a game-changer for me!
@@mcd4039I agree. I've gone to 4 women ob/gyn and they have been no help. They have made me feel worse about what I've been going through. So frustrating.
I had chronic UTIs much like you describe. To stay ahead of them I took D-Mannose daily and drank water until it practically made me nauseous. What finally chased the UTIs away for good was eliminating all added sugar from my diet. (I still eat fruit). In fact it only took three days without sweets, and I no longer felt the familiar UTI symptoms. I have now been off sugar for seven months and plan to continue it indefinitely.
@@kayleestoudt632 I stopped eating cookies, cake, no soda and definitely no candy -- basically I stopped eating sweets. I still have fruit but don't go overboard with them. This solved the problem for me. I hope it helps you too. Good luck!
I've felt so alone in my struggle with reoccurring UTIs for years and this video made me feel not alone for the first time in regards to this issue. Thank you so much for sharing!
Anyone struggling please read: I know this may not apply to all, but I’m sure someone will read this and I’m hoping it will help. I had reoccurring utis a ton in my teenage-through my first year in my 20s. Then they stopped all of a sudden and I didn’t have any health issues what so ever for the next several years. All of a sudden starting in November of 2021, I began experiencing symptoms that felt like a uti. I had to pee frequently and when I did it hurt. I had a burning sensation in what I thought was the vaginal area almost constantly and at times it would “flare up” and get worse. I was treated twice at a family clinic with antibiotics since based off of my symptoms the doc assumed it was a run of the mill urinary infection as well. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and my pain was getting worse. Now it was every single day and at the worst of it I felt as though there was a thousand fires ripping and stabbing my insides apart and I found it mentally very hard to cope. I started to lose my grip on reality trying to deal with this pain. I found a womens clinic and started going in at least once a week to have them look inside me and tell me I had a cyst. We thought this was the problem. Fast forward again and my pain at that point was so bad I was sent to the ER screaming and desperate for help. I would get extremely cold and again feel like my body was being ripped in two. I was discharged after they found no trace of infection in my urine , which now had been tested over 5 times. At one point I was given the diagnosis of having Intersistial Cystitis and my worry over my life never getting back to normal became so bad I contemplated taking my life. I couldn’t bare having an incurable disease and only being 25 years old and thinking I would never live a full life again. My boyfriend thank God came in my bathroom and held and rocked me until we came up with a plan. The next day I was able to get in to see a urologist to get a second opinion I and low and behold I find out my problem wasn’t in my vagina at all but my bladder! Fast forward some more and they do a DNA urine test, something I didn’t even know existed and they find the likely culprit. Bacteria in my bladder that has been lying dormant and reinfecting me since it’s so low level it’s hard to detect but it grows and grows and could’ve overtime led to me having sepsis if it spread to my bloodstream. I am now for the last two months being treated with a bladder medication an antibiotic and several supplements that help heal the bladder. Most days I feel completely normal and some days I may still have some pain but it’s so bearable and nowhere near what it was before. This bacteria has done some serious damage so it will take time for my body to heal completely, but I am forever grateful we found out what was actually going on. My doctor says IC is extremely poorly misunderstood and it’s a shame so many women get that diagnosis because they won’t ever get the real help they need. I’m just grateful I got that second opinion, never forget doctors are only human and they have room for error too.
Me too. There is a TON of evidence in the research now that IC is actually caused by IBCs (intracellular bacterial communities). The restrictions on antibiotic prescribing is causing an epidemic of "IC" due to long enough antibiotic courses not being given to patients and causing chronic bacterial cystitis in thousands of women. Check out the Live UTI Free channel and the work of Dr. James Malone-Lee
Update: I’m going in for a cystoscopy procedure tomorrow to have them cauterize my bladder as they do not think long term antibiotics at this time will help in the time frame I was hoping for. Wish me luck everyone, I pray all of you that are struggling go and get the answers you need. We really do have to be our own health advocates. No one will do it for you ♥️
I pray you are healthy and healing. May God bless you and give you the strength to overcome! The pain is hard but Lord willing you will have health and be set free of painful days! Be strong! Praying for you!
M just 17, literally m treating it the third time. I was asked to do a test, which came out two to three days of last month I have kiebsella pnuemonia. I used the same medication I used at first. The pains died down. Not until recently last week which became worse😣😣😣the pains burns than usual, I was asked if I had sex.mhen have never had that before😖so instead I was asked to take my medications through I. V. 😞😞Now, literally it's worsen and I my self m lost about my health rn😭😭
Me too. I have been physically going through some things since March and this video really sat with me. I said the same thing, my body is telling me something. I must listen. And then I came across this video
@@susanleeving Would it because that your partner has that kind of bacteria which infects you? And because he didn’t get treated that’s why it keeps coming back to you. As men usually won’t suffer even they got the bacteria
my mom has struggled with UTI nonstop for more than 10 years. In the cold season and in the hot season, she always was sick with UTI. An old lady told her to stay with her butt in the warm water (at least 1 time/a day) with some baking soda plus to drink clay.. She never ever got UTI after this. She told this remedy to other friends and they dint know how to tank her after they got ride forever of UTI.
@@raskingdom6274 google it! You can buy online (clay powder) but not that one for the face . There is one that you can drink with water(make a mixture) and leave it to settle down for few hrs and than you can drink it
@@raskingdom6274 There are capsules that you can buy (CRANBERRY capsules). Take 3 every day and cranberry tea. Use baking soda for baths. Let me know how it works for you.
