    Nice job doing the cutaway on the panel covering the motor. I'm sure the original video was full of content struggling with those two metal clips for hours

    Great video! Just replaced mine from an E83. You saved me a lot of money with your video by not going to an authorized mechanic. Cheers!

    Fantastic - I only need to remove the motor cover so that I can spray disinfectant foam into the exposed evaporator, but this is the highest-resolution video I have found on the subject👍

    Thanks for this. The absurd part to me was getting the clip back on under there in the blind spot... keeping it there while you try and get the motor back in with the other hand. It's a three hand job. And need a third eye on a stalk to see in there. Thanks though.. good job explaining..)

    i pulled it off.. blower was busted... new ones i guess.. and new FSU also weird thing is ... what causes this blower motors to burn without any announcements? shouldn't a fuse blow first before the blow motor goes out?

    I haven't read through all the comments, but when you put the fan motor back in, there are slots on the motor that hold the motor in place. The motor mount has a plastic tab and "fin" that slide into the motor. I don't know if I can get a picture on here but I would show it if I could. I changed the fan motor on a 2002 330xi, it is all but the same directions.

    Anyone else ac went out randomly? I changed the FSR nothing still, I was wondering if my module doesn’t work but it lights up I just can’t adjust the temp or fan

    How much time it took?
    I have working FSU and fine contact, but already 2nd FSU is being melted down in contacts. I heard, that it could be caused by faulty blower, what is taked too much Amps. How do you think? How I can diagnose that? I don’t want to change working blower and do this much work without being sure that it is causing this melting FSU contacts.

    So, I have a ‘00 328i that I thought the fan would be messed up, but when I tested it, the fan works, so it’s the wiring to the fans connector, anybody know any kinda fix for this?

    Can I just pull the connector and put 12v on it to test?

    Not sure what my issue is, but I cannot get the "fans" on the side (black with yellow trim and flip back an forth) to lock into place. When I have them out, the lock slides up and down with no problems. When I get it in and try to slide it down, it won't go. I move the flap back and forth a little to make sure I'm sliding the lock into the right spot (it only goes in one way) but once there, it just doesn't move any further. Thoughts?

      There are locating pins at the back of the motor. You need to seat them before you can clip it in!

      A right pain doing right hand drive ones. TIS states M43 engines require head off which makes me wonder if someone from service department was sleeping with the designers wife, so many poor designs when it comes to servicing.

    Hi! My 325i e46 does not blow air at all. Might be the blower motor the problem? Some people say that the rezistor which control the blower might not work (the one under the glove box). What is your opinion on this?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Miller Simba We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com

      its the resistor, i have done it couple of time.

    • @3ricky13
      @3ricky13 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know locations of any systems in z 3 series. the resistors sometimes are attached to a blower motor, sometimes not. look on line to a post of your model. If your car is old it not a bad idea to replace both.

      check the fuse first

    • @shiloh5199

      You need to jump the motor, that will answer your question of it works. Jump the motor by applying 12V to the plug, I use my power probe tool for this but 2 jumper wires with alligator clips on both ends of both wires will work fine. A ground wire and a B+ wire. You can use the battery in th he car or an external battery not connected to the car will work as long as it's a 12V battery it should work. If motor doesn't run by jumping then it's dead, instead of buying a motor for no reason.
