- These days, we don't have to worry too much about meeting an early demise from ulcers, breaks in the stomach lining that could be fatal back in the early 1900s. This is because we have medicines to treat them, like proton pump inhibitors! In this final episode of Crash Course Organic Chemistry, we'll look at medicinal chemistry by breaking down how penicillin fights bacteria, how proteins are made both in the body and in the lab, and we'll finally finish our synthesis of penicillin V and complete our Mold Medicine Map! Hopefully this series has shown you the many ways organic chemistry is all around us and how it can help us to better understand ourselves, and improve our world!

Y'all knocked it out of the park with this one! I've been following Crash Course since the Biology days, and this course was super helpful in my organic chemistry education. I'm hoping y'all will start an inorganic chemistry or biochem course soon because I know you'll crush it like you did here

You absolutely nailed it, Deboki! I've been so in love with organic chemistry lately just by watching this as entertainment. I've never been so cleared out with this well-thought, impeccably presented, bite-sized information. Love this team! Hoping for Inorganic Chemistry or Biochemistry.
Fantastic series! It was crazy hard but I love the way Depoki lays out difficult material so clearly. This subject is so complex and i studied electrical engineering. I wish i had a more intuitive way of understanding the molecular interactions through orbitals.
Please keep the content coming. It is all so good. It might be nice to take a more complex dive into another science like sound engineering or a good math one with the equation machine. Yay for all your efforts!