In my late 60s I ended up with a prolapsed bladder which ended up causing me to constantly have UTIs this went on for several years and I ended up with kidney disease. I finally beat the UTIs by learning how to completely empty my bladder. With a prolapsed bladder, the bladder won't completely empty on it's own. I press on it after I pee and then a lot more comes out and I do this until completely done. Then I always use wet wipes. I've not had a UTI in over a year now.
watching this as i’m currently in so much pain from my chronic UTIs that i’ve struggled with for about five years. thank you so much for this informative and validating video xxx
D-Mannose has been a life saver for me ..I suffered from UTI for 40 yrs! its been 5 yrs since I was told about it and OMG its been a blessing! Im 64 and feel better than I did when I was younger!
for how long did you take it until you got rid of uti's and do you follow a diet,or you can eat sugar, drink coffee etc ? i am asking because i tried so many medicine, but still didnt get rid of it fully and i follow diet. all of this is exhausting (((((((((
@@Gulya1012 Well..I take it like for 2 weeks in a row..one a day..then rest for a couple of days..then start again for another 2 weeks..I stopped coffee 20 yrs ago..I drink herbal teas with a bit of honey and I always put 1/2 tsp of the organic unfiltered ACV which help a lot.I do NOT use white sugar at all..its either organic honey or very little Brown sugar..Im not diabetic thank God...but I rather not do too much sugar because then it get bad again..I dont drink sodas, or eat donuts because I dont want the UTI to start up again..I try to eat as healthy as posible just to keep the UTIs under control..I also drink a lot of water ...actually thats all I drink all day bedides my herbal tea in the morning..when I drink juice I make it myself...again because I dont want it to spike up again...D-Mannose has been a blessing for me!! I started the first day with 2 pills...then one every day...I actually started feeling better in a few days.
Also look into Oregano Oil...it gets rid of candida..which is mainly then cause of it...When we have too much candida causes UTI..I cant use it due to one of my kidneys got affected because of the UTIs.. so if u suffer from any kind of kidney desease oregano oil is not good for it.
I’m SO happy I found your video. I have the exact same symptoms… so often that my body has started resisting antibiotics because I used them SOOOOOO much. I thought I was crazy when I would get dehydrated and start to get the burning pain and I instantly knew I had to drink a gallon of friggin water for it to stop. No one I’ve spoken to has ever felt that. D-Mannose has truly saved me. I had all of the UTI symptoms but my grime cultures would come back as negative for an UTI. It was frustrating, and I was tired of being in so much pain all the time. Since I’ve started using D-Mannose I haven’t had to go to the doctors for an UTI. I take 2 D-Mannose pills twice a day every day, and if I feel an infection coming in I try to double it, and it has worked every time!!! I hope this can help someone out there dealing with this. It’s horrible.
If you have high blood sugar because of type 2 diabetes or type 1 diabetes. That also causes urinary tract infections. If your blood sugar is chronically elevated at 200 or higher. Then you are at risk for urinary tract infections.
Hi, I am here because I most likely have an overactive bladder and I relate to you so much that doctors just start to treat you differently after the 3rd time coming in and them not finding anything. It’s such a miserable journey that made me feel like I am the only one battling with this and I am so annoyed that I can’t take part in daily activities as easily as everyone else, as I need to always think about my bladder and locate the next bathroom. Thank you so much for this video, for anyone reading this, know that you are not alone with this struggle ❤️
I'm CRYING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS. I do the same thing with the d-mannose, shower, and pee. I wish people would hear us. When you talked about the hell trifecta I felt your pain. There's nothing but crying, anger, pain, and horror when things ACTUALLY go down. Ain't fuckin fair. At least we can hear each other out ❤️💕💖
You are so right about the treatment from health care providers. Its a horrible feeling when you are so desperate to find a cure, so you begin to research for yourself, only to then bring up what you have learned about it with your doctor and they dismiss you immediately and get offended. They are soo insulted that we could even think we might know better for our body, when in reality we are still turning to them with appreciation but also want to work with them to really get to the bottom of it. Most of the luck ive had regarding my own sexual health and overall health has come from homeopathic remedies and research i have done myself about nutrition and diet. Most doctors have never studied one day about nutrition, which absolutely baffles me. Its not that you lose your credibility with them, its that you were confident enough to go against the status quo and take your health into your own hands by educating yourself, and once you do that they know they have lost their credibility with you.
Thanks so much sis for sharing your experience and knowledge about uti. Im currently in the process of getting rid of a uti and it can be very nerve racking especially when it's really painful. I've taken cipro and a pain relieve, hopefully it will soon be gone completely. Tfs, take care🙏🏽❤
You are amazing young lady. I’m a 71yr old Texas gramma and your video was helpful. My urologist was not helpful at all. I’m going thru this right now and it’s awful. Every 2-3 months for the last 2 yrs ago. Thank you for sharing your story and how D-mannose works. UPDATE MUST SEE 5/2023. New Urologist put me on METHENANINE HIPP 1gram twice a day(25.00)month. I am now 6 months uti free after having them every month. Encourage you to look into it and ask your dr. Also taking Ellura cranberry, culterrelll probiotic daily. Estriol vaginal cream once a week. I am so relieved.
I use uva ursai, sea salt, bladderwrack seaweed, dandelion, and comfry and use it in a sitz bath as well as a douche. Pain is eliminated almost immediately. I then use a prebiotic douche. I also take d-mannose, cranberry, and jarrow probiotics and use non smell garlic pills. I also start eating more fiber and drink tumeric shitake tea. Flush your systeam with herbs in all areas.
I have also cut back on my caffeine consumption since it is dehydrating and added much more water. I also quit bathing and take showers now. Bathing can introduce a lot of irritants from soaps and bacteria in the bath tub.
Wow. I feel you so much. I've struggled with chronic UTIs for years now, which led me down the path of understanding why my body is doing this - physically and emotionally and how to treat it without using antibiotics anymore. I used antibiotics for years and it wrecked my gut too, I didn't understand what was happening. I then went down the path of studying herbal medicine and I feel so compelled to share this because I feel it's so important to anyone struggling with this at all. Uva Ursi is an incredible herb to combat UTIs, BUT it should never be used in conjunction with cranberry (many UTI supplements contain them together) as cranberry renders the uva ursi totally ineffective. I now use Uva Ursi preventatively if I have an inkling that one is coming on, but on the onset of the UTI I've used Uva Ursi 3x a day. A super high dose of D-Mannose 3x.day. Water Water Water Water. An infusion of yarrow (antiseptic), nettle (makes you pee) and sometimes Calendula but not too much. + a 2000mg dose of vitamin C and some echinacea to up the immunity. No sugar, No carbs, No alcohol, No spicy food, No sexy times for at least 10 days. marshmallow root and the corn silk you mentioned only helps to cool the bladder i've found but won't help eliminate it. + probiotics are so so important, especially when you've been on antibiotics for ages. There's a south african plant called buchu that really helps although it's quite "hot" so I wouldn't recommend it to someone who has a burning sensation and would more so recommend it to someone with a dull pain there. I did a crazy protocol last time I had a full on UTI and went to the doctor 3 weeks later to just check if there was any bacteria left and it was non-existent. I really hope everyone else finds that there are other ways to manage this cause it's so so painful and frustrating. Thank you for this video
Thank you for posting this! My daughter (7yrs) has a chronic uti and her Naturopath suggested Uva Ursi. However we have also been using cranberry so I am glad to know they don't go together! Do you know if blueberries are fine?
Yes me too! I was made to feel very ashamed when I had my first UTI. It was humiliating, and painful. People seem more open minded about UTIs nowadays.
This video hit me right in the feels. Been struggling with chronic UTI’s since my teenage years. On top of that, the antibiotics had me battling with a chronic yeast infection for a YEAR. Plus periods, just like you said. The trifecta of suck! Dietary changes, probiotics, boric acid and d-mannose have saved me! Thank you for this video!!
@@lorenastone6085 I don’t recommend it personally. I’m prone to infection because of this and I tried it and it stung like crazy made my symptoms worse. They make lactobacilli supplements for the vagina and over all vaginal health and I take two of them every day and it has helped tremendously but I only take them orally!
I will tell ya one thing, I use to get yeast infections all the time. Once I quit taking baths and started showering ONLY, I instantly quit getting yeast infections. Just a fyi for anyone suffering from yeast infections...
If you have recurrent UTI's...go see Dr. Bundrick in Bossier Louisiana. Many people end up with embedded infection that requires longer treatment with full strength antibiotics. The usual dip stick tests and cultures are often wrong. You can have a UTI and it not show on these tests if your infection is embedded.
Thank you Susan!! I have struggled with reoccurring UTI's, bladder and kidney infections and even a constant burning sensation in that area when no infection is detected. I have been to so many Urologist's over the years. I am in constant pain. My life has really changed, I no longer go on hikes for fear of needing to use the bathroom, no sex, I can no longer enjoy motorcycle rides - they give me a UTI! Wherever I go to shop or for a meal I make sure to know where the bathroom is at. I feel like the dr I am seeing does not believe me or take my situation very serious. After my consultation was over I quietly lost my s@#$, crying like a baby out of pure frustration and left his office without a word. I apologized to his staff after I gained my composure. I truly appreciate your video and your transparency about your battle. God bless you.
You are so sweet to apologize to the doctor's staff! You have every right to cry your heart out. I never had the courage to do that. I'd just smile and pretend to be okay and thank them for their "help" 😞 I totally understand your frustrations. I hope you are doing better now!
Wow I was abstinent for 2 years, and have been getting getting UTI for the last month. 3 different medications. They return every time I have sex and the medication is over with. But d mannose has truly helped!
I just finished my antibiotic last week and I had my UTI again right now the pain of peeing just doesn't go and i felt relief watching your video because it made me feel that I'm not alone in this battle and I learned so much about you Thanks!
Im with you and im so disgust with the medications antibiotics i had the uti and when i drink tne medications i pee like a horse more i drink the more i pee morning noon and night and im now depress i felt so weak and cried for nothing and now what she is saying in this video its a truth i experience this everything she says its the truth
I've tried Burdock root tea and it has made such a difference like no pain at all immediately after drinking. I'm so sorry you have experienced so much pain. I pray it gets better
Hi, so I read your comment and ran downstairs to make some. Luckily I have an organic burdock root tea and unluckily I am current having a uti. But I just wanted to say thank you! I soaked a double bag mug for 40 minutes in boiling water and felt nothing when I went to pee. Your advice helped spare me a painless day until I was able to get antibiotics. Thank you so much 🙌🏾
I got emotional when you said you’re not alone. I have been abstinent on and off because of this and one time I have sex and my UTI is back. I also pee after sex and shower and still will get the UTI. I have suffered from BV for a year now and I have been taking antibiotics on and off for a year and now I’m on a 6 month antibiotic taking 1 time a week. I feel so alone and like there’s nothing I or any doctors could do and like I’m just stuck with this pain. I will randomly burn down there when I pee sometimes too and I don’t even have a UTI. Your video gave me hope so thank you.
I quit processed sugar and took 500mg of organic oregano oil 4x a day. Everyday, the first morning dose I took a 950 mg of fenugreek thyme. I also drank a lot of filtered water, adding ACV or raw garlic to the water to drink. All day long I made sure that if I was going to consume something, it wouldn’t feed the bad bacteria. I stayed on this regimen for 4 weeks. Week 5, I took the oregano oil 3x a day, keeping everything else the same. Week 6, I took the oregano oil 2x a day, everything else the same. The first 10 days was rough because the oil was causing a lot of die-off in my body but the UTI was massively calmed down. I felt so good after the 6 weeks. I think I eliminated many other nasty microbes as well as the bacteria from the UTI. I’m not sure everyone would tolerate the oregano oil as well as I did? I didn’t burp it up, not once. It did not hurt my stomach. This was a great body cleanse for me and I didn’t have to take antibiotics! The oregano oil was my natural antibiotic. The other thing that was awesome, was my sugar cravings went to almost zero.
Please May I know after 6 weeks did you continue to take oregano? As some articles said that it should not be lasting for over 6 weeks taking oregano. Im on my 4th week now.
@tianfan2835 I stopped the oregano oil after 6 weeks. I do take it occasionally when I feel the need for something specific. I did however, keep drinking herbal teas daily, such as boiled rosemary, bay leaf, thyme, garlic, etc. etc. Not all at once but sometimes a combo. I found fresh organic ginger for awhile and I'd make a tea from that. I never drink something that is unappetizing to me. I keep the flavor mild and enjoyable. All the garden herbs, mints, etc. offer something healing to the body. You start to crave these flavors once you drink them for awhile. I also try to watch my processed sugar intake. Another great tea to have on hand is "Organic India Tulsi True Wellness Tea Cleanse". It is an extremely bitter tea. But, I used 1 tea bag in 6-8 cups of water and drink it through out the day. I will do this until I drink all 18 servings, 1 tea bag per day. This tea brought another layer of cleaning and detox I needed. I am aware that diet feeds whatever is living within me. I am trying to keep a balance of those microbes to stay well. So after the oregano oil, find try to find some personal tricks to keep the undesirable bacteria in check.
I really hate it when doctors dismiss us. 23 years ago I was very sick and in a lot of pain for over two years and they really started treating me like I was nuts. I finally took my own oath and figured it out and eventually got doctors who not only believed me but helped me navigate until I got better. Now I'm here because I am developing a chronic UTI problem. I have new doctors because my original ones are gone or gave retired so it's like starting over. What they are doing is working only temporarily. So I'll keep them in the loop but I'll also navigate this and figure it out. You're so right we have to be our own advocates.
Its been said over and over but really thank you. Ive felt incredibly alone and stigmatised through this whole thing, for so many years, its so hard not to feel broken. It was really validating and comforting hearing from you.
Very informative. The bit at the end about how Dr's can be clueless and dismissive is so true. Going through something right now. The sooner you learn about your own body and how it works, the better it is for you when imbalances come.
Stress in the heart pouring into the bladder is exactly true. Energy in the different parts of the body can hurt us if it holds a negative or painful emotion.
Thank you so much for explaining your journey. I too had many years of struggling with UTI’s, starting with shortly after I was married in 1962 until 1980’s when I began my regime listed below. Your suggestions of making sure you and your husband were clean down there, (including hands) and peeing after sex and washing with soap and water afterwards were vital. But also every time I pee, after I wipe off, I wet a clump of toilet paper with clear water and wipe off and I always wash off with soap and water every time I have a bowel movement. This along with many prayers has kept me free from UTI’s for many years. I also used to drink tons of diet soda and after I started feeling one coming on I went off soda and basically all carbonated drinks. That was back in 2014. I just recently got a UTI (it’s been 10 years since my last one) I finished my last dose of antibiotic yesterday. (I’m 81 now) I will try implementing some of your suggestions/supplements. God bless you!
Been dealing with this for 3 years even with the dmannose, it has helped a lot but not enough. I’m so grateful for the embedded uti group on Facebook found so many people dealing with this, I work in the medical field and even I am dumbfounded cause idk who can treat this . There are a few doctors out there who actually treat this I’m finally going to see one, after 3 years
My sister says that they told women in the marines to poop, wipe, then pee. AZO has a UTI tests, and as a paraplegic, it has proven awesome. I'm now resistant to most antibiotics, and that was my worst fear. I avoid surgery foods or drinks. Thanks for the informative video. You are a good person to put yourself out there like this. 👍
5 years OMG!!! I've been suffering for almost 2 years with UTIs on & off and I'm losing my mind. What have you tried that's given you relief, even if temporary?
God bless you. I’m literally on the toilet rn with a uti and you just gave me hope! I already ordered the d-mannose online so hopefully it’ll work for me too! I’ve had recurring chronic utis for the past 3 years including peeing blood. I’ve seen specialists and tons of doctors from the ER, obgyns, and just my normal physician. No one else in my family gets utis or know what they are like so it has been a struggle trying to get people to understand. Thank you for doing gods work and sharing your knowledge and your story. It’s helping more than you know.
This was a great video. So incredibly relatable to my situation. Yours seemed a bit worse than mine, but I completely understood all that you felt. I get UTI’s quite a few times a year and I’m so sick of it. The last time I visited a doctor she scolded me saying not to hold my pee, and wipe front to back! Like…..I know that. I got over another UTI probably a couple weeks ago and I decided to purchase the AZO probiotics which seems like has been helping me so much! I also purchased bladder control because after I got over my UTI I still felt like I had to go ALLLLLLLL the time. It kept me up at night having to pee, although no pain at all. I was just going all the time, so that’s why I purchased bladder control. Pro biotics bladder control and a Whole Foods vegan multivitamin is what I’ve been taking now and I feel pretty good so far.
Cranberries are acidic, which will make a uti feel worse. I've had uti's and so forth for over 20 years, and I am 5 times urosepsis survivor. Most doctors are guess merchants, and we haven't moved forward from the same practices as from the past 20 years ago. Most women will be on a 3 day course of antibiotics unless pregnant, and as for men, it should be 7 day course. I am on 3 pills daily for an enlarged prostate. The last time I was hospitalised was in 2022 with pyelonephritis and urosepsis with a psa score of (40.3). Just to point out that not all symptoms of a uti need antibiotics unless there is a infection. Pyuria not caused by a uti, covers a lot of diagnosis would be the next case scenario. Most importantly, don't suffer in silence. Always, seek medical advice and keep pestering until someone takes notice and you are heard. Beware of the signs of sepsis (TIME).
@samkitty5894 Finasteride is a life saver! Before, I was just on Tamsulosin but didn't shrink the prostate. It just helped with bladder spasms. The methenamine hippurate is to make the urine acidic to make it work.
Recently learned that antibiotics destroy your gut health which has resulted in recurring UTI’s, yeast infections, and cyctic acne for me. Currently on my journey to heal myself, the healthy way free of antibiotics!
I use d mannose all the time . Extra if I think I'm starting a uti .I also make and take kefir and take Holland and Barrett prebiotic regularly to maintain the good bacteria in my stomach.
I am going through this right now. I am 63 years old and this is the first UTI ever. OMG it's horrible. It started last week, with the burning when I peed and having to pee constantly. I got absolutely no sleep for 3 days. I called my doctor who was booked and they told me to go to a walk in clinic which I did on Friday. They prescribed an antibiotic Nitrofurantoin 100 mg and the med that makes your pee orange Phenazopyrid 200 mg and took a urine sample. I started to feel bad again today and got the call from the doctor at the clinic that I had to change antibiotics as my urine test came back positive for another type of bacteria. I started the new antibiotic this morning. Much larger dose 500 mg every 12 hours. I am already feeling better so it's working. Thank you so much for posting your video. Very informative and I now know what meds to stock up on so I can start it immediately if I ever get one again.
Please do not self medicate. Its not necessary that the same bacteria will cause the UTI in future.Culture and Sensitivity test must be done as soon as you have the symptoms...then take the report to the doctor for prescription .If you use same antibiotic ,you will become resistant to it very soon
as a 17 year old this helped me so much I am currently going through the worst pain from a uti, my mother and sister have tried to help me but nothing they've told me to do has helped. except for this video so thank you :)
Omg I'm crying watching this, this is literally me and reading all these comments makes me feel not along I've struggled for years it's literally burning hell! I'm going through the same process with urologist, I'm hoping I get some answers after years of getting no where and dismissive of doctors it's humiliating. My current doctor put me Hiprex - Methenamine Hippurate it actually feels like it working and hope it's better for the future, need to do some research to see if I can take it with D'mannose because I haven't tried that yet, hopefully I can get it in Australia. Thank you for this video and everyone's comments here you really do feel along with this sometimes ❤
Hey let me know if you hear any information whether you can take hiprex with d mannose please let me know! Im also in Australia and use d mannose and hiprex but never knew if I could take them together
Hey I recently went back to my doctor and asked about hiprex and d'mannose together, you can take it together but hiprex will weaken the strength on the D'mannose but it's still fine to take and will work, I take hiprex twice a day religiously and take Urals when needed like after sex ect.. I also make sure I always have pure cranberry juice in the fridge and chug that also after sex lol it's not pretty but peeing, taking Urals, pure cranberry juice after sex, sort of is working for me, I still get the pain the next day but if I stick to that ritual it seems to not turn into a infection and I feel okay and the hiprex twice a day everyday is really helping only been over 1 month but I'm hopeful for the future if I take this pretty much forever or until the urologist finds anything they can do, if not then I think this is the life we have to live my doctor said it's just a weakness my body has (a painful weakness!) Hope you find a good routine and something helps 😊
So relatable! I'm in long-distance relationships and every single time in the beginning it's a shock to my body, I didn't know what was happening until I've started to visit for longer time periods. So now the routine is: first days take it easy, take d-mannose supplement + drink a lot and pee a lot, with time my body gets used to it and I can reduce supplements. Also I highly recommend checking for ureoplasma, I know that in some countries it is not in a standard check-up with gynecologists but it might contribute to UTI's
Same happening with me am feeling scare to meet him please advise me how to get ride of this whenever I meet him I am facing uti problem for months it’s hurting me a lot
@@vashposhYes, he needs to make sure his mouth is clean for oral. And if they're doing it raw, he needs to thoroughly wash his genitals and ass. At least that's what I would do for my girlfriend.
The number one thing that helped me was to CUT OUT SUGAR. Not all the time, but whenever I was vulnerable, tired, or dehydrated, and in the danger zone of those being feelings of UTI pain.
Thank you so much for mentioning the relationship, partner aspect of your UTI experience. It really hit home with me, and is very valuable info. It was a light bulb moment for me. Ty for having the courage, you helped me so much.
Hi ladies, one more thing that has been useful for me is uva Ursi tincture. One squirt of the uva ursi tincture alongside the concentrated d-mannose powder in water. Every 3-4hours. And whenever I have my meals, I crunch down one to two garlic cloves. I know it’s not the best, but between UTI and garlic cloves I choose the latter!! It WORKS!!! It builds your immunity and it kills all the horrible bad bacteria along your gut. It’s preventive. If u can incorporate it into your diet, we can live without uti. How nice!!
OMG Where have you been all my life?! I came across this video today because I am suffering from the symptoms of UTI AGAIN even though I have done every preventative steps there are including peeing before and after, washing before and after, AND every doctor's favorite advice, taking high dose of cranberry supplements. I wish I have seen this video last year when you posted it because I truly felt so alone, even though my partner was comforting me, he does not understand the frustration and the feeling of hopelessness. I know it sounds dramatic, but it's only because the multiple doctors I've gone to just laughed at my face when I told them that I have chronic symptoms of UTI, saying that "UTIs are not chronic".
"UTIs are not chronic"?!?! THAT MAKES ME SO MAD! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. That's like the OB-GYN who once laughed and told me "condoms never break" when I asked to get on birth control (which I'm not on anymore). You don't sound dramatic, you sound like someone who's in pain! I hope you are feeling better now! 💚
@@susanleeving Hiii! Yes, I finally started taking D-Manose supplements (as needed) after watching your video and I have not gotten any UTI symptoms ever since. It was really bad back then because I would get the symptoms occasionally but especially during my period which is every month.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been suffering from my first uti ever and practically dying. 😫 I can't take antibiotics because just like for you, it sets off a cystic acne break out 😖😩 your symptoms are really similar to mine, and I wasn't able to find a TH-cam video that talked about all this stoof, this isn't tmi, this is IMPORTANT HELPFUL INFORMATION. again THANK YOU SOOO SOOO SOOOO much!!!!!!!!!!!! You are literally a life saver!!!!!!
You’re a legend. Thank you. I am very surprised though that no doctor’s recommended a cystoscopy. I have had two of these surgeries in my twenties. Absolute game changer and I also take Macrodantin if I feel like a UTI is on the way. I’ve suffered since I was 11 years old, and the pain is absolutely crippling. But honestly the surgeries have made them rare now.
Hi Susan! I have a question about collection of samples… did you ever have your samples come back rejected as “mixed flora - contaminated”, and have to repeat or just not receive treatment? I just don’t know what to do anymore. I have clean hands, I do midstream, I don’t do anything weird with the sample, and it comes back like this one after another… this ongoing urinary pain (that I have any time I am NOT urinating,) is what has been happening to me the last two years I have been going through a lot of symptoms, condescending dismissive urogynecologist, waiting for referral to another, being told it’s a pelvic floor issue and not hormonal (even though I’m in perimenopause) so I can’t get any HRT that might be helpful… It really is a nightmare. And you’re right patients DO need to be their own advocate! Great video well presented with factual information, one of the best I have seen on this topic. Thanks for sharing your experiences! 💐
just got my first UTI, and luckily I have only abdominal pain. I'm also lucky that my mom is a nurse, so she was like, "start chugging water and cranberry juice." I'm on antibiotics so it should go away soon. But I'm in full prep mode to prevent any in the future, so this video really helps because doctors won't tell you squat. I think modern doctors just want you to either keep getting sick or go away because you are "annoying" them, which is awful. I hate when they dismiss your health issues as stress or imaginary.
Thanks for this honest video. I’ve had a UTI for the past 8 years. Before that, it was on and off. Only recently, with the latest antibiotics is it really bad and I think I see some blood. It’s really worrying me because I also feel pain in my lower colon when I pee. No idea why! I agree with you 100% that the partner you’re with has a great influence on your well-being and being with someone you don’t accept fully will cause some sort of problem. My next try is garlic water every morning on an empty stomach. Garlic is an amazing parasite killer so I will give it a try.
I dont think garlic will work.. itl irritate ur bladder more .apple cider gives a temp relief ..pineapple juice..lemon juice. baking soda....all spice ruins it more......
I had recurring UTI symptoms which sent me to the off hour clinic more than once. Oddly, no bacteria was found in the culture. After watching many masterclasses online I decided to do a parasite cleanse. After 30 days on a capsule which has mimosa pudica as well as the usual antiparasitic herbs I noticed that I had urinated out some small odd curved items that looked out of place. They were big enough to see and not microscopic. That was 2 years ago and I have not had any urgency, pain, or uncontrollable releases. There are very healthy parasite cleanse protocols out there that are quite inexpensive (less than the copay for dr visit).
I'm watching this in hopes of getting tips to help my elderly mother. Excellent video!! I hope you have had continued success in fighting UTIs. When you get trapped in a cyclical hell of antibiotics you can and will develop toxicity from the drugs. Seeing what a UTI can do to an elderly woman's brain is terrifying.
I have mild IC and it makes u feel like you have UTI, but you don’t. So i start D mannose and switched to cold brew coffee. Got lazy and drank regular coffee and had sugar, bam just got UTI after 2 years of UTI free. Your video is amazing, you covered so much!!!
OMG Thank you!!! Chronic UTI’s all my life and now it’s elevated to ecoli antibiotics complete rounds and feel worse. Thank you for making this video!!! I will go find the d-mannose and the AZO to help with the symptoms.
How about wild Orégano oil that’s an anabiotic and it should help with UTI and yeast infection and your kidneys. You should use the Orégano oil seven drops in your mouth or you could put it in a little bit of water and drink it and have some water afterwards for about 10 days. The Orégano oil is very strong so once you have it just have a lot of water after words. And use coconut oil mix with tea tree oil and apply on your pad and wear it that should help with the UTI and yeast infection.
Wow - thanks for some solid real answers !! I had a UTI I ignored 10 years that landing me in the emergency room and getting anabiotic shot because it went to my kidneys. I am a 65 year old woman and am incontinent, so I have worn adult diapers for years. This is a problem in that I am constantly getting UTIs. I am just now getting over one. I have had a back injury so the pain I would feel with a UTI is present all the time. I don't know I have a UTI until it is well on its way. I went on Amazon and bought UTI test strips. I paid $10 for 50 strips. They are the same kind they use in a medical setting. They are easy to read.
I did too, suffered with a horrible chronic UTI problem many years. I started taking cramberry pills and garlic pills daily, problem sol de. Is been 8 years.
so helpful; thank you. I am 80 and have had 3 painful UTI in a row, with different antibiotics that messed up my gut biome. For me, Corn Silk tea, Watermelon juice, H2O, chopped garlic as a natural antibiotic, & Parsley tea every night, helped the most. I will go buy some D-mannose and some AZO. Also "New Menopausal Years" by Susun S. Weed has become my 'wise woman' bible.
Also the Celery Juice cure helps a lot; celery juice has needed electrolytes and mineral salts that help and heal the whole body. Get the CELERY JUICE book.
Thank you very much for the attached article! I had chronic Uti, Culture was coming back positive with enteroccocus faecalis, but the antibiotics were not helping even accordingly with the Culture it should be helping. Bc of your article it help me to figure it out that I have biofilm. I got the antibiofilm ther-biotic interfase plus 4 times a day and swallowing, raw garlic, Ester C vitamin C, pure cranberry juice, and colloidal silver and in 2 weeks I feel almost is gone. I was suffering for 4 years with spasm pain on my abdomen every day! And no interstitial cystitis! When I took the antibiofilm I felt even in my mouth a lot of mucus was coming out! Omg! Thank you very much! Maybe I should do a video also for my case like you did! Bc these doctors they don't believe in biofilm!

We have NOT come as far as they try to tell us we have as far as the way doctors treat women.
@@hanoofalajmi23 oh wow, that’s very telling and sad! The mother’s health is DEEPLY connected to the baby’s health, and just as important! ❤️
the last three minutes made me cry, doctors don't take me seriously and it's so frustrating. Living in pain 24x7 is affecting my mental health.
Everybody who is feeling like this now, please check on your Gut health, frequent UTIs mostly occur due to disrupted gut microbiome, working on your gut health is most important, hope you get well soon!

I completely agree with her, doctors shouldn't make patients feel bad! I'm glad that I found her
These are great tips!

Hi I just bought D-mannose capsules do they work the same as the powder?
Is it suggested to take d mannose only after sex or everyday in general to prevent the uti?
Tried it but it didn't work for me ..
D mannose any side effect?
If the antibiotics didn’t work, was it the d-mannose that helped eliminate the uti symptoms/infection?
I am a RN, & I am telling you that you did an EXCELLENT job on this video! I have struggled with UTIs, & have been made to feel by doctors that my problem did not really matter. Does sugar Contribute To UTI
@anothyRoon Yes

In my late 60s I ended up with a prolapsed bladder which ended up causing me to constantly have UTIs this went on for several years and I ended up with kidney disease. I finally beat the UTIs by learning how to completely empty my bladder. With a prolapsed bladder, the bladder won't completely empty on it's own. for how long did you take it until you got rid of uti's and do you follow a diet,or you can eat sugar, drink coffee etc ? i am asking because i tried so many medicine, but still didnt get rid of it fully and i follow diet. all of this is exhausting (((((((((
@@Gulya1012 Well..I take it like for 2 weeks in a row..one a day..then rest for a couple of days..then start again for another 2 weeks..I stopped coffee 20 yrs ago..I drink herbal teas with a bit of honey and I always put 1/2 tsp of the organic unfiltered ACV which help a lot.I do NOT use white sugar at all..its either organic honey or very little Brown sugar..Im not diabetic thank God...but I rather not do too much sugar because then it get bad again..I dont drink sodas, or eat donuts because I dont want the UTI to start up again..I try to eat as healthy as posible just to keep the UTIs under control..I also drink a lot of water ...actually thats all I drink all day bedides my herbal tea in the morning..when I drink juice I make it myself...again because I dont want it to spike up again...D-Mannose has been a blessing for me!!

Where do you get the D-Mannose pills?
If you have high blood sugar because of type 2 diabetes or type 1 diabetes. That also causes urinary tract infections. If your blood sugar is chronically elevated at 200 or higher. Then you are at risk for urinary tract infections.
That's probably my problem 😢

The trifecta 😭 then you try and talk about it to a male doctor and theyre like “i get it” … no, you really fucking dont
Feeling like committing suicide 😞...I am on Antibiotics from past 4 months
Found this to be helpful,thankyou
Oh gosh! This is me. Thanks
Thank you. I think personal experience is a thousand times more valuable than a doctor's advice.
I’m going though this alone, this is why I found your video. Thank you!
You’re not alone honey. I am too.

Girl, thanks for sharing. Hate you've had to endure that, but your experience is probably helping thousands of ppl.
Y E S!
Excellent suggestions. Love seeing it all written out so I can take notes. Thanks
Thank you for posting this! My daughter (7yrs) has a chronic uti and her Naturopath suggested Uva Ursi. However we have also been using cranberry so I am glad to know they don't go together! Do you know if blueberries are fine?
Also, what was your crazy protocol? I am working with a naturopath but trying to learn as much as possible
What is your dosage of d mannose? Do you take it daily (every day of the year)?
How much uva ours did you take? How long? I heard it can't be used for too long... also is it just cran or also vit c than interferes w it?
Thank you for sharing!!! I always felt so alone and ashamed about this but I'm glad there's other women out there who share this same struggle.
What dietary changes did you have to take?
Did you wash with Boric acid?
@@lorenastone6085 I think she means suppository?
@@lorenastone6085 I don’t recommend it personally. I’m prone to infection because of this and I tried it and it stung like crazy made my symptoms worse. They make lactobacilli supplements for the vagina and over all vaginal health and I take two of them every day and it has helped tremendously but I only take them orally!
I will tell ya one thing, I use to get yeast infections all the time. Once I quit taking baths and started showering ONLY, I instantly quit getting yeast infections. Just a fyi for anyone suffering from yeast infections...
I’ve been abstinent for 5 years and I have been having recurrent UTI’s the entire time. 🤷🏽♀️
Never apologize for crying. You are entitled to release your feelings.
Robin, make sure you are not being exposed to a hidden toxic mold.. it can hikack your microbiome, alter ADH levels and affect your immune system.
I also going through recurrent UTI, it's really frustrating
Is it possible it's kidney or bladder stones that are small and pourus and re-infecting you? Did they culture the urine?
Am glad you finally get rid of it.
Wow I was abstinent for 2 years, and have been getting getting UTI for the last month. 3 different medications. They return every time I have sex and the medication is over with. But d mannose has truly helped!

I was just about to type Dr. Sebi UTI cures and I’m pretty sure he may recommend burdock root. Thank you for this comment
I'm going to try this too :))
@aalyih where did u get burdock root from?
I’ve heard of this. I have kidney disease too and acidic blood so I’m afraid to try this ..
@@suzy7773 I agree, you have to be careful not to cause harm with this powerful oil.
I used my homemade oregano oil natural antibiotic and organic acv with a little local honey and water. Worked well, no need for an a**hole doctor.
I am so sorry to hear of your UTI’s and being dismissed by doctors. Such great advice.
God bless you!

thank you! wonderful video. I am in the thick of it, 7 months into chronic UTI's. hoping to take charge of my own health
Hello. Is there a brand name for bladder control that you use?
Try to stop drinking and eating at least 3 hours before sleeping
What meds are you taking for BPH? And do they work?

Gurl, I'm 3.49sec into this video and wanted to thank-you for bringing us some real talk that is much needed.
Loved your straight forward approach! Lots of information given, with a great sense of humor!!

I also make sure I always have pure cranberry juice in the fridge and chug that also after sex lol it's not pretty but peeing, taking Urals, pure cranberry juice after sex, sort of is working for me, I still get the pain the next day but if I stick to that ritual it seems to not turn into a infection and I feel okay and the hiprex twice a day everyday is really helping only been over 1 month but I'm hopeful for the future if I take this pretty much forever or until the urologist finds anything they can do, if not then I think this is the life we have to live my doctor said it's just a weakness my body has (a painful weakness!)
Hope you find a good routine and something helps 😊
You are so kind to share all this intimate information. Thank You
So relatable!

It was really bad back then because I would get the symptoms occasionally but especially during my period which is every month.
cranberry jus doesnt work for me
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What kind of surgey did you go through? My doctor suggested urethera dilation.
I had urethral dilation done many years ago after a series of UTI after getting married. Solved the problem.
Thank you soooo much
This was informative and helped me ❤❤
also, if you and your partner are having sex and he has bad hygiene, it can be a factor that contributes to a women having an UTI.
I was told by a nurse if your partner sleeping around with others as well, it’s a sign too
just got my first UTI, and luckily I have only abdominal pain.
Your story is so similar to mine and it’s physically, mentally, and financially exhausting! Thank you for sharing!
I have mild IC and it makes u feel like you have UTI, but you don’t. So i start D mannose and switched to cold brew coffee. Got lazy and drank regular coffee and had sugar, bam just got UTI after 2 years of UTI free. Your video is amazing, you covered so much!!!
This is the worst painful ever 😣
I keep having UTI every month.
Thank you for sharing your story and the info.
I just got it a few days ago and omg it hurts so much I’m currently on the toilet crying it’s been 2 hours 😭
OMG Thank you!!! Chronic UTI’s all my life and now it’s elevated to ecoli antibiotics complete rounds and feel worse. Thank you for making this video!!! I will go find the d-mannose and the AZO to help with the symptoms.
Every time I have sex I get a yeast infection or UTI despite peeing after sex and cleaning after sex 😢
And use coconut oil mix with tea tree oil and apply on your pad and wear it that should help with the UTI and yeast infection.
does it helps ?
Wow - thanks for some solid real answers !! I had a UTI I ignored 10 years that landing me in the emergency room and getting anabiotic shot because it went to my kidneys.
As a result I have reoccurring UTIs... I just had 2 weeks ago and now I’m having another one so I really appreciate your video because this can be very frustrating !! what I did wrong this time was I didn’t Pee when I had to ! I held it in and I just can’t do that because that setting me myself up for another UTI!
It’s so frustrating and I miss my Coffee besides😭
You ignored a uti for 10 years ?
@@The.one.and.only.ANDREA
Oh no what I meant to say was it was 10 years ago
@@kardoyle I had a negative urine dip test at the doctor on Monday today i bought a at home uti and it was positive but I can’t get an appointment until Thursday I’m so scared it will go to my kidney ! The only symptoms I have a the urge to pee and frequent pee that’s it and my doctor said she can’t prescribe anything unless she sees me 😩
@@The.one.and.only.ANDREA oh no, that’s ridiculous. The only thing you can do is go to emergency and they will whisk you in and give you a shot of antibiotics because this is really serious and you can’t mess around with this stuff.
@@kardoyle I’m sorry to ask so many questions what symptoms didn’t you feel and how many days before it got bad
It’s impossible to juice on a regular to ensure you are keeping your kidneys healthy. Use juicing recipes that help flush and detox your kidneys!
Thank you for your comments. They are helpful. I can't wait to try Parsley tea, Watermelon juice and check out the Susan Weed book.
Thank you very much for the attached article!
I had chronic Uti,
Culture was coming back positive with enteroccocus faecalis, but the antibiotics were not helping even accordingly with the Culture it should be helping.
